So it appears I posted the 1,000 message on our previous thread and now it's closed so I've opened us a new home!

EWCM_egg white cervical mucus

@Waiting2BAMummy I had EWCM CD9 but today is CD13 and OPK's still not quite positive. I do think it's good to get an early donation in though, sperm can live 5-7 days. With my middle DD I didn't ovulate until 5 days after the 2nd AI day and she's nearly 5 Smile

CleverQuacks · 27/11/2019 17:53

Ah thank you.

Also when do you start counting your cycle? I usually have a bit of spotting the day before my AF starts fully. So does my cycle start from spotting day? Or when I am bleeding more heavily?

@Waiting2BAMummy how good is your donor? Could you get him to donate regularly through the month? So you are more likely to catch ovulation?

Elvesdontdomagic · 27/11/2019 19:31

Technically @CleverQuacks CD1 is the day before AF although I've always gone by the first day I see any spotting. I start doing OPK's on CD10.

I got a very very almost positive opk tonight, slightly darker than this afternoon so I think ovulation will be tomorrow for me as I suspect my LH surge will be overnight and I usually ovulate day after or latest day after that. Should be great timing this month, meeting donor tomorrow morning for 2nd AI.

LanieM87 · 27/11/2019 19:55

So ladies - it turns out that what I thought was the arrival of AF was implantation bleeding.

I got a very faint line last night and an even stronger line on a FRER this morning.

I can't believe it. I'm honestly shocked. I've had no symptoms, nothing!

@LanieM87 congratulations!!! You must be so happy. You give me hope that this can work!

LanieM87 · 27/11/2019 20:55

Thank you so much @CleverQuacks I am happy but I think I'm mostly in shock which is silly as a BFP is the goal!

Waiting2BAMummy · 27/11/2019 21:15

OMG @LanieM87 that’s amazing. Massive congratulations!!

Thank you @Waiting2BAMummy I feel like I'm in a dream! It does not feel real at all. I just hope it sticks.

Thanks for listening to me moaning for all these months! I'm keeping everything crossed that this is your month 😊

Waiting2BAMummy · 27/11/2019 21:52

Haven’t heard you moan once @LanieM87 this is super stressful and talking about how your feeling helps, not moaning at all.

Fingers crossed for a happy and healthy 9 months. I want to hear all about it so don’t be a stranger.

Can’t wait to be joining you in the bump club x

LanieM87 · 28/11/2019 09:26

It mostly certainly does help! @Waiting2BAMummy You ladies have been a wealth of knowledge.

I'd love to stick around! I can't wait for you all to get your BFPs!

Waiting2BAMummy · 28/11/2019 21:21

Just spoke with my donor and he is visiting on Monday and then every other day until positive OPK.

He said in his message that he has a six month limit so is happy to help this month and the next two. This is actually the sixth month but I think because I moved he’s forgotten the previous three months. Should I be honest and remind him or accept the additional two months and keep my mouth shut?

OP posts:
LanieM87 · 29/11/2019 07:26

@Waiting2BAMummy I'd keep your mouth shut if he has forgotten and is willing to keep seeing you!

Waiting2BAMummy · 29/11/2019 07:39

That’s what I’m thinking @LanieM87 just don’t want to be dishonest. Hopefully I won’t need the extra 2 months anyway. My progesterone cream is being delivered and I’ve ordered some sample pots and syringes. I’m going to try those this month and then put the soft cup in afterwards. I’m wandering if some of the swimmers are dying being in the soft cup in the open air as he leaves it on the sink in the bathroom he obviously has to sort himself out and then he comes to say goodbye and I walk him down the stairs and then come back to take care of business. There is probably five minutes where the goods are exposed to the air which I know isn’t long really but it might just be too long. If he makes his deposit into the pot and then puts on the lid that’s at least eliminating the air issue. It may be nothing but I’m trying to think of every eventuality this month.

How are you feeling? Has the shock warn off yet? Do you keep POAS to make sure it’s real??

OP posts:
LanieM87 · 29/11/2019 08:24

Exactly - fingers crossed you won't need the extra time. Good luck with the cream - I never knew it was a thing until you'd mentioned it! Hopefully it will just give you the boost. I think the syringe and cup is a good idea as well, I'd think the same about the air getting to the sample. Will the syringe not get it slightly closer to your cervix as well? I don't know a lot about soft cups tbh!!

