God I REALLY fancy my sister in law

She is about 6 years younger than my DW and very good looking indeed, but has never really had a serious boyfriend and I think she is a tad jealous of her sister (DW and I are hand in glove).

I would NEVER do anything, but I can't help fantasising about her. She once injured her knee and DW suggested I massage it - with DW in the room - I obliged but when my SIL asked me to move my hand in a Northerly direction to massage her quads, I felt a bit hot under the collar TBH and broke off.

This is not an "am I normal" or "am I being unreasonable" thread, because (a) I know it's normal, and (b) it won't be unreasonable unless (to quote J.L. Picard) I make it so.

Just wanted to share...

That's like one of those logic puzzles

tooembarassed - stop it this instant !!!! My bil sort of fancied me a bit a long time ago, and I knew and felt ENORMOUSLY uncomfortable. STOP!!!

Swedes2Turnips1 · 30/12/2007 12:57

Forgot to add, DP's brother . He is the stiffest (and not in a good way ) person I have ever met. The Duke of Edinburgh and Prince Charles are lager louts in comparison. He is incredibly polite though and he does a lovely line in small talk.

I don't think this is an UQD thread - 'she is about' and 'very good looking indeed' doesn't sound like him - although agree the theme has his name written all over it. Unless he has cunningly changed writing style as well as name.

fireflyfairy2 · 30/12/2007 13:56

Do you have Sunday lunch with your SIL tetumrm?

Surely if it were UQD he would've spelled embarrassed correctly in the username?

bigmyrrhstrikesagain · 30/12/2007 13:57

This reminds me of one of by BIL's - apparently the summer before I got pregnant for 1st time he had informed my sister that I looked 'ripe' [Bleurghh...] He should know i suppose having fathered 7 and is a total beardy weirdy sandally man of the woods type. But he does leer so ....

Pan · 30/12/2007 17:46

True FF - And I overlooked that one too.

and am a bit surprised he didn't take the Catherine Tate bait as well....

maybe he should try "tootediousandsmuglyselfsatisfiedtobother" as a name-change....

KittyLetteItSnow · 30/12/2007 17:48

I fancy my sisters boyfriend

But its harmless as I would never act on it!

Daddster · 30/12/2007 17:49

UQD has been ironically taciturn of late - I have started a thread to see if he responds. Mind you with the number of the rude things being said about him his ears must be burning!

fireflyfairy2 · 30/12/2007 19:33

OMG Kitty & you just a freshly married woman too! What hope is there for the rest of us?

Well, having badgered my dh into picking a sister, I told 2 of my older ones today when they were visiting, that he had chosen the younger sister.... they were both deeply offended that he wouldn't have chosen them!!
So, ever the peace keeper he suggested that he could maybe force himself to fancy A.. A was most undignified in rubbing it into C.. who then labelled A as "sloppy seconds"

it's all fun round our way...

Daddster · 30/12/2007 21:10

Maybe the "tooembarrassed" spelling is deliberate and a double-bluff?

My ex-gf used to refer to my DB as "your exceedingly handsome brother", which she probably wanted me to think was intended as a joke, but in fact annoyed the hell out of me and also set me thinking that it probably wasn't a joke at all.

Skimming this thread makes me realise that honesty ain't always the best policy if you want to keep the relationship on an even keel. I give you for instance:

Any appearance-related question (e.g. do I look fat/am I going grey/does this dress look frumpy?)
Any question related to something which has taken a lot of work (e.g. did you enjoy that meal?)
Anything to do with friends and relatives (e.g. do you mind if you my [permanently depressive and needy] friend stays for a while/it is OK if my DB borrows the car for the weekend?)

manuka · 02/01/2008 15:36

I haven't read all of this thread but what I have read has been most amusing! Isn't it awful when you fancy someone off limits?!

Anyway Mr. Too embarrassed if you are still lusting over your sister-in-law perhaps this may help: her fanny reeks of fish from her terrible recurring thrush and its so baggy you wouldn't feel the sides anyway.
There! I bet you don't fancy her now do you?!

armyofme · 02/01/2008 19:40

urgh, does your dw actually know you think like this? poor lady....

Tooembarrassedtousemyrealname · 02/01/2008 21:07

Are you kidding? When DW asks me whether I fancy anyone real (as opposed to on the TV), of course I say "no", "doesn't look enough like you" or suchlike. It's utterly dishonest, but Christ, so is so much of what we humans do to make each other feel better.

I'm really amazed at the reaction this has provoked.

armyofme · 02/01/2008 21:22

so basically you lie to her about it to 'make her feel better'? if that is true that would be very patronising and would indicate a HUGE lack of respect for her. as would leering at her own sister. i repeat. urgh.

UnquietDad · 02/01/2008 21:31

Hello. Burning-eared one here. If I've been taciturn it's called being away having a bit of a life. And no, this is not me! I don't fancy my SIL.

When people say SILs are the big fantasy do they mean brother's wife or wife's sister? It's a bit confusing that we have the same term in English for two very different family relationships.

Did I say I fancied Catherine Tate?! I don't recall that!

Jeremyll33 · 09/02/2008 00:20

I assume most of you are living up in Britain. I live as a Brit in Germany where nudity is normal - there's a lake three miles from us where no one wears a stitch for example. Well my sis in law turned up a few summers ago to swim in our pool (one of those blow up ones if you think I sound rich) and promptly changed into her bikini on the lawn thus removing everything.

I'd been dying to know what it looked like.

Jeremyll33 · 24/04/2009 22:35

When U R kissing her in that Mwah Mwah way which direction do U go? Suppose it ends in mouth to mouth contact?
