laputa what a lovely pudding! I have serious envy.
I’m in bed wearing a hoodie, socks and thick sweat pants 😂 determined to get an early night. I haven’t heard from the hospital yet, hoping I will hear before the end of this week as they’re supposed to see me within two weeks of the GP appointment which was last Friday.
Cycled into work and home again today - it is definitely good exercise even at my snails pace, I am wrecked! Plus it saves £3.90 bus fares.
DP went off piste on the meal plan and made pasta with leeks, broccoli, courgettes and bacon in a creamy sauce that he made himself out of creme Fraiche, it was delicious and just what I needed! all the other meals will keep an extra day so no harm done there either.
I’m staying at work later tomorrow to see a student in a play, hoping to persuade DP to join me so that he can drive me home after Grin

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 13/11/2019 22:00

Haha that's the kind of vegan I am em 🤣

Hope you feel better soon north

Blimey that's a lot lap quite grateful for my cup Bs now!!

We've binge watched Anne of Green gables this evening on Netflix, not sure what I was expecting but it's really good!! Tempted to read the book now.

Popped to town this afternoon, bought mostly bits for Christmas and a few bits for the dog. Also got a new key cut as going to start using a dog walker occasionally so needed one for her. Total spent approx £50.

Been very hormonal today, cried twice for no reason - AF must be due!!

WreckTangled · 14/11/2019 07:24

Plan they will phone you probably the day before they can after you an appointment. It's all quite short notice usually. Hope you had a good sleep.

Em nothing wrong with the odd treat who says you have to be vegan 100% of the time? 95% is good enough Grin

North hope you feel better

John Lewis Christmas ad is out. It's quite sweet. Hopefully start feeling festive soon. I'm going Christmas shopping tomorrow hoping to get the stockings sorted. They always end up costing so much! I'll be in primark, tiger and typo. Maybe the pound shop too.

SnugglySnerd · 14/11/2019 08:15

Pudding looks amazing Lap!

Lots of jobs planned for today. Probably a bit optimistic with the dts to "help" Grin

I need a new mascara, mine is almost completely run out. I have a £5 Boots gift card that I can't find. I am refusing to buy it until I find the card so I'm going to have a good look today.

Happierwithouthim · 14/11/2019 08:27

Two gorgeous food pics in a row guys Envy
girlie I didn't even realise you were vegan, I knew you were teetotal alright.

lap serious spends but like our feet we have to look after them. My bras have gotten loose so I'm due some new ones too, got them from m&s who have 20% off womenswear at the moment so I might just order online because I think they've gotten loose from washing rather than change in size.

Dunnes yesterday €122.26, got for €100.26 using vouchers, and left one voucher at till for someone else to use. I'd like to keep to €100 mark if I can.

Got all the last bit of paperwork for sale of house sent off, so hopefully that'll move forward now too.

Happierwithouthim · 14/11/2019 08:30

Oh snuggly you just reminded me of another expected spend
Collected stuff for work at argos a few weeks ago & there was a free €10 giftcard, I'm going to get this wreath for €5. This year I will use our decorations but next year I'll be making a change to my decorations Grin

Friendly frugaleers as the leaves fall our bank balances will rise, hopefully!
ememem84 · 14/11/2019 09:28

Christmas shopping today. Aiming to get things for my nephews so I can pack it all up and send out to nz next week.

Happierwithouthim · 14/11/2019 10:44

Lingerie doesn't qualify for the 20% off so I'm not going to buy today, they seem to have lots of codes at the moment so I'll wait. It would get me the ivy skinny's for €22 that everyone raves about Grin what to do Hmm

Plancina · 14/11/2019 12:26

I got some of those skinnies in my usual size and they literally wouldn’t go up over my thighs! I have put on a little weight but all my clothes still fit me, I think they must come up small and that plus weight gain is not a good combo. Anyway I decided to return them and re buy when I can fit into them, a good incentive to cut out the crap! Not helpful that my very lovely students keep bringing me chocolate!!!

Happierwithouthim · 14/11/2019 16:11

I read that they were true to size, maybe I'm better off going instore so.

€25 on 3 week polish, going to plan for 4 weeks & then get Christmas nails done

Plancina · 14/11/2019 17:19

happy don’t say that Grin I’ll have to get on the scale!

Happierwithouthim · 14/11/2019 18:14
Grin
SnugglySnerd · 14/11/2019 19:39

What a frustrating day. I haven't achieved half of what I'd planned. Got 2 big jobs done though so not a complete write off.

I did manage one frugal thing. I had 6 very ripe bananas so I used 2 to make a banana and walnut loaf and chopped up and froze the other 2 for future banana loaves.

ChristmasSeacow · 14/11/2019 21:56

Good job you’re not a maths teacher Snuggly 😂

Plancina my clothes fit but defo are getting a bit tighter and not draping so well. I need to get it in hand now!

Bathroom demolition has happened today and they have got to the root of the leaks. They have started reboarding it already. Hoping it will be finished by the middle of next week. The guys seem very hardworking and are clean and unobtrusive - very happy so far.

Cafe with DD and a few mins etc today - £6. And a top up shop for £15. Was good to get out of the house for a bit and keep out of the way.

ememem84 · 15/11/2019 02:13

Awake with dd. No idea why. 4 month regression maybe? Ds never did this. She’s been crying in her sleep. Not cool Dd. Not cool.

