@Chasing I presume the blood tests are to check whether the hcg levels are increasing? If that's the case, I'd do that and then have the scan. Good luck xx

@SallyA1 oooh that's odd as normally they say withdrawn at posters request. I was racking my brain trying to think what you'd said that would warrant MNHQ deleting everything!!

@Sallly1 yes thanks. Had MW booking appt last Wednesday and got 12 week scan a week on Wednesday. Will be relieved when the 12 week mark has passed!

@OneMoreWish how many weeks are you now? I nearly cried when she said when it was! It's taking forever to get here! With DS we didn't tell anyone until after 12 week scan but I am showing already so quite a few people know and I keep thinking I hope it's all okay

I feel like I am waiting for something to go wrong, I don't remember being like that with DS so not sure if it's because I am older or it's taken such a long time to get to this point

@ButtonMooooon I'm 13 weeks now but still feeling anxious for some reason this time round people keep telling me their stories of woe which isn't helping. Someone told me at the weekend they lost their baby at 16 weeks. I was starting to feel better after 12 weeks and knowing the odd but this just made me worry again.

I remember worrying last time but not like this... I just keep breathing and saying today I'm pregnant - it helps a little. Xxxxx

I keep telling myself worrying won't change anything but it might cause something!

Hello hope you don’t mind me joining this thread! My girlfriend and I are going through IUI she had bloods taken today and did back Thursday all being well I believe we are systems go for procedure on Wednesday! Think I’m more nervous than she is waiting on it all. Anyone else in the same boat ?? Any advice greatly appreciated!

Sorry due back tuesday** it’s unmedicatated and our first attempt

So no procedure today blood results aren’t high enough she has had 4 blood samples taken at this stage, taken its toll on her 3 1/2 round trip for 5 minute appointment. I haven’t attended everyone due to work commitments. Hope we get word on the inseminaton soon feel so bad on her.

Just had my 12 week scan (at 12+4). Due 3rd August as given by Sheffield. Took 3 goes as baby wouldn't lie right but we had a good look at him or her (with hiccups!! Wish I had thought to ask if we record that to show DS but never mind!). Relieved to be officially past 12 weeks, can announce on FB to the few who don't know!!

We have our donor so will start IUI cycles from next month, all the waiting it's started to feel real, no idea how long it could take to be successful but I'm happy to be moving forward finally!

Thanks Laura, I sadly had an unsuccessful first cycle so will be looking to have a second attempt closer to the summer. Glad to hear things are moving for you now!

Thanks for the welcome. Home test this morning BFN. This would be day 32 of a usually 31 day cycle but no sign of AF yet though.

Have been a lurker until now. But thought i'd introduce myself.

I'm 30 and myself and my DP are currently in the early stages of TTC with donor sperm. First natural cycle IUI attempt this month hopefully.

We had a bit of hope yesterday and got a faint positive however DP has woke this AM with cramps and really dark blood so don’t think it’s spotting. Also has a strange feeling in her ear but don’t know if that’s related. Lol. Going to spend today together and contact the clinic tomorrow. Thinking of everyone who has been doing this for a long time

Thanks. If all goes well and I can figure the ovulation kits out (tried all last month but never got a positive for a surge, figure it was one of the 2 days I was stuck in bed and couldn't test) then we'll be going for our first try next week sometime.

Excited but super anxious too.
