So it appears I posted the 1,000 message on our previous thread and now it's closed so I've opened us a new home!

It is very frustrating! I totally agree that most natural thing in the world is also seemingly the hardest! @Waiting2BAMummy

I've had a temp drop this morning, so I'm thinking that's not a good sign. Bloody hell! Just gunna await AF if it drops again tomorrow

Elvesdontdomagic · 24/11/2019 15:05

@Waiting2BAMummy yes it does work perfectly well!

I always do CD10 and CD13 and usually ovulate CD14-15. That's what worked with my 2 DD's (both worked 2nd try but first month on both was a chemical) so I go with that, I remember finding out my best days through babymed online but now I just know. I was younger then-34 and 36 so now I worry about my age (40 this week). My cycles are like clockwork though, does that mean I must be fertile??? I have less CM than I used to..tried concieve plus last month but as I said it didn't work so feel like it made no difference!

I feel lazy, I used to crazy check ovulation tests and dates but I'm sitting here wondering what day it even is! think I'm CD9 and meeting donor Tuesday as he can't do tomorrow..ugh I should do a OPK tomorrow. I do want this I'm just rusty! Good luck everyone this month!

Waiting2BAMummy · 24/11/2019 18:00

Bless you @LanieM87 maybe it’s an implantation dip 🤞🤞

If your cycles are regular hopefully you’ll be okay @Elvesdontdomagic when I first started TTC I got my positive opk on a Monday afternoon exactly 4 weeks apart since then they’ve been all over the place. I am really lucky though as my donor visits every other day from CD13 until I get my positive and then he visits that day and eat least the day after. That said I’m still not pregnant! I’m hoping that the progesterone cream is going to be the magic ingredient this month. If not I’ve been reading about this specialist who gets his patients to use the cream from CD5-26 for two cycles so that they don’t ovulate which means that on the third month there is a nice big healthy egg waiting to pop so if I don’t succeed this month as hard as it will be not trying for two months I’m going to give that a whirl. At this point I will literally try anything! I’m CD4 so my donor will visit Monday next week for the first time this cycle. Good luck for Tuesday!

Hey....so I'm out again, the witch arrived! Have everything crossed that it will be your month @LanieM87

Waiting2BAMummy · 24/11/2019 18:36

Sorry to hear that @Pinkfamily TTC sucks we just have to hold onto the fact that it will be worth it xx

LanieM87 · 24/11/2019 18:51

Thanks guys @Waiting2BAMummy @Pinkfamily but I think the jig is up - I've also had some light pink spotting today, which isn't unusual for me before AF. On to the next!

Sorry to hear AF got you too @Pinkfamily 😔

Elvesdontdomagic · 24/11/2019 19:24

@Waiting2BAMummy have you seen the GP yet or are you under 35? Do you need to wait a year? Sorry it's been difficult so far. You do have a fab donor by the sound of it!

Sorry @LanieM87 and @Pinkfamily hope next month is lucky!

Waiting2BAMummy · 24/11/2019 20:25

I turned 38 in July @Elvesdontdomagic. I haven’t seen my GP partly because I’ve just moved and don’t currently have one and partly because I just want to try and do everything I can myself before I go down that route.

Since I’m single and using a donor I feel like there’s no point in going to my doctor anyway as I wouldn’t get any treatment on the NHS. I think I’ve decided I’m going to try the progesterone cream for 2 months and if that doesn’t work I’ll use it to prevent ovulation for two months and then try again. At that point I’m going to seriously look at going to a fertility clinic.

Been peeing like crazy on ovulation sticks since Saturday and hoping to be ovulating soon about 12 days after my miscarriage, can't wait to try again, trying to keep really positive. Need some good vibes sending my way!!!!

