Is anyone up for a photo thread? Mumsnet is pretty international and there should be some good entries. I'll kick off with some from my ride today through the Irish countryside.

Thanks Spudlet, hoping the sling might come off next week... He's being so good about wearing it.

Sorry for renaming you Yessica Blush

I know this says 2014 but it was taken just last month when my 12 year old and I did the bridges of Glasgow. Crossed the clyde 18 times this day and stopped for a photo with the newly restored and installed big G. The symbol of the commonwealth games in 2014.

Hi Flavia, sorry to hear about your DS, hope he's on the mend soon!

Yes, we had an amazing electrical storm where we are, overnight on Tuesday. Woke me up around 1am so got up to watch for a bit! Then rumbles all day yesterday but it seems to have cleared now. How about you?

FlaviaAlbia · 20/07/2017 22:40

Not a hint of a storm here at all! It looked incredible (though obviously the flooding is terrible) on the news. I was awake and looking at the lightening map in envy!

County Wicklow under my wheels. Last training spin before the big one next weekend.

Nice 001. Love a nice leafy lane!

The harvest is well underway here in Norfolk, DS keeps leaning over to see the tractors and combines and sending me wobbling all over the place Grin

21 miles today with a late breakfast/early lunch stop which included this. I had the meringue, it was delicious!

Nothing too remarkable about my photo apart from that I am on my bike at all. We were heading for the cinder trail between Scarborough and Whitby (flat) but the traffic was hideous so we turned round and parked at beningborough and cycled to York (also flat!).

Found a nice place to eat our sandwiches by the river.

I lost this thread
Some amazingly great photos here Smile

katymac · 08/09/2017 21:46

We were on the Cinder trail earlier in the year it was great

BarchesterFlowers · 09/09/2017 09:03

It is in the local press ATM Katy, here, people are worried it is going to change, I think some of it could do with a bit of work/suspect a bit of scaremongering.

katymac · 09/09/2017 11:53

I thought it was nice if a little bumpy/uneven; I'd prefer a smoother ride but I don't know if it's used by horses as I imagine they don't like a hard surface?

It's hard isn't it no one like to walk around bikes whizzing past (esp with dogs or children) but so many tracks seem to be dual use & if you are commuting it must be hard

Did the bridges over the Red River. With meal breaks 12 hours 220ish KM.
The start. The power pack safe in the bag but near the iced water bottles did last the day and phone died 30 odd k from the end.
