My body was quite different to normal last cycle and is different this cycle also. I think it's the medications, not anything that may or may not be happening in my uterus.

The 2WW is a complete mindfuck. I think (hope) I am a bit more chill this time around but I just want to know already!

Ttc2017 · 15/03/2018 10:02

Just had ascan the 9m follies have shrunk got nothing over like 6//7 now :( she said don't worry might be cs I'm on such a low dose so they upped my meds and back mon but if no change by Monday things not looking good for this cycle think she means it may get cancelled I no I can't be upset as not out the game just yet but feel disappointed they haven't grown and wondering why as I have no known fertility problems x

pickle162 · 15/03/2018 10:53

Ah sweetie that sucks, hopefully the increase in meds will get those follies growing. X

TinyPaws · 15/03/2018 13:10

Sorry ttc hope Monday brings good news for you x

Ttc2017 · 15/03/2018 14:36

Thanks one thing I don't get is the put me on low dose as I have no problems but surely because the supricur shuts down your own hormone system all people should be on the same dose irrelevant of their own body hormone system or is that silly question x

LRDtheFeministDragon · 15/03/2018 16:02

Sorry to hear that, TTC.

To the best of my understanding, people really do need different doses but they often try to start you on the lowest dose unless there's reason not to, just to avoid things like overstimulation which can be quite scary.

I think it has to do with how your body processes the hormones, which will be different for everyone, whether they're natural or synthetic hormones.

Doesn't make it easier, though!

pickle162 · 15/03/2018 16:09

The hormones are for different things so the suprecur is stopping you ovulating whereas the Menopur is making the follicles grow so they will be doing completely different things rather than fighting against each other :)

Ttc2017 · 15/03/2018 16:59

Sorry Yeh that makes sense I didn't realise it stops ovulation. Any one know what options are if you don't respond to meds x

LRDtheFeministDragon · 15/03/2018 17:04

Ultimately, donor eggs or donor embryos. But (and I could be wrong), I would think if you are producing follicles like this on a low dose, you ought to be doing fine on a higher one?

pickle162 · 15/03/2018 17:42

There are so many different medications so would maybe try you on a different combo

user1506254758 · 15/03/2018 21:53

Does the recipient age make a difference in donor egg success rate? Does anyone know? I've only seen it make a difference for over 45, but then a lot of recipients have premature ovarian failure so are younger than 40.

Ttc2017 · 15/03/2018 22:02

Just realised I haven't been injecting at 90 degrees argh hope that hasn't messed things up iv been grabbing skin pinching it n injecting downwarss inline with body.

TinyPaws · 16/03/2018 12:44

TTC Hopefully it won't make too much difference as long as you still injected into the subcutaneous fat?

I'm crampy and want to clean things (my usual PMT symptoms) :/

Latenightreader · 16/03/2018 12:57

Ttc - I discovered two weeks into taking lubion and clexane injections that lubion should not be taken at the same time as other injectable medicines... These things happen! I know with one medication the angle stopped a skin reaction. Fingers crossed all is fine.

Ttc2017 · 16/03/2018 14:01

Aw fingers crossed tiny how long now til you know? I am a stress cleaner n think pmt and preggy symptoms arer very much the same I'm not sure I'm hoping I got them in OK I just grabbed a lump of fat on my belly and did it into that rather that aiming for my body I'm so angry at myself can't believe I've messed it up but all I can do now is hope for three good days of jabs before next scan. Thanks latenight I didn't know that I'm not on those meds though so fingers crossed mine are ok together x

TinyPaws · 16/03/2018 20:25

I'm supposed to test on Wednesday. But I normally have a 13 day LP so period likely to start Tues if not pregnant.

I've been fairly chill this 2WW - up until today. My boobs are REALLY sore (worse than usual) and I'm proper obsessing.

Ttc2017 · 16/03/2018 22:02

Ah that's all positive :) not long to go! Fingers r crossed for u!

Help I'm bleeding wtf why is this happening normally I never bleed n have long cycles why would I bleed now does this mean game over for me :( x

TinyPaws · 17/03/2018 07:46

Sorry about the bleeding TTC. Have you phoned the clinic?

Peed on a stick this morning. I think I see a very very faint line. It's a cheap test and very faint so trying not to get my hopes up too much. Going to do a FRER tomorrow.

Ttc2017 · 17/03/2018 09:15

Ah that's really exciting tiny!
I rang clinic but they not open yet x

pickle162 · 17/03/2018 10:26

Ooh tiny keeping everything crossed

LRDtheFeministDragon · 17/03/2018 17:20

Ooh! Oh, tiny, how exciting! Fingers crossed. It would be such a faint line today, but hopefully tomorrow it'll be a lovely clear positive.

I did one this morning, and negative so far, but I don't feel too down as it's been a super-stressful couple of weeks (we're trying to find a house to move to and it's a 3-4 hour drive away; I've got a big deadline soon for work), and then I wasn't very well, so I have it in the back of my mind this might not be my month!

TinyPaws · 18/03/2018 08:03

Took FRER this morning, it was quite clearly positive, the second line appeared within 20 seconds.

I've not got my head around it, I mainly feel very lucky that I'm not facing another cycle of treatment with the associated stress and costs. The more I think about it the more incredible it seems. I just hope I have a sticky bean!

LRDtheFeministDragon · 18/03/2018 08:24

Oh, that's wonderful, congratulations! Stick in there, little bean!

TinyPaws · 18/03/2018 09:11

Thanks LRD! I hope you get good news soon. x

LRDtheFeministDragon · 18/03/2018 09:19

Thanks! Actually I've just seen something I wrote (I'm a researcher) got published today, so I have a 'baby' even if it's a textual 'baby'. So I'm ok. Grin
