God I REALLY fancy my sister in law

She is about 6 years younger than my DW and very good looking indeed, but has never really had a serious boyfriend and I think she is a tad jealous of her sister (DW and I are hand in glove).

I would NEVER do anything, but I can't help fantasising about her. She once injured her knee and DW suggested I massage it - with DW in the room - I obliged but when my SIL asked me to move my hand in a Northerly direction to massage her quads, I felt a bit hot under the collar TBH and broke off.

This is not an "am I normal" or "am I being unreasonable" thread, because (a) I know it's normal, and (b) it won't be unreasonable unless (to quote J.L. Picard) I make it so.

Just wanted to share...

Do you have much contact with her on a day to day basis?

brusselbeansprouts · 29/12/2007 19:51

And of course she is massively off limits which just adds to it. I would stay away to be honest. Thin end of the wedge and all that.

morningpaper · 29/12/2007 19:52

She sounds very tasty

I'm sure she's allowed to pump you up as long as your missus rides you home

(or something)

fullmoonfiend · 29/12/2007 19:52

Get over it. Now.

fullmoonfiend · 29/12/2007 19:53

Unless you live near a bridge. In which case, Get under it and feck off.

holidaywonk · 29/12/2007 19:55

ewwww, MP

I read somewhere that sisters-in-law are the number 1 fantasy for men. I have regarded my BILs differently since coming across this snippet of info. (Sorry, I know you said you already knew it was normal, but I was rather surprised to find this out.)

DavidTennantsMistress · 29/12/2007 19:56

stick away for a minute. does SIL 'play' on it a bit possibly?

fireflyfairy2 · 29/12/2007 19:56

I have 4 BIL & I would rather be poked by an out of date cocktail sausage than any of them!

OTOH dh has said before that my sisters' are very pretty

Tooembarrasedtousemyrealname · 29/12/2007 19:56

TOTALLY OFF LIMITS, I know - AND I'm married and wouldn't with anyone. SIL is round a couple of nights a week. When she wears something tight or low-cut, it really improves the sex with DW later on though. Not sure if that's or or .

All of this "I never think of anyone but you" is utter toss and I am sure it is exactly the same for women.

hmm, I think she knows you have a thing for her.

Does she ever text you? Do you call her the way you would call a friend? If so, then all this has to stop. (IMHO)

WideWebWitch · 29/12/2007 19:58

Well you know you can never do anything about it and it's a bit ewww tbh but er, thanks for sharing. Do you feel better now for getting it off your chest so to speak? If she's jealous of her sister I think this is VERY dangerous territory.

morningpaper · 29/12/2007 19:58

You sound perfectly normal

I remember once overhearing my drunk DH asking his brother if he fancied me, and his brother was hesitating and saying "Errm well she's family isn't she?" and I was thinking "OI! SAY YES YOU BASTARD!"

fullmoonfiend · 29/12/2007 20:02

You are allowed to fancy anyone. Window shopping is fine.

But sibling - especially sisterly - rivalry can be a terribly emotive thing and if your DW ever suspected for a moment you thought this way, you'll be eating your own balls in a bacon butty!

I think she does play up, but TBH I think she is jealous that DW has "found the right partner" rather than "me". There's nothing underhand - we don't text or phone each other except for normal ROTM stuff or when she can't get hold of DW and she never comes round when DW is not there.

This may sound a bit sexist, but I think she is prob. a bit sexually frustrated and likes compliments (the best she'll ever get out of me is "you're looking well").

"You're looking well"? Well your DW doesn't have much to worry about then. Don't you know that women think this means "You're looking fat"?

A ball basher I think.

DavidTennantsMistress · 29/12/2007 20:07

sounds like you've hit the nail on the head - she also sounds like she knows what effect she can have on any male - not just you. and would perhaps like some of the attentivness/attention you pay to your DW - well not nec you but iycwim.

perhaps DW could mention it to her if you're feeling uneasy about it all? either that or do a ross from friends and repeat 'grandma grandma'

Tooembarrasedtousemyrealname · 29/12/2007 20:07

Go on, admit it - you fancy/fantasise about men other than your DP/DH.

Or do you prefer Ketchup??

fireflyfairy2 · 29/12/2007 20:09

My sister's husband always tells me I look nice.... He calls me when he wants a chat.... Should I be worried?

I think not!!!