Waiting2BAMummy · 25/11/2019 21:43

Fingers crossed for you @Busybee143 🤞🤞

VNAWENN · 26/11/2019 05:04

Sorry @Waiting2BAMummy @LanieM87 that AF arrived, seems like we're all going to be trying again. I have to wait until January now as we are away for Christmas and our clinic is closed due to construction work 👎🏼

How is everyone doing x

VNAWENN · 26/11/2019 05:05

Good luck @Busybee143 xx

Waiting2BAMummy · 26/11/2019 08:55

I guess at least you can try and enjoy Christmas (and the lead up to) without stressing over TTC @VNAWENN. I’m sure you really just want to get on with it but am trying to look for a positive x

I’ve read a few posts from women on the conception board saying their going to wait until January now as they don’t want their child to be one of the youngest in their year (because they’ll be born in August) is it just me that just wants a baby and really doesn’t care what month they’re born??

OP posts:
VNAWENN · 26/11/2019 09:01

@Waiting2BAMummy

No it's not just you, I'd have them whenever 🤣 Anytime of year of fine for me thanks 😊

LanieM87 · 26/11/2019 10:46

I totally agree @Waiting2BAMummy @VNAWENN I just want to be pregnant! Think I'll have another go in December and get two vials. If it doesn't work then I'll need to rethink as I'll be running out of money.

Elvesdontdomagic · 26/11/2019 11:43

Hi Everyone, I've done AI this morning and will be again Thursday, due to ovulate Thurday/Friday.

@Waiting2BAMummy my youngest was due in August but born July, I have no worries about her starting school next year at just turned 4. She was born ready for school! It doesn't matter anyway as you can defer a term or a year if they're not! Funny enough my eldest DD is September born and found it a bit socially difficult as she felt older than her peers! There's no right and wrong and I wouldn't wait!

I'd love to get pregnant this month. I'm 40 this week so would be a great birthday present! My donor doesn't think he can do December, I'm due to ovulate right before xmas which is annoying!

CleverQuacks · 26/11/2019 14:25

I am still waiting for AF to arrive so that I can start tracking my cycle. I can feel that it’s on its way but no sign yet. I have my donor booked in provisionally for when I think I will ovulate. December will be my first month of trying so probably won’t get pregnant but I am impatient to start!!

Waiting2BAMummy · 26/11/2019 17:26

Do you just use a syringe @Elvesdontdomagic? I use soft cups but I’m wondering if I should go back to a syringe and put the soft cups afterwards.

OP posts:
Elvesdontdomagic · 26/11/2019 19:30

Yes @Waiting2BAMummy just a syringe. I don't even know what soft cups are?

@CleverQuacks you never know! I got pregnant first time twice! Both were chemicals but then I went on to have both my younger girls the very next cycle! It happens!

Busybee143 · 26/11/2019 19:41

I also think I ovulate around Christmas day too so I don't think I will ask our already wonderful donor to go out of his way so close after Christmas.
This is my first ovulation after a 5 week miscarriage so I'm really hoping were successful, would my miscarriage count as my period so I will be enduring the normal 2ww or will my cycle be weird now?

Waiting2BAMummy · 26/11/2019 19:59

Soft cups cups are a type of menstrual cup @Elvesdontdomagic women use them instead of tampons/towels. My donor makes his donation straight into the cup and I just insert it.

Do you leave the sample to liquify for a few minutes before drawing it into the syringe?

OP posts:
Elvesdontdomagic · 26/11/2019 20:35

aha the menstrual cup, I've heard of them but never seen or used one! The sample liquifies within a couple of minutes so by the time I've got to my room and sorted my position out etc it's always been liquified. I actually put the sample straight under my armpit until ready to use to keep it warm! Then yes I draw it up the syringe. I get the kit with sample cups, syringes and various tests-ovulation, fsh and pregnancy tests from an online site called Pride Angel.

Waiting2BAMummy · 27/11/2019 10:58

So I’ve just had EWCM and I’m only CD8 don’t even start testing with OPK’s until tomorrow.... arrrrrggggghhhhhhhhhhh

OP posts:
CleverQuacks · 27/11/2019 13:17

What is EWCM?
