That’s a totally normal urge Life Grin

Not yet Snuggly, they seemed amused and I’ve never been late before so we shall see. I will buy them some nice biscuits anyway.

I’ll look at that bucket thing in my on my commute, ta

ememem84 · 20/11/2019 08:04

Morning all.

Any ideas on how to keep ds sleeping at night? We switched him to a duvet as he was escaping his bag. Still in a corn but wakes up and cries for either dh or me or one of his animals. Last night it was big nengneng see pic.

Accupuncture today. Must try and do insurance reclaims. And call insurance re therapy.

Love the bucket theory stuff, thanks for sharing. I’ve seen pics about it on FB. We’ve talked about similar in therapy. We did it in an autism related way but it’s applicable to everyone I think.

Also about the particular signals I get that my bucket is too full. Obviously things like finding it harder to sleep but also more subtle things like I’m more sensitive to smells and my “ear worms” (you know when songs get stuck in your head) get more annoying Hmm:o

I need to think about it in terms of the Caglets too actually especially with school approaching for DD1 (nerves are setting in for her now). Although I think sometimes it’s much easier to see these things in our kids than ourselves.

Must get up for the second free screening today. It’s an environment documentary. Yesterday it was Spider-Man into the spiderverse :o

£55 in dunelm. Mostly on things we needed for once. Lamp and lampshade and bulbs for Dd room. A cushion with a polar bear. Christmas hand towels. Mummy bear daddy bear and baby bear mugs. (We needed the lamps...)

ememem84 · 20/11/2019 13:44

Just applied for two things from our local gov.

One to for social security credits for the next two months - when I’m unpaid - so I’d im off sick at any time next year my sick pay won’t be affected

The other is for a grant of £250 for a home energy efficiency audit.

Happierwithouthim · 20/11/2019 14:18

I used Clubcard Boost to convert €12.50 in points to €50 for Milanos, think I might take dc this weekend.

I also must decide on what vouchers to get from my shop and scan too this year. I'll have €110 in vouchers by start of December.

I'll get €19 from Dunnes Stores but I usually get an item of clothing for myself from there as a reward for doing my grocery shopping every week Grin

I saw towels made from recycled plastic bottles in a local supermarket at good prices yesterday. Think I'll be getting them for my next house. Bath Sheet is €12 to give an idea of cost.

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 20/11/2019 16:47

Em I think toddlers go through phases waking up, is he still in a cot? I think dd slept better once she was in her normal bed.

Oops sea did the nursery try and ring your dm or dh? Can understand your frustration with dh, you have a lot to juggle/ and manage.

I've not had a bad day, have been doing training. Bought lunch which was not frugal at £5.

Got a few days off now which is nice, it's my bday tomorrow, can't believe it's a year since my party!

Happierwithouthim · 20/11/2019 17:12

Are you sure girlie want to go check your birth cert maybe? Grin it really doesn't feel like a year ago!

ChristmasSeacow · 20/11/2019 17:54

Definitely not a year ago Girlie Shock

The nursery did try to call DH but he was on the tube, so no signal. I think they do have mum’s details but I’ll check for next time!

Good day at work, my business case that I’ve spent so many late nights on got its final approval this afternoon, £4.5m investment. So my nice new project can start now! I am heading home on time to celebrate. Bathroom is also... finished, woo hoo!

On a whim I’ve signed up with a friend for a £30 wreath-making evening next week. Looking forward to that. Also put a stop to the grazing in chocolate from today and feel much better for doing something positive.

I’m meant to be out at drinks tonight with the class mums and dads. Not sure I’ve much energy for it but it’s very close to home so I might see how I feel once I’ve done DD’s bed time. I’ve missed her stories for the last 2 nights so I promised her I’d do them tonight and I’m looking forward to it

Happierwithouthim · 20/11/2019 18:50

€8 on another wash
€96.11 at Dunnes stores €4.50 to be reimbursed at work. Good stock up & a primarily healthy shop
€1 on a purple snack to get change for washing machine

Not they've got these fabulous cheese squares on special offer 6 in a box for 75c says they're Austrian. So creamy 68 cals & fab with both sweet and savoury

Happierwithouthim · 20/11/2019 18:55

€20 on 58kg wood pellets also

ememem84 · 20/11/2019 20:12

girlie 😳😫 he’s still in his cot but it’s at its lowest. I’m reluctant to take a side off as just don’t trust him not to get out and wander.

I’m hoping maybe he’ll sleep better tonight. He had a sleep at nursery seems to be the days he doesn’t nap at all are the days we have the worst nights.

He’s gone off to sleep (about half hour ago) but later than he usually would. So fingers crossed.

Picked dh and Ds up after work/nursery. Had to get dh to drive home as am tired and felt a bit floopy - probably from the increased meds.

Unescorted · 20/11/2019 20:29

Evening - sorry fell off the thread again. We were out of internet for over a week ( I felt as if I was in a sensory deprivation tank) and then things got crappy and I wished I was in a sensory deprivation tank. Things are now less crappy but busy.

Sum total of my time away - Ddad in Chemo, D Mum broken knee via unable to eat or drink for 4 days (unexplained), My eye is well - discharge YaY, Dd has unconditional offer from Leeds, interview for Oxford, There are not enough jobs in our restructure be/c they over recruited in phase 1, Ds & dh have done a really successful talking tour.

North happy belated birthday

MyName I am the official thread breaker & I will fight you for the honour.
Sea do you want me to send the boys around to have a word with the dance teacher?
wolf they can go to your not so DH when they have finished with sea's predicament.
Em Mental health needs talking about - thank you for doing so here. And Lap too.

lifelongfrugaleer · 20/11/2019 20:51

They do say sleep creates sleep, or some such. Maybe he is over tired.

Hey unescorted. Some good there but lots of shite. Big hugs. I'm sure I have an alibi for the boys. They were Defo with me the whole time. I never saw a thing, honest

Happierwithouthim · 09/12/2019 08:58