Haha yes I have been POAS since Monday morning 🙈 I'm annoyed though as I opened my digitals today and they both came up with errors. I know it's sad but I think I'd just like to see the word!! It hasn't sunk in at all and I just hope it sticks. I keep waiting for AF to arrive.

Waiting2BAMummy · 29/11/2019 09:32

Not sad at all @LanieM87 I’d feel exactly the same. I have 2 clearblue digital tests to use after I have gotten my positive as I don’t think I’ll believe it until I see the word.

I’ve bought a package that has the extension tube on it so should definitely be getting closer to the cervix. The soft cups are supposed to hold the sample near the cervix but I think I lose half the sample when I’m putting it in. I did read a post from someone who used them by putting one in afterwards and she rolled the side down so that it was flat against the cervix rather than having the dipped cup so going to try that.

CleverQuacks · 29/11/2019 10:14

Fingers crossed for you @Waiting2BAMummy. Your donor sounds very good so hopefully this will be your month.

My period still hasn’t arrived which means I need to re look at when I may ovulate. I was lucky that it was going to fall on a weekend so I could get a hotel but now it looks like it will be in the week. I am a bit anxious about my donor coming to my house the first time in case he is an axe murderer lol!

Waiting2BAMummy · 29/11/2019 10:24

Could you arrange to meet him somewhere in advance @Cleverquacks maybe just at a coffee shop or something so that you have at least met him in advance and will make it a little less awkward when he visits for d day?

OP posts:
LanieM87 · 29/11/2019 10:49

Have you tried using pre-seed? @Waiting2BAMummy I used that last month, of course I've no idea if it played an important role in my BFP but it certainly wasn't detrimental.

I know I have a faff with inserting my moon cup sometimes so I imagine a soft cup most be harder and obviously it's filled with important goods! I think syringe is a good way to go.

Sorry to hear your AF hasn't arrived as planned @CleverQuacks there is nothing like TTC to mess up your cycle!!

Waiting2BAMummy · 29/11/2019 10:54

Yes @LanieM87 I have used preseed though not every month. I only have 3 of the dispensers left so probably won’t use it on Monday but will CD14 &/or when I get my positive.

TimeIhadaNameChange · 29/11/2019 11:09

Congratulations, @LanieM87! I'm so thrilled for you! I remember the feeling of not really believing it well. DP was flabbergasted when I said to him, the day after my first scan (at 14 weeks), that I could now finally believe I was pregnant. He just looked at me and asked how the lack of periods, nausea and sickness, and bigger boobs hadn't convinced me. I think it was because it seemed like such an impossibility that I couldn't allow myself to believe it until I'd seen the wee one on the screen. (I'd been fairly convinced they wouldn't find anything and it would turn out my body was just playing a nasty joke on me.)

My protruding tummy is more than enough evidence for me now!

@Waiting2BAMummy - I'm in awe of you managing to get the cups in without spilling everything! I think I tried once as an experiment (using PreSeed rather than semen) and failed miserably! I just used them as a stop over the cervix post insemination.

I think, if I were you, I'd tell the donor that it has been 6 months and hope your honesty gets you another couple. If he realises himself he might get pissed off with you.

Waiting2BAMummy · 29/11/2019 12:38

See that’s what I’m worried about @TimeIhadaNameChange he said he is probably moving after the three months anyway so he is unlikely to find someone else to help for those two months.

That said, I’m really hoping I won’t need those extra two months!

In terms of putting in the soft cup without spilling anything it’s all in the position. I didn’t lay down and do it I squat over the toilet and you literally just push it in and back as far as it will go.

OP posts:
LanieM87 · 29/11/2019 17:16

Thank you @TimeIhadaNameChange I think maybe if I was experiencing more symptoms it would feel more real. I hear they mostly don't kick in for another few weeks though! I've had a bit more spotting today, which worries me, it's only miniscule really and I hear it's normal, so must stay calm!

CleverQuacks · 29/11/2019 17:40

Try not to worry @LanieM87 I had spotting throughout all of my pregnancy’s and have three healthy children!

LanieM87 · 30/11/2019 11:57

Thanks for the reassurance @CleverQuacks it seems to come and go. It was quite red this morning when I woke up but it's eased off and only on wiping.
Why is nothing simple?!

CleverQuacks · 30/11/2019 15:25

AF has arrived!! I have never been so happy to see my period lol. Now I can actually start trying.
