Duchess- wow thanks for the fab recipes!
I made a 16 piece choc tray bake with buttercream tonight for family munch for the week. Ingredients only cost 2.50 and the pieces are huge so very happy.
Will try those and report back. Thank you for taking the time to reply in such detail...
NSD....

ememem84 · 03/02/2020 21:27

£1.44 (really £9 something but had 7.80 PayPal balance) on boomf.com. Sending dsis a “boomf bomb” from the kiddos for Valentine’s Day. Personalised and everything. Full of glitter and confetti 😂😂

ememem84 · 03/02/2020 21:28

Also. I’m on day 34 of no clothes or beauty spends. #smug

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 03/02/2020 21:49

£56 in Aldi, hopefully got enough for two weeks other than a small top up shop.

Works busy and I'm knackered.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 03/02/2020 22:10

Wolf well done on winning the voucher!

Forgot my lunch this morning, but had it for dinner, so no waste.

Coop (lunch) £5.85
Iceland £13.62 on fresh fruit, veg, cereal, coconut milk, bread and popcorn.

northender · 03/02/2020 23:53

That's the Bero book I have Duchess. Mine is looking very battered now.
My only spend today was £14 on a meal out with friends which was lovely & very worth it.
Tomorrow night I am spending £15 on a workshop "getting to know your sewing machine". I've got a great sewing machine, bought with money from my mum & I use it quite a lot, but there are so many features/functions that I don't use.

SnugglySnerd · 04/02/2020 07:03

Morning all! Checking in and I need to read back. I was working until late last night. Supermarket shop was £89 again. Try as we might we can't seem to get it any lower. I'll be getting more fruit and veg before the end of the week too. We just get through so much. I wish Aldi or Lidl delivered! We just don't have much time so end up getting a Tesco delivery most weeks.

Mrsmadevans · 04/02/2020 08:50

Morning everyone 😀
Up my local town this morning not planning on spending anything but have 2 parcels and cards to post so that will be best part of a tenner l expect.
Hope everyone is feeling ok and has a good day. Fear you are getting me inspired to bake subsequently eat m'dear 😂😂👏😋😋😋
Have a great day everyone 😀

Happierwithouthim · 04/02/2020 09:19

Morning everyone Grin
Spends since last posting
€5 hospital parking
€145.00 Dunnes including €14 on two pairs of pjs for dd she just keeps on growing taller and taller so €131 on groceries. The Dunnes vouchers are valid for 10 days so I'm stretching out the grocery shop to this. This will mean 3 shops in Feb.

Last year my average monthly spend on groceries was €498.85. This January was €385.74 and I'm hoping for something similar this month. Although I spent €603.38 in December so maybe January's lower spend is as a result of this, will see at end of the month again. Because I get paid weekly I don't check stuff like this monthly but if I can keep this up it's a significant saving! Hmm

snuggly how much would you save shopping in Aldi? Could you do one big monthly shop there and a small tesco delivery weekly for topping up?

north I wish there was a class like that here, I bought a sewing machine maybe 10 years ago and have never used it, my mother borrows it from time to time when hers is giving trouble though so not a complete waste.

Well done em how's the second week back going? Glad your dh apologised.

Dd managed to spend €22.50 on a game and things in a game on my phone on Sunday, I've secured a refund for €4.49 of it and I'm going to take half of the rest from her to help teach her a lesson. She didn't realise at all, ds is 3.5 years younger and would know what was happening Confused

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/02/2020 11:45

£3 hospital parking and £6.74 breakfast.
DS has a head injury but is ok.

Well done on the voucher wolf.
How is bf happier? My DC have done that before with in app purchase. It's so vexing.

That workshop sounds great. I sold my sewing machine.

Snug I can't get my shipping down at all. And food keeps on going up

ememem84 · 04/02/2020 12:08

Waiting in gov office to sort dds passport out. This could be spendy.

LaneBoy · 04/02/2020 16:25

Spends
£8.04 lunch
79p gum
£5 taxi home

Happierwithouthim · 04/02/2020 17:33

life he's a good bit better but still in hospital. He hopes to be let out tomorrow.

If she did it and was aware of it, I'd get over it quicker but the fact that she didn't even realise it is annoying.

€50 deposit paid to secure my camping trip holiday with dc to an island off the coast of Cork!! No electricity, no car etc on the island for 3 nights Hmm

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/02/2020 19:07

The camping sounds fab. But 3 days is enought. Fingers crossed bf carries on getting better

Happierwithouthim · 04/02/2020 20:00

Well there's a ferry every day if it is too much for us.

