👋 sorry I've dropped off thread over the past few days. Super busy weekend and some major work stress.

The house dilemma has been solved for us. The seller has taken their house off the market. There is nothing else around that is 'enough' for us to move for. We'll review in about 18months when our mortgage is up for renewal. In the meantime we're going to make some small changes at home. Eg we just painted the bathroom (in readiness for the viewings) and it's lovely! Only around £20 in total - and a few hours work!

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 05/02/2020 16:27

Nice day off today, met friend this morning for dog walk and a coffee £4.

Spent £14 on a couple of last min bits for dds bday.

Went into town
£2.50 parking
£2 drinks
£3 bday cards x 3
£4 bday gift for one of dds friends
£19 Poundland toiletries, food and cleaning stuff.
£60 Boots I stocked up on my face cream and foundation which were on 3 for 2 offer, I don't buy much for myself really and this will last ages.

Going to walk down to the co op later to raid the yellow labels!!

ememem84 · 05/02/2020 17:45

Potentially no work for me tomorrow. Had to pick Dd up from nursery early as she had a few dodgy nappies. Not sure if it’s because she’s had purees and her tummy isn’t used to it or if it’s a bug or teething. But 48hr exclusion rule applies.

So I’ll either take the full day with her tomorrow and try and go in on Friday or do a half day tomorrow.

Lovemaltesers · 05/02/2020 18:19

Funny week here. Pinnacle so far was having my ears chewed off by an agency where we’d effectively gazumped a teacher off a job from them. My boss refused to talk to him Hmm.

Anyway, managed to forget to edit my Ocado order for tomorrow. So not sure if we’ll have a sensible choice of food coming 😂

£3.50 Aldi

I was pleasantly surprised when my boss reminded me it was my day off tomorrow Smile. Lost all track of days!

CurlsandCurves · 05/02/2020 20:52

Hi hi hi,

NSD here today, good stuff.

Got an absolute bargain yesterday. My friend showed me this gorgeous maxi dress from MandCo that she’d got in the sale. Then when she nipped out at lunchtime she came back to tell me there was 1 left in our size. Originally £59, which I would never pay. I got it for £7.20!

I’m trying to be as frugal as possible because things are really tight at the moment but I couldn’t turn that down!

northender · 05/02/2020 21:31

Some grocery shopping today, not sure how much dh & ds have spent. Otherwise not much other spending.
Work is awful this week, roll on half term!

LaneBoy · 05/02/2020 21:40

7.15 lunch before my appt
3.99 magazine for DS who was puking overnight/today. Cagletini all better.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 05/02/2020 23:16

love enjoy your day off tomorrow.
curls that is a brilliant bargain.
north, I hear that, I can't wait for the half term either!
em and lane hope poorly kiddies get better soon.

Spends today
£6.17 in superdrug
£17 on a book.

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/02/2020 06:27

That's too much of a bargain to leave. Think of the price per wear. It will be awesome.
Gws DS caglatini.

£2 polo mints yesterday was it.

ememem84 · 06/02/2020 06:45

So far so good. Dd woke up at 1 this morning. But went back to sleep. I’m going into work this afternoon as I really don’t think it’s a bug. So dparents will watch her for the afternoon.

Nsd yesterday.

I was given my invoice for my therapy sessions. So glad my insurance is covering it. £125 a session! Yikes!

SnugglySnerd · 06/02/2020 07:20

Morning all! I've lost track of the thread a bit this week. Been very busy at work and working in the evenings.
Have to spend some money today on DH's birthday and nursery fees which I'm slightly late with. Oops!

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/02/2020 07:41

That's good news em.

Ooops snuggly.

I need carrots today and that's it. Off to the big smoke tomorrow so will be done expenses.
Oh and £24 cleaner but that's a routine spend

Happierwithouthim · 06/02/2020 08:45

€60 payment to 0% cc
€160 extra to joint account as it's seriously low and lots of direct debits to come out
Last mortgage payment for a few months due to come out tomorrow, must look into rental insurance too.

As a result my own account is very low Sad but not overdrawn
Have gathered my medical receipts to do my med1 returns, small money but I'll get it done anyhow.

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/02/2020 10:14

Home today with DS so nsd after all.

My day was the opposite of no spend! It was very spendy. All planned/needed though, nothing frivolous.
Just having 5 mins sit down before I start doing jobs/school work again. Thank goodness it is almost half term.

Happierwithouthim · 06/02/2020 20:06

€120 on woodpellets hopefully last purchase of them! But realistically second last.

Collected package from post office & asked about forwarding mail to new address as both addresses are local & my local post office is sorting centre they're going to do it for free Grin
