I'm feeling all the eurghs for you life 😴.

Thanks happier! I can report that frugal me found a book or started and abandoned so I'm reading that. It's not totally my cup of tea (Adriana Trigiani someone?) but I bought it as a deal as I'm sure years ago I read one of her books and really loved it so I've decided to persevere with this one for now.

Trying to get out of bed but I know we've run out of tea bags so my usual motivation is not there!! Happy Friday all x

Still in bed. Need to get up. Off to work this morning to make up time for yesterday morning as done want to waste my annual leave.

So so tired. Both kiddos kept me up practically all night. By 4 I’d had enough and said to dh I’d go sleep on the couch. Dh got up with dd and took her downstairs. Probably gave her a bottle and she’s now back in bed.

He’s in the shower the. He’s said he’ll sort ds out. I’m hiding in bed until dh gets out. Roll on 1230 when I can go home!!

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 07/02/2020 08:25

Morning all, also tired it's felt like a long week! The dog had me up over night needing a poo 🙄 think I'm going to have to start taking him on a short walk before bed time.

Ystd was a NSD though although not frugal really as today dd and I will have to buy lunch as I forgot to pick up bread Ystd !!

Also need to pay window cleaner £10 and dog walker £10.

Unexpected day off today. We had far too many staff rostered, so I offered to take a days leave. To my shame, I came home, had some breakfast and went back to sleep again. Will be more productive this afternoon.
It would have been a day without spending but Puss has been scratching at her ears so it’s the vet this evening. She won’t thank us.

maddenlightfoot · 07/02/2020 14:57

Ooh duchess how decadent! Sounds amazing and totally worth it!

Do dashcams reduce car insurance? I've just renegotiated mine (saved £120 off renewal price with Admiral. Could have switched to another company for about another £40 off but never know if it's worth going with one of the unheard of random companies that pop up in comparison sites?) ...anyway, just wondered as they asked if we have a dash cam when rejigging the quote?

Em I hope you're back from work and able to rest (did you manage to get childcare for the whole day?!!)

Wolfcub · 07/02/2020 15:51

£28 wilkos including new ironing board cover (nightmare to fit), draining board thing. File rack for ds's school books. And new notebook and motivational pencils for my job application drafting.

5.50 Greggs

Fearofawelshplanet · 07/02/2020 16:21

NSD...

Fearofawelshplanet · 07/02/2020 16:32

Mrsmadevans - had 2 days great sleep and went in today coming from a different perspective, much happier - thank you! Happy weekend...

Lovemaltesers · 07/02/2020 16:52

Would have been a NSD until I had to pay £10 for a Rainbows trip. No one warned me girl guiding would require a 2nd mortgage, I swear I hand them cash every week. DDs love it though.

lifelongfrugaleer · 07/02/2020 18:50

Spends which can and can't be claimed in London.
Sainsbury's coming in a bit £78

SnugglySnerd · 07/02/2020 20:02

Hope you managed a quiet afternoon Em, it's horrible going to work after a night like that.

Nsd. I am very tired. Want to go to bed but that feels like a bit of a waste of a Friday evening! Will have an early night though.

TheDuchessofDukeStreet · 07/02/2020 20:08

@maddenlightfoot, it was rather lovely. I think the unexpected treats are sometimes the best.i feel much better for it. I’m not sure re the car insurance question. The camera we bought is rear view only.

@Mrsmadevans
You’re more than welcome. Have you had a trip over to Costco yet?

Puss has had both ears cleaned out, a bottle of drops and a check up for her insurance. £55. She is not pleased. We have to do her ears with the drops and cotton wool once a week. The vet was sweet with her. She miaowed and hissed, Puss that is, but did not scratch or bite, she is a gentle cat.

Snuggly I went to bed at 9pm last night even though it felt like a waste on fri night. Discovered part of the boiler in bits, we move out in three weeks & this looks like it could be expensive Angry I felt like crying Sad going to see the house I'm buying today & possibly a new set of table & chairs (new to me reconditioned on Facebook) and this took the joy out of it. House is cold too & there's a yellow warning for today & tomorrow so it's incredibly good timing AngrySad

Got my smear results back, they're clear, anyone reading this who hasn't had one done recently - get it done !! I knew my sisters was due so got on to her to get hers done & she's going to after she moves.

Going to tip this morning probably €10.50

TheDuchessofDukeStreet · 08/02/2020 06:06

Hello Owl. I have two Christmas presents already, a pretty bag for my Mum that I will fill with toiletries and a Stanley hip flask for my neighbour which was half price in the National Trust shop sale after Christmas. I will pair it with a bottle of something nice. It’s never too soon, one really feels the benefit in December.

Happierwithouthim · 08/02/2020 07:22

Welcome owl I don't buy each month for Christmas but save so that the moneys there when I need it. €25 weekly will mean having over €1000 for Christmas

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/02/2020 07:57

Stay safe this weekend frugaleers

Wolfcub · 08/02/2020 08:08

Oh no Happier, you've recently had loads of boiler/hot water system work too so that must be gutting. It can be fixed though. Don't let it cast a cloud over your new chapter

No hot water for the third or fourth time this week. I do not like ice cold showers 🧊

Hair this morning, need product so will be £65 ish. Then farm shop, then pub
