Hi all.
madden hope you are feeling better.
em George goes up to a G cup in some of their bras.

So today I had keyhole surgery to remove my cyst, and I'm pleased to say that they completely removed it and no sign of endometriosis.
I'm home, but just very drowsy and feel really hangover.

Hope everyone is ok x

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/10/2019 20:08

Pleased it went well curvy.

I'm trying to spend money and failing.
M&s code won't work. Matalan and magazine subscription don't have what I want in

Wahooo. I bought one bra £41. Ffuuuuck. But I am a 34E.

So I can now go looking for new bras. I had a look in next and they had nothing in my size. Didn’t make it to George.

lifelongfrugaleer · 15/10/2019 21:01

I pay about that for bras em . It's a nightmare but think price per wear.

£160 on m&s with £32 refund for the 20% voucher. DH needs suits again for work.

Eat Well for Less Klaxon 8pm tomorrow

Girliefriendlikescake · 15/10/2019 21:22

Glad it went okay curvy and hope you get a good kip tonight.

I've had a busy day off today, got a fair bit done I think. Puppy has been annoying tonight and been completely hyper and then wee'd in the hallway 🙄

Sold a juicer £15 in the pot.

£17 on a photo calendar and a photo mug for Christmas gifts.

£5 ish on top up shop, milk, bread and bananas mostly.

Puppy now passed out next to me!

northender · 15/10/2019 23:40

I pay that sort of price for bras too Em it makes such a difference. Just remember that your measured size doesn't always translate into bras that fit from other shops.
I did spend today, £3 on some naice fruit juice for a breakfast at work tomorrow (colleague's 50th) I'm also taking in crumpets from the freezer & damson jam. Hopefully no other spends tomorrow

LivingInLaputa · 16/10/2019 01:58

Yep same with the bra price. Scaffolding is pricey! I was a 38HH or something last time I got measured. I need a swimsuit too currently, with a proper bra inbuilt. I refuse to wear one without!

Glad the op was ok curvy hope you’re not too knackered now.

Happierwithouthim · 16/10/2019 05:43

Glad everything went well curvy
Ds joined me at 4am I'm awake since, he's sound but has a stuffy nose so is breathing very heavily.
Need to be at work for 7am too
Yesterday was nsd
I've resisted the sales, I want stuff but I also don't want to spend money so asking myself do I need it?
Df gave me his vat returns to do, I can have proceeds, did a rough tot last night over €1,000 Grin

First house I put an offer on has come on the market again, it tugs my heart more than the one last week even though it's more old fashioned.

Can I bore ye with some details? Skip if not interested
House 1
Back door into small hallway & kitchen would be main access to house.
4 bed with l shaped extension & double conservatory- utility, shower & toilet & long kitchen, living room with 5kw stove & fitted units on two walls(need to pass through this room to access rest of house, playroom/den as children get older, enter hallway to right 4 bed & bathroom with electric shower over bath, small hot press in bathroom, one bedroom has slide robe, rest have no furniture(I've got 5 freestanding wardrobes to take with me though) cozy carpeted sitting room with open fire & double doors leading into conservatory & front porch is also a conservatory style. Garage & open shed also, yard is concreted, large lawn to rear & two separate lawns to front & two entrances. It would be possible to install driveway around both sides of house, Know neighbour to one side, needs a couple of windows, need to buy a fridge, Felt at home there.

House 2
4 bed bungalow, shared driveway to rear, gravel driveway to front, small ornamental lawn to front, medium size lawn to rear, paved area & concrete at back of house, steel shed & open shed. Very dark hallway can't see without turning on light, small sitting room with fitted units & open fire, dining room with open fire, finished kitchen with integrated fridge, large hot press in hallway, bathroom is very narrow, might be possible to install very small shower cubicle in space vanity unit is currently housed, three of the bedrooms have fitted wardrobes, one has small ensuite, last bedroom is larger with no fitted wardrobes. Didn't get same sense of home.

Both are in very good locations for me for work/school/DC's dad house 2 is 1 mile from last bus pick up point for dcs school house 1 au pair would need to drive them. House 1 cul de sac, not possible to walk on main road here as too dangerous, could repetitively walk cul de sac with dog if stuck for time, house 2 quiet country road(lots of options for running/walking routes)

House 2 currently has tenants, house 1 doesn't, would love if could rent house I'd be buying to have only one move.

Dm is in the area week after next, maybe I'll arrange viewings for both houses with her.

Sorry for epic post helps my mind Grin
Up to make plastic free lunches for dc for climate change week Grin

Spends today need to buy a part for boiler approx €10 ex h will install, he's being the most reasonable he's been since we were first in a relationship at the moment, thank god I see through him.
Retest for au pairs car €28, get bill from garage too

Tomo need to pay €85 + €1 balance on property tax, buyers solicitor has been on too, I should have last of my paperwork tomo & ex h will have his Friday so it'll be all systems go then.

Wolfcub · 16/10/2019 06:27

House 1. Reading your description you don’t like house two enough to buy it

maddenlightfoot · 16/10/2019 07:01

The EWFL klaxon has cheered my day already! I slept like a log last night after horrendous sleep the night before. I'm still a bit headachey and have had awful bloodshot eyes the past two mornings (whites completely red). I think it's just a sign of a very long term and need of a good rest!

