DW this time round. I plan to follow the first child with a second but let's see what happens.
We were in the same boat ref donors, having 4 suitable options to choose from. Didn't take too long to select the one. Let's hope we're successful!
Testing on Weds 7th. Fingers crossed!

Dosmamas · 01/11/2018 19:42

@OneMoreWish any more news with testing?

OneMoreWish · 01/11/2018 19:58

Hello sorry I went MIA - so I got a faint line with evening wee which I hadn't held very long at 12dpo. I totally believed iui had worked. Even told my parents as truly believed it had worked. I couldn't wait to test with fmu and see a lovely stronger line the next day.

13 dpo fmu and bfn ... around lunchtime starting cramping and bleeding heavy :(

Don't know if night before was real or false positive.

Upset but picked myself up. On cycle three and last chance now. Scrapped money together to do this and won't be able to try again until may at earliest. Also don't know if need to move to ivf if there iuis don't work? Not sure how I feel about all the injections or spending that money when might not be successful rather than enjoy time with my son.

Feels all a bit serious but I seem a bit calmer than last month. I'm 2dpiui so I've got a way to go before I find out.

Hope everyone else is well xxxx

Dosmamas · 01/11/2018 20:11

@OneMoreWish aww sorry to hear that, poor thing. What day is the end of your current TWW? Fingers crossed for you! Xox

OneMoreWish · 01/11/2018 20:56

Not to sure I haven't looked as I don't want to be on countdown - just under two weeks. X

jemimafuddleduck · 02/11/2018 16:46

Hi all! So excited to say that we got a call today saying that the clinic have an egg donor match for us! Meds begin 19th November, then all being well with the donor, transfer is likely to be Christmas Eve!!!!! Eeeek!!! 🎅🤶😁

OneMoreWish · 02/11/2018 19:28

Yeah fantastic @jemimafuddleduck how exciting! Oooh what a countdown to Christmas! Xxx

Hello all,

Feeling very very low today.

I will have a better day tomorrow but ended up watching this debate on ivf.

One woman said it was a good thing some people can’t have children as they should be used to take children who need adopting as there is a surplus population.

Then MIL came over all excited talking about her daughter who is 20 weeks pregnant.

Now me and DH have had a row because I need to get a grip and not cry.

Feel shattered

OneMoreWish · 09/11/2018 19:30

@Babipotjam how you feeling today?

Please don't listen to that women. There are lots of reasons people adopt and I know for me if my fertility treatment don't work I am not sure I am strong enough to help a child who is in care and needs a stable family to adopt them and help and support them for whatever they might have been through.

I hope you have made up with hubby😘 xx

Laura207 · 14/11/2018 06:35

@Babipotjam hope you are feeling a little better this week, it's so hard - is there anyone close to you it helps to talk to? I've found talking to understanding friends or family is really helpful - there's some people I've learned to distance myself a little bit from at the moment (including my DH's family!) but I think that's okay too as you do really need to look after yourself.

@SallyA1 and @jemimafuddleduck that's really great news and so excited for you both.

We had the surgical sperm extraction and no sperm found so it is definitely the donor route for us. I feel fine and if anything a little relieved to put all that to bed now - as I think I knew in my heart for a really long time we'd need a different route - so had already moved on - but it was good for us to get complete confirmation.

I might not be as active on here for a little bit as think we may have a little wait for donor but will check back to see how you're all doing! Xx

OneMoreWish · 14/11/2018 08:18

@Laura207 it's good you are clear now what you need to do. I found once I knew what treatment I was going to do things slipped into place. I hope a donor comes up soon xx

So I'm 15dpo today and I'm cautiously excited. I've been testing early ( obvs as I have no self control) and I've had bfps since 10dpo but also had a little bit of pink and then some brown over the first few days.

Those who remember when I tried last month can probably imagibe how I've felt. This month though lines have been a lot stronger and last two days no spotting so I'm cautiously starting to believe...

Wish me luck I'll keep you updated x

jemimafuddleduck · 14/11/2018 18:30

Ahhhh @OneMoreWish I'm cautiously excited for you as well!! Will you have a blood test with your clinic to confirm?

We had our medication planning appointment last night, meds are arriving Friday and I start Monday. Tablets and nasal spray only, no jabs thank god!

It's crazy to think that somewhere there is a lady who is going through IVF for us. We know she is altruistic and not egg sharing (not that it makes any difference really!) - what an absolute angel she is.

I'm slightly concerned about alcohol as am going away for a night with my girl friends and it'll be boozy. The clinic said pre-transfer I can have a couple of glasses once a week but I just don't know what to say to my friends about the lack of drinking? They don't know we're going through this and I think saying I'm on antibiotics is an obvious pregnancy cover story? I can't say I'm driving as we are all staying away for a night.

Any advice/ideas/good lies appreciated! X

AnotherGin · 14/11/2018 20:44

@jemimafuddleduck What about blaming it on a pre-Christmas detox? It's suitably boring so might not invite suspicion...

jemimafuddleduck · 14/11/2018 21:43

@AnotherGin thanks for the suggestion. They won't believe that for a second, or will be trying to get me to give in - "don't be silly, this is the one night a year we're all together"!!

Argh, it's so difficult.

AnotherGin · 14/11/2018 22:36

Premature liver failure??

jemimafuddleduck · 14/11/2018 22:44

@AnotherGin bit dramatic 😂😂

Laura207 · 15/11/2018 11:58

Thanks @OneMoreWish 🤞for you xx

@jemimafuddleduck could you say you have a UTI (urine infection) I used to get recurrent UTIs and when I had them no way I could have drank alcohol!! Though you'd have to keep nipping to the loo to make the story believable 😂

ButtonMooooon · 15/11/2018 16:29

Hi everyone

So I've been MIA for a while after I had a bit of a meltdown in my last post and I decided to take some time out from the boards. I have been dipping in and out and trying to keep up with where everyone is at!!

Things have been progressing slowly but surely and I am just travelling home from our first FET!! We lost one embryo in the thawing process but the second they thawed was 100% so they've just put that one in and we discarded the first (which broke me a little bit I'll admit!). BUT we only need one to stick and hopefully that's the one that's in now and we still have 4 in the freezer!!

On to the 2WW at last!! 🤞

@OneMoreWish that's incredible congratulations!!

jemimafuddleduck · 18/11/2018 21:50

Hi all!

I start on my meds tomorrow at 7am! Tablets 2 x per day and nasal spray 5 x per day. I'm excited, nervous, apprehensive...

How are you all doing?

autumn8228 · 22/11/2018 18:49

DW is on IUI#2. TWW has commenced. We realise now that our first attempt was floored as the trigger shot was incorrectly timed (nurse error). Fingers crossed this attempt works...last one of 2018!

Hope you're all doing well! All the best Jemima!

ButtonMooooon · 23/11/2018 16:16

I think I am out. Had a really bad pain in the side of my abdomen last night and today I had salmon pink coloured blood on the pessary applicator this morning. I had this last Saturday and I hoped it might be implantation bleeding but it seems too far apart to have it again today Sad