Staying in a yurt with a stove, proper beds & a gas cooker. There's a pub & a couple of open farms on the island too.
We'll bring books & cards & we'll enjoy each other's company & hopefully good weather

ememem84 · 04/02/2020 20:12

£58 for dds passport. Eeek!! She’s such a big girl!!

Gym after work.

Pasta and homemade kale pesto for dinner.

Dd tried purée at nursery today. Peas and something. We think it’s confused her tummy a bit. She’s superbly farty.

Fearofawelshplanet · 04/02/2020 20:23

Mrsmadevans...i am enjoying the baking and the eating even more Smile
LSD £6 or so local shop extra bread, frozen chips and light bulbs, very hectic day at work. Xx

ememem84 · 04/02/2020 21:52

I caved. Bought two pies of shoes and a pair of trousers in dorothy Perkins. £56.

Basic plain loafers in tan and black. And a pair of blue (like the preview/post button blue) ankle grazer trousers.

Unescorted · 04/02/2020 22:12

@ChristmasSeacow you have been a shoulder for so many of us - if you need to rant / off load/ need someone to laugh with because otherwise you will cry, then we are your people. Nothing is too gross ( I married my dh after all)

girlie contact you RP - they have discretion to not do the RPI + 1%. Argue on affordability - most start getting worried when you go over 30% gross income for accommodation costs.

I am in a minority with the tattoos too. I can't imagine ever getting one, despite seeing ones I like. DD has done an amazing intricate dot work octopus that will cover most of her upper arm. The trouble is finding a tattooist who can take the art work and put it on her skin. All the ones she has approached so far have said that they are unable to try.

Mrsmadevans · 04/02/2020 22:14

I am not surprised you bought some clothes EM l saw the pics of that fabulous coat the DOC wore to the Mumbles today , it was gorgeous! I blame her entirely Grin
Fear have a good nights sleep you must be so tired.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 05/02/2020 00:11

Happier holiday sounds wonderful, a real chance to connect!

Em, hope dd didn't stink too badly?!

Unescorted, I'm not sure where you are in the UK, but there is a tattoo parlour called Rock n Roll and they do dot work. My daughter is in Edinburgh and even though she hasn't had a dot tattoo done yet, she will go to them when she does, their work is excellent, according to her.
They have parlours in different parts of the uk.

Spends £8 on take out for the dcs. It was ds2 parents evening and we got out late.
Ds2 is doing really well, just needs to tweak a few things to really reach his full potential.

£71.26 ocado delivery, but I had lots of damaged items today, Ariel liquid in with my flours, juice and chocolate spread, the liquid bottle got damaged and leaked all over!
Cat litter that was placed on top of cartons of orange juice, which split and then soaked into the cat litter. Open ham packet and broken eggs.
I put in a refund request, but also sent an email complaining, someone got back to me pretty quickly and apologised and they are going to refund me, plus have given me a £10 voucher off my next order.
Can't really fault the customer service.

ememem84 · 05/02/2020 06:41

@Mrsmadevans just had a quick google. That is a rather lovely coat she has on!! I do love her style. So elegant. But then I also rate the DOS’ style too. Especially when she was in suits.

@CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces nah...!! She’s ok! Ds has started to say “Dd youre a stinky baby!”

@Unescorted that tattoo sounds fab.

Therapy session today at lunchtime. Then yoga later this evening.

TheDuchessofDukeStreet · 05/02/2020 07:14

£130 on camera for car at Costco on Sunday. DP paid for £60 groceries there and renewed our membership. Did so much laundry and ironing yesterday, lots left on two big airers.
Unexpected yellow sticker luck in Tesco, pack of two ready cooked chicken breast £2.20, and packs of honey roast ham 80p. I bought all seven of the latter, feeling slightly guilty but no one else seemed interested. So that’s an easy dinner sorted and DP ‘s lunches for a while all in the freezer. Two nice ripe little pineapples also, just ready to cut into, 28p each.
I have a sewing machine doing nothing too. Might get it out and give it a go. If I could learn to make a tiered look skirt I would save money as I like these in the summer.

Mrsmadevans · 05/02/2020 08:19

Morning everyone 😀
EM l know the coat was just gorgeous 😍 l am looking for a bargainous copy as l speak 😂😂😂
I loved the DOS style too but DOC seems to have cracked it lately , spot on in my book. I used to love Diana's fashion
sense too, she was so innovative and a sense of fun too especially with her accessories .
I am going on 😂
Duchess , my Dd2 bought DH a sub to Costco for his birthday, he was delighted 🤗, would you mind telling me what camera you bought please? I have been thinking of buying one for the car, there are so many and they seem so complicated to set up though 🙄 thank you 💐don't worry if you don't have time🤗
Hoping for a NSD today , have a great day everyone 😀