I’ve no idea what’s wrong. Dummy is in and staying there (although that’s a first...), her room isn’t too hot or cold. I’ve propped cot up on its blocks and plugged in the calpol menthol diffuser thing in case it’s her cold.

Ds will be awake soon. He’s been crying in his sleep too off and on tonight.

😴😫

Luckily catface is here.

ChristmasSeacow · 15/11/2019 03:37

Awake and worrying about DS (something to do with a school club where I’ve just learned he’s not being properly supervised or included Angry).

Anyway, sorry you’re awake too Em. I guess it might be the 4m regression - both of mine did that. But neither were good sleepers anyway, till nearly the 1yr mark (and only then with the aid of proper sleep training). So I guess my expectations of babies’ sleep isn’t very high anyway Confused. Hope fully it’s a one off.

I wish I could sleep, my mind is racing now but I’m going to be knackered tomorrow.

Happierwithouthim · 15/11/2019 05:21

My dog woke me barking about 45 mins ago & then my sis messaged from Oz, I'm going to be tired today Sad

Yesterday was NSD

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/11/2019 06:28

I've shit loads on at work and stresses. My mind is all over the place too.

Wolfcub · 15/11/2019 06:49

Morning all. Sorry to hear about all the sleepless nights.

Haircut this morning.
Work this afternoon- so much for it being my day off (again)
Trip to the police property stores in between to collect some of my things taken when h was arrested.

So a fun day overall Hmm

SnugglySnerd · 15/11/2019 07:21

I see what you mean sea Grin

Sorry to hear about sleepless nights. I feel your pain. Dd2 body-slammed me in the middle of the night and then went to sleep cuddling my head. Uncomfortable.

Just remembered it's Blackpool Strictly tomorrow. Yay!

Happierwithouthim · 15/11/2019 08:04

Wow wolf they kept your stuff a long long time.

I got my proofs from dc Christmas photo session this morning and I love them Grin last year I found it hard to pick 5, but this year it'll be easier because some are just more lovely than others!

My aunt mentioned during the year about only having a photo of ds and dd together when ds was a baby so that's her present sorted out Grin

LivingInLaputa · 15/11/2019 08:21

Oh no sea what’s happened?

Wolf ugh what a day :( that’s a long time they’ve had your stuff

DH started new meds, he’s now on a morphine based one Hmm hopefully it works. Also he’s been diagnosed with carpal tunnel - sort of feels like a good thing though as at least that’s one thing that surgery could help. He’s got splints at night for twelve weeks first.

We’ve not really watched strictly this year (or bake off!) but I might make everyone gather for Blackpool.

ememem84 · 15/11/2019 08:32

I gave Dd a bottle at 4am. She had a few sips and then went back to sleep. I haven’t slept. Ds woke up at 6. Dh our the house at 730. It’s goong to be a long day.

I did ask dh last night if he could take the day given that I’ve had no sleep since Wednesday night. But he can’t.

I feel a bit guilty now that I asked him to take the day. But I’m glad I asked for help. Even though he can’t.

northender · 15/11/2019 08:37

I can see why you would be worrying seacow, hope you can get something done about it.
Em hope dd went back to sleep
life sounds like you've got a lot going on at the moment
wolf that's rubbish, having to work on a day off
snuggly what happened to the other two bananas? Grin

Feeling slightly better today for my birthday, but it has been a rough few days, my ribs hurt from coughing so much. No work today so taking it easy this morning then meeting ds for lunch in town. Tonight is cricket presentation evening & I'm social secretary so heavily involved in organising it. Not my ideal birthday treat, but I've organised outside catering so I don't have to cook!

ChristmasSeacow · 15/11/2019 09:43

Happy birthday North, glad you feel a bit better today. And that you don’t have to cater to the cricketing masses.

Lap DS’s class teacher told me yesterday that she happened to be passing the room where the after school dance club is held last Friday and found DS pinging around outside on his own. Unsupervised. Dance teacher (it’s an outside company, not run by the school) said he doesn’t do what she says and won’t join in, so not her fault (or words to that effect). Class teacher tore her off a strip - and I believe her as she is really quite scary! - and told her she will be checking to make sure it doesn’t happen again. He’s actually
Really compliant and obedient for all the teachers, Ta etc at school so I don’t think they are trying very hard. They just don’t want him there. I also noted last week that they let him (well, all the kids) just run out without making sure their adult was there to collect them. I’d already mentioned this to the deputy head as DS wouldn’t go back or tell an adult if he couldn’t find me, he’d just have a meltdown and might run off.

Thing is it’s made me really sad and a little
bit angry. The girl who was taking the class this time last year when he started it really got him included - sometimes he just span around But a lot of the time he joined in and she used to give me little updates about what he’d done when she handed him over. And he made noticeable progress over the term with following instructions etc and talked about dance club outside school. Sadly she’s not here any longer and he no Longer talks about it as I don’t think it’s hitting the mark for him. I don’t know if there’s much point in him continuing... that said, it’s part of his routine and he’d be upset to stop now. And it’s sad because there aren’t many extracurricular activities that are accessible for him and this started so well. Sad. I will discuss with the Senco.

Wfh today and the guys are still working on the bathroom - now waiting for the tile delivery. I might have to go out and sit in a cafe for a couple of hours as the house is freezing with the doors being open so much as they go in and out!

Friday, yay!