Happier the way you described House 2 s couple of days back was much more positive. House 1 sounds like it's won your heart so I do hope you've success with it but I also think that you may feel differently about House 2 if House 1 wasn't there tempting you away 😂. Real positives that stood out to me about House 2 were that the gardens sound more manageable and it's location in lovely quiet country roads. But the thing that stood out the most... what on earth is a hot press??? !!!

maddenlightfoot · 16/10/2019 07:08

I just checked bank balance - Thomas Cook flights have been refunded 🙌🙌🙌

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/10/2019 07:14

I think hot press is an airing cupboard type thing.
House 1 you speak more warmly about and it seems to give your more space?

What are the differences in asking price, council tax/rates, cost of bills/upkeep.
Will you always have aupair to drive the DC? If not could you drop them at school for the next 12 years.
What about senior school?
You say you know one neighbour. Weekday is the distance to your friends and family?

Sorry for questions but they spring out at me.

OP posts:
ememem84 · 16/10/2019 07:35

lap H cup?! Holy moly.

I hate how expensive bras are. And that’s not for anything special..just a nude bra. I prefer to buy more expensive basic ones (even though the cost makes me cry!) because I wear them all the time. The more “fun” ones (bright colours patterns) will be cheaper ones.

Today:

Lunch with friend and her tribe of kids
Saddlers to see if I can get DMs bag fixed
Gym

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/10/2019 08:05

Btw don't need to answer here happier if you don't want

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 16/10/2019 09:33

Sorry Madden hot press is airing cupboard, don't have one in my current house. It's not a game changer it's just extra storage & I guess communal storage if that makes sense, for the likes of sheets/towels etc.

Also the bigger garden in house 1 is a plus in some respects because I could safely fence off back section for dog and have a safe place for her to be out by day and put her house there, have hens in a separate part if I wished, not close to her, lawn for dc to play at back of house & ornamental grass or clear away and concrete rest of it. It's more private.

Wolf that's my feeling too, do you go with your head or your heart, what's right right now vs what's right longterm?

Life Asking price house 1 160k will take 155k, house 2 150k, looking for 145 but I think might be able to negotiate a bit more. House 1 needs new septic tank, house 2 needs 1/2 windows. Local Property Tax €315 vs €225 annual charge. Upkeep similar age houses

School - ds will be at this school for 6 more years, if I get to a stage that we don't have au pair, he'll be going to breakfast club/afterschool club. Senior Schools buses for all schools pass end of both roads, walk to end of road house 1, house 2 would be probably bike ride to end of road but maybe passes.

Distance to friends is similar for both, they're 3km apart. House 2 is closer to work, house 1 is closer to old home/village. There's a townland with one pub/church/community hall near house 2 location. Both are similar distance to beaches.

Parents will continue to be 100 miles away.

I go for m&s bras but I'm just 34DD so it's available in a lot of cheaper ranges too

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/10/2019 15:36

I need to look in cheaper shops but at a 30ff I don't hold out much hope.

Do practically nothing significant in it then happier as in works be a deal breaker. Sounds like both houses will work for you now and in the future. If that's the case follow your heart.

Fell into the sea salt shop in the way back from hospital.£30 now know my size better so can raid the sale. Signed up to the loyalty scheme too.
£25 ish parking, lunch treats and stuff at the hospital. All ok can in 3-5 years then possible discharge.

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 16/10/2019 16:22

Thought I'd killed the thread!

Yes I'm leaning towards that too, go with my gut.

Good that all was alright at hospital
€30 - 10 eco friendly firelogs and piece for boiler
No other spends today

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/10/2019 17:04

I'm a great believer in trust your instincts

OP posts:
northender · 16/10/2019 17:43

curvy hope you're doing okay today.
happier it sounds like house 1 is the one at the moment
madden glad you've got the flights refunded. Was that with Nationwide? I've not heard anything yet but that's given me hope.
No spends today.

maddenlightfoot · 16/10/2019 17:52

Happier I was imagining one of those trouser presses you get in hotels but much bigger 😆! The houses both sound good - good to have choice and in that case go with your heart!

North I hadn't heard a word from Nationwide, no confirmation email, no updates even after I phoned to check (different department, couldn't tell me anything etc), the money literally just appeared! Fingers crossed yours is on its way.

I've just ordered HP pjs for the twins. I really want to get my biggest girl the same but alas they're not in stock so may have to get her a different design. Will decide at the weekend. £18.

Happierwithouthim · 16/10/2019 18:05

Thanks everyone Star

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 16/10/2019 18:24

Thank you all for your lovely messages Flowers.

I'm ok, just sore and drowsy, the meds are pretty strong and I'm sleeping when I can.

happier, the first house, it sounds like you really like it.
life, hope you are ok? Was it you who had to go to hospital? Did I miss something? Obviously you don't have to answer, hope everything is ok x

I'm a G cup, and bras can be very expensive. I really rate triumph bras, even though the prices are from about £40, but the quality is great, they pull my boobs in all the right directions and give me a waist.
Then their shop in Westfield closed 🙁

I was in Tesco a couple of months ago and bought 4 bras in 2 different designs. All good for a bit, then I lost a bit more weight and now I have to wear them on the tightest hook and have the straps as tight as they will go, one bra, the lace gathers and looks silly if I wear tighter clothes, so I only wear that one with a baggy jumper.
I think I need to find another triumph shop!

ibuiltahomeforyou · 16/10/2019 18:51

£5.40 bacon sarnie and coffee in Tesco
60p paracetamol for period pain, necessitating above bacon 😳
£10 oyster top up

maddenlightfoot · 16/10/2019 19:24

Gosh curvy sorry I missed that - surgery 😢 - glad you're feeling a bit more recovered. Take care of yourself xx
