Thank you Snuggly, just not letting her out of my sight really.
We have ventured out, popped into our friends to give my friends dd her card and present.
Now sitting in McDonald's having some lunch, will go and get her a treat in a bit, she needs new boots anyway.

lifelongfrugaleer · 09/02/2020 13:50

I've made beef tikka curry in slow cooker, soup in pressure king & toasted sandwiches for lunch, queen of the gadgets here today.

We walked dog in between showers & I've bagged up as much turf as I had bags for in the shed today. Another job ticked off for house move.

Wolfcub · 09/02/2020 15:27

ememem84 · 09/02/2020 19:51

Oh god wolf not cool

lane poor Dd hope she feels better soon

We’ve been to another party. Birthday girl from yesterday’s nanny. Pub lunch then guitar playing and drinks in the pub. Kiddos were so good. We’ve brought a balloon arch home with us 🙄 at ds’ insistance.

Home now. Blowing a hooley. We walked home with the bloody balloon arch. Lost a few on the way. But mostly got here safe. Ds has insisted on taking balloons to bed with him.

Happierwithouthim · 09/02/2020 20:30

Wolf how awful for you, Hope there hasn't been too much damage.

NSD here but virtually spending loads, been looking online at sofas for new house, want a 3 + 2 seater, one of which to be a sofa bed. I like these

Orange warning in place for tomorrow now also here.

Em be careful they're not near his bed as they can deflate during the night, and smother a child. Sounds like a lovely weekend of parties and cakes

We made fork biscuits from cookingwithmykids.co.uk really simple 50g caster sugar, 100g butter, 150g self raising flour. They were delicious too.

The blue can be got in any colour or fabric but the details section of leather one is missing off website. I think I prefer it. Obviously once I've moved to rental house I'll visit some furniture stores in person too.

So sorry to hear that wolf there is flooding in lots of places here but we've been lucky so far.
Loving all the baking going on. I've made Christmassy Chelsea buns (using mincemeat). Delish but not good for the weight loss plan particularly when added to the equally delish toffee cheesecake ds made!
Have done a bit of sewing today. Trying to get into the habit of doing it more regularly as I love it and find it relaxing and it's frugal as I have so much fabric stashed I could sew all year without needing to buy any!!

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 09/02/2020 21:52

Just catching up.

Curly that must have been the longest 4 mins of your life, sounds terrifying. Hope your dd is okay now.

Oh no wolf how much damage is there?

We've had a busy wend, it's dds 14th bday today!! Bowling with her friends went well ystd, they all turned up and everyone had a good time 😊 I'd already paid for bowling. Lunch was Macdonalds and came in at £20 ish which wasn't too bad.

I spent £30 in Sainsbury's Ystd on food and feel like I got a fair bit for that.

Today we had a family party which went well, dds been thoroughly spoilt and there's been no melt down which is fab (she usually gets completely overwhelmed on her bday!)

The weather is abysmal today, we lost power for ages tonight which I'm assuming was weather related.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 09/02/2020 21:59

Happy Birthday to your dd Girlie!

And thank you, dd seems to be doing ok.

ememem84 · 10/02/2020 06:36

happier they were in his bed. But the minute he dropped off to sleep I took them out. He woke up at 530 crying for his “loooons”

Still blowing a hooley outside. South coast roads have been closed due to flooding and flying debris. We have the strong winds and very high tides (12m I think). There is an advisory note from police and cosstgurds that schools might be shut (but nothing confirmed yet) boats aren’t coming in until at least Thursday. No flights in or out.

Motorbikes have been blown over. A trampoline has escaped someone’s garden and went for a jolly down the hill apparently.

Dsis’ friend lives opposite a beach on the south coast. She’s reported sitting in her living room and the sea throwing pebbles at her window. Very anti social....!

Roads closed until 930. That’s the main way into town so we’ll have to go the other way to get to work. Along with everyone else....

lifelongfrugaleer · 10/02/2020 06:41

I like the blue

lifelongfrugaleer · 10/02/2020 06:43

Very windy here today. Lots of my team are WFH today. I walk so will be fine.
Take care out there

Happy birthday girlie dd

Wolfcub · 10/02/2020 07:10

Happy birthday Girlie's dd Cake

No sleep here. Still raining and bowing a gale. A day of cleaning and salvaging awaits
