Is anyone up for a photo thread? Mumsnet is pretty international and there should be some good entries. I'll kick off with some from my ride today through the Irish countryside.

Nice photos, nice to see you back on your thread theLongRider. I haven't been on my bike much (twice to be precise), having surgery in two weeks - but have been checking in now and then.

Oh, I've been busy. I was in the UK riding London -Edinburgh - London 1400km in early August. If I never see the Lincolnshire Wolds again it'll be too soon. Scotland was gorgeous. 1. Welland dyke. 2. Somewhere near Innerleithen. 3. Purbeck's listing church

It sounds like you had an interesting summer!

The German cemetery in Glencree on the edge of the Wicklow mountains. Beautiful and quiet. It contains the remains of German soldiers, civilians and pilots who died during WWI and WWII, only 128 of them. I've often cycled past over the last 25 years but I've never stopped until yesterday.

Not quite so beautiful, but this was from the weekend. I can't believe how warm the weather was. We're firmly back in jeans and jumpers today, ds had his 3 in 1 jacket on for our cycle to playgroup and I was sort of regretting not having taken his mittens along too!
