Morning everyone 😀
What a terrible Sunday
'Wolf' l hope you are coping with this awful situation 💐
'Girlie' happy birthday to your DD 😀👏👍🧚‍♂️
Not planning on spending anything today have a great day everyone 😀

Happierwithouthim · 10/02/2020 12:41

girlie great that your dd managed her birthday well.

wolf hope ds is pitching in or staying out of your way

Bf put a deposit on a second hand table & chairs for me, I don't know how much so not sure what I've spent! Full price is €270.

New landlady rang and said that I could either pay €800 monthly and she'd put in the heating oil or €750 monthly and look after the oil myself so I chose the €800 monthly.

LaneBoy · 10/02/2020 16:48

£3.47 coop - mushrooms, snack and water

Therapist had to cancel this time, not sure if she will be able to catch up sessions but I still have my original session booked for 24th.

LaneBoy · 10/02/2020 16:55

Wolf ❤️💐

Happierwithouthim · 10/02/2020 17:11

€185 on valuation for new house
€300 tomo on piece for boiler, then fitting afterwards, not going through insurance for that amount.

Happierwithouthim · 10/02/2020 18:00

€39.43 on 6 months contraceptive poll

lifelongfrugaleer · 10/02/2020 18:21

£ 9 Tesco on tea bags and. Protein bars.
No other spends as no skatepark for ds

SnugglySnerd · 10/02/2020 19:18

How's it going Wolf? Hope some things were salvagable and the damage isn't too great. What an awful thing.

I really didn't want to go to work today but I had a good day in the end. Loads of marking to do, just having 5 mins first. Nsd.

ChristmasSeacow · 10/02/2020 19:34

Delurking to say: gosh Wolf that sucks. How bad is it? My parents were flooded once and it was horrible Sad

Glad your DD is okay Curvy. And enjoy your holiday North - I am Envy.

ememem84 · 10/02/2020 21:17

£58 accupuncture. She started getting rid of my neck knots. I didn’t realise how tight my neck was

Unescorted · 10/02/2020 22:03

Wolf that sucks... was it surface or ground water? If it is surface water it is better - things will dry out. If it is ground water hire a skip & I will come round and help you sling things out.

Also check with your insurer if they will pay the reinstatement value even if you have resilience works done. eg drying out, re-plastering and repainting costs £1000 (not real figures - but this is an example), they give you the 1000 and you pay to have the electrics heightened, a water sink and pump and water resistant plaster put in. This will reduce the increase in your insurance bill. It may also be the difference between getting insurance or not.

Mrsmadevans · 11/02/2020 08:39

Morning everyone 😀
Off to Cwmbran this morning for a quick browse , full tank needed so that will be sixty quid to start. Have to get cards for birthdays and money out for them too. Don't need to shop for anything else though but am going to Matalan to look at their new pink range of duvet covers for my Dd2 . Have a great day everyone 😀

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 11/02/2020 17:25

Blimey threads quiet today!

Hope everyone is okay 💐

I've been busy at work, managed a couple of NSDs though so that's good. Day off tomorrow and have a list of jobs to get done, need to get organised.

Fearofawelshplanet · 11/02/2020 17:47

Mrsmadevans - Cwmbran is ace for free parking Grin
NSD yday and again today. Been super busy with work, but all good otherwise...spendy weekend kids need new school trainers and its Mr Fear's bday Confused..

LaneBoy · 11/02/2020 17:59

Spends 49p maple pecan plait in Lidl. Best breakfast before my course :o

Accidentalaccountant · 11/02/2020 18:10

NSD yesterday. Today dog club thing 23 so not bad. Weather awful. Running last night. Twas hideous.
Girlie what course are you starting?

lifelongfrugaleer · 11/02/2020 18:22

£2.50 breakfast, £1.63 apples and carrots. Tis all.

Sleet and cold here. Brr

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 11/02/2020 18:44

Accidental I'm doing a degree level unit in wound care, am feeling a bit stressed when I try and work out how I'm going to fit studying in to my already too busy life!!

Just to prewarn you all I may end up coming off social media altogether for a bit....

ememem84 · 11/02/2020 21:44

I’m going social media lockdown for lent. I know it’s meant to be food or drink I suppose. But I need to lock. It. Down.

northender · 11/02/2020 21:44

Girlie glad your dd had a good birthday. Dd was 15 in November & had never had parties when she was younger as she always felt overwhelmed by birthdays & Christmas. She went out for tea with 10 friends & had a good time. I was so happy.
wolf hope things are improving. The wind is bitter & howling tonight.
Not much to report here. Minimal spends in the run up to the holiday, trying to get straight at work.
Had a lovely stir fry for tea

Accidentalaccountant · 12/02/2020 05:51

Girlie. I started OU degree at start Feb but have found it quite gentle so far. 1st assignment only 250 words which is tiny. Suspect it will gradually ramp up.
Em when is pancake day? Hadn't thought about it yet.
Should be NSD today

maddenlightfoot · 12/02/2020 06:20

Morning all! Really looking forward to half term when I can catch up properly with everything (you guys, friends, family, housework, shaving my legs 😂)

Em a digital detox for lent sounds like a great idea. I do like to give up something. Last year me and dh cut sugar (well, any obvious pudding, sweets, choc, biscuits etc) so I might do that again.

ememem84 · 12/02/2020 06:41

I think pancake days the 26th? Maybe. Not sure.

But yeah. No Facebook insta snapchat for me. I’ve done it before and it absolutely helped.

I generally have a flip through every day but haven’t posted anything for a while now.

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/02/2020 06:42

Week after half term is shrove Tuesday I think 25th? Maybe
Dunno what I will give up? Maybe SM? Our at least reduce it.

Nsd planned today except regular £20 riding for dd

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/02/2020 06:43

Ok x post em
