Em I love oi frog! Definitely a modern classic. Haven’t got it for Cagletini yet (I remember getting it from the library when the other two were little) but it’s on the list for the future :o

I’m up doing algebra with DS at 8.15 Hmm :o happy Tuesday.

DH’s birthday today, I am on a course while Cagletini is at nursery but we will see if DSD can babysit at some point soon so we can go out for dinner. If not tonight it should be NSD for me.

ememem84 · 21/01/2020 09:06

£4.80 coffee and coconut slice. Killing time before nursery.

Need to pay lawyer today for wills £780 and balance to window people for door £1038

So absolutely definetly not a nsd!!!!

Em you read Eleanor Oliphant didn’t you? And maybe others on here did?

Course leader just read out a page :o it’s moved up my to read list.

ememem84 · 21/01/2020 11:34

I did. I loved it. I found I hated and loved eleanor. And felt sorry for her. It’s an excellent read.

Dd is back from nursery and I smashed the cardio at the gym. Exhausted now.

Morning everyone.

Had a low spend weekend as I was working. Spends yesterday we’re £40 on petrol, £12.45 in M&S (but had a voucher for £10 so only £2.45 real money) and £18 on lunch out with my lovely friend. Today I have spent £50 on Accessorize sale as there was an extra 20% off so I bought some birthday presents. Mrs I think you have the same frugal mindset as me 😜 Hoping the rest of the day will be spend free.

I am really trying hard to get my 10,000 steps in every day. It’s easier the days I’m working but more difficult when I’m off (watching Netflix) and not doing as much. It’s too wet here at the moment to go for long walks so I’ve been pacing up and down the lounge which is pretty boring. Last night I had an inspired idea and put some music on and decided to dance about instead. You should have seen the looks on my family’s faces 😮

Lane I have read Eleanor Oliphant. I thought it was ok. I didn’t love it and found it a bit depressing but I know I’m in the minority as most people rave about it.

Happierwithouthim · 21/01/2020 11:52

I also read Eleanor Oliphant and didn't get why people love it.

nibdedibble · 21/01/2020 11:53

I've just been quietly not buying anything except food for the house! And a book for work. I had dinner out with friends but that's a plus for my social life so meh.

It feels great. I've had things in my online basket quite a few times and just gone 'no, do NOT need that' and deleted it. Also am not drinking which means I'm saving there too.

ememem84 · 21/01/2020 12:54

21 days no clothes spends. Whoop.

LaneBoy · 21/01/2020 14:27

Woohoo well done on the less/no spends! I’ve massively cut down on food spends which feels great. I can’t claim any willpower though as it is due to the ADHD meds working (dopamine issues = food cravings and poor impulse control)

Wow I’m so so pleased with Cagletini’s nursery. She’s struggled to settle so far but today they let her go in the smaller room. They are meant to move up when they turn 2 (she’s almost 2y3m), but the problem is then they are all in a big bright hall together and most of the other 2 year olds go in the afternoons, so she’s been quite overwhelmed and tearful being in with bigger kids I think. Apparently she calmed right down and was helping look after the babies 😍😅 and got really chatty and stuff. They’re going to take her in there each day now and then gradually integrate her back into the hall. I’m so chuffed they looked at her needs and worked around them :)

ememem84 · 21/01/2020 15:27

Amazing lane it’s so nice that they do that! So glad you’ve found a nice place for her!!

Lane that's lovely of the nursery
Madden what did you decide to do?
Girlie photo?

€100 on 12 bags of wood pellets & a part for the boiler

We've no electricity at work tomo & I nearly always have a hot lunch so I've decided to treat myself to a nice bread roll tomorrow morning on my way to work & I've made the filling bacon, avocado, sundried tomato, artichoke hearts & pesto this evening, will have some spinach too if I've some left. Actually will check freezer in case I've ciabatta there

Happierwithouthim · 21/01/2020 19:58

Photo is showing now, he's fabulous

theweightlossone · 21/01/2020 20:01

Can I join you please?

Desperately trying to be better with money and have no one to sound off to really!

Unescorted · 21/01/2020 21:00

Madden it keeps me in a good place living here. My work are really good (sometimes....) - they know if I am stressed then I am best working from home so I can take a long lunch and take a run/ walk out on the hills.

Lane that is fab they are being accommodating.

Theweight of course you can join in. Just post away!

northender · 21/01/2020 22:21

unescorted we walked up Cracken Edge but not to the top of Chinley Churn or Big Stone. Friends had elderly frail dog with them so we were limited by what she could do. I love where we live. The city itself isn't the prettiest but we live in the outskirts, v close to the motorway network so we can access so much beautiful countryside very easily.
I have now read back, loving all the chat at the moment.
seacow enjoy your yarn!
em glad dd has settled well at nursery so far, where has the time gone?
No spends yesterday or today, heavy spending over the weekend though. Dh has helped a couple of people with tax returns so there will be a few free drama lessons for dd and a bit of holiday spending money on its way.
Our bank switch to HSBC has gone through, so that should be a £175 bonus very soon. We've got a full coin jar so need to start cashing that in.

lifelongfrugaleer · 22/01/2020 06:18

Gorgeous doggo.
Lovely views. I'm a country girl it soothe me too.
That nursery sound great lane? Being flexible with DD
Pleased your DD settled to em. Happy last mat week.

Nsd yesterday, need wraps and carrots today.

Accidentalaccountant · 22/01/2020 07:06

Doggy looks lovely and clean. Unlike mine. Likely to be spendy today as having a few bits done on the house. All niggles. Will be good to have sorted.

BuddhaAtSea · 22/01/2020 07:20

She’s very cute @Girliefriendlikespuppies!
