So tonight I'm gonna catch up on the thread!

Today I ate a big frog 🐸 & transferred credit card debt of €962.26 (interest rate 16.75%) to 6 months interest @ 9.99%. This means I've one cc debt now of approx €4K clear by August Shock in theory I can do this so I'm going to put it into practice, if I'm not fully there I'm going to borrow from my parents to be cc debt free for then.

Happierwithouthim · 01/03/2019 18:15

€6.20 on lunch at deli
€17 butchers

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/03/2019 18:53

£47 Aldi, £7 Iceland. Small shop week. £212 glasses, £18 b&m. Had to get some new doggie stuff as mil got a rescue last week and it's first visit to ours.

What car did you get jam. PM if you would rather not say.

Sometimes meds are required. Sorry about wasted appointment though.
Poor dd wreck.

Go on happier you can smash it.

ememem84 · 01/03/2019 19:04

Ooooh pepper sauce is my fave. I should really learn to make it!

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/03/2019 20:08

Happierwithouthim · 01/03/2019 21:26

Girliefriendlikescake · 01/03/2019 21:58

Work was hell today 🥴

That food looks amazing happier I want some!!

Nsd.

Cagliostro · 01/03/2019 22:18

Aah sorry girlie

When did your name change to cake instead of flowers
Did I miss you starting the new job? Or are you still working your old one?

I’m easily confused.

BTW anyone who likes Method cleaning products they are currently on sale in my local robert dyas, not sure if that’s a nationwide thing. They are awesome though, I was disappointed I don’t currently need any refills!

ChristmasSeacow · 01/03/2019 23:06

Method rhubarb kitchen cleaner is the mutt’s nuts Cag, though sadly I’ve no idea where my nearest Robert Dyas is! Not near enough.

Jam I’m also curious about the car Grin. DM is fine but I think she was counting down the hours for the last few days because dd was really miserable for a couple of days with teething and she wore DM out! I don’t think she’d want to do such a long stint again, but then I wouldn’t leave them for a week again. I’m hoping DH and I can manage a weekend away every year or so because our lives are quite restricted with ds and it really did us good to be able to just ‘do stuff’ that we could never do with him - sightseeing or whatever. We can’t really do much as a family even and we were mad for travelling before kids. Hey ho.

Yes Girlie, when did the cake name happen? I missed that too!

ChristmasSeacow · 01/03/2019 23:09

Oh and in further spends I've just ordered the Marie Kondo book about tidying. I am gradually making progress with decluttering but thought that book might be a tad too crazy for me. However, after watching a bit of the Netflix programme with MK I am hooked...

ememem84 · 01/03/2019 23:23

Ooh I watched some of the Marie mondo show today. Love.

Friends just left. Such a lovely evening im not even tired. But it’s waaaaay last my bedtime. Ds stayed up until 830 playing with us so we ate late. But never mind.

Food was awesome.

Shredded chilli beef
Sweet m sour king prawn balls
Veggie chow mien
Kung po chicken
Egg fried rice
Singapore noodles
Prawn crackers.

Le yummm

I also had a lovely glass of red wine. Yummm.

Happierwithouthim · 01/03/2019 23:59

I didn't think it was best pic girlie but it was delicious & ready in 15 mins utilising actifry & george foreman

Christmas I need to reread Marie Kondo book I do have it. But I think I've got the ethos in my brain & next house will be smaller & have less clutter. There's definitely less been added to house since H left so that's a bonus.

Food sounds lush em

I've never used method cleaning products.

WreckTangled · 02/03/2019 07:00

Food shopping this morning. I didn't get home until 12:30 last night so a really late night for me! Will need a nap later.

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/03/2019 07:16

I'm a recent convert to method grapefruit spray.
It's often got £1 of in Sainsbury's.

Usual Saturday spends here. Footy and pony. And start of the month tutor £55

Cagliostro · 02/03/2019 07:21

I loved the book, it is a bit bonkers really but it genuinely changed my attitude to stuff. I have never managed to actually use the method properly (although we did the all in one hit method for books when I was pregnant, and clothes are easy to do that with because none of us have many) but I am now so much more able to let go of things, even stuff I once thought I absolutely must keep because of sentimentality. I’ve enjoyed the tv show, but I’m not sure it covers the emotional side as well as the book.

Taking DD to get her ears pierced today! It’s the last part of her Christmas present which we’d not got round to sorting, and my friend is going to a particular person anyway so suggested we join her in the car. Another friend is coming too. Road trip! :o I’m also going to ask whether she could repierce mine, as they closed years ago (two in each ear) but not getting it done yet, can’t afford it and also not sure it’s the best plan while baby is so grabby.

Wolfcub · 02/03/2019 07:33

Pilates and nails today. Should be 27 all together

Ocado shop coming later. That’s £204 but a major stock up on toiletries and cleaning stuff while they are on offer

Method Shower spray for me, it’s great

Just a shout out to Quite, Fluffy and Laska if you are reading we all miss you and we hope you are all ok

I have a new thing!! If anyone likes doing little crafty projects that are quick and easy (dd3 helped/did as much as me)... put "diamond painting" into Amazon or ebay. They are pennies, and everything you need comes in the kit. If you want more than one person to do it, buy a couple of extra pen tools (about £2). You need a "light pad" who knew these were a thing, A4 size was £13. But so cool, and so easy.

Will attach pic, but dd3 and I did this last night.

So, a few spends on Amazon (about £30 total), but we had a night of five of us (plus cat) all in the living room together, chatting and playing. Unheard of and kinda lovely. Dd2 was at my mums but she will love it too. Ds was keen to try it, but it was a bit pink! He is waiting for his shark picture to come from China.

Boring holidays solved.

Today is shopping, painting and gardening. It is time to start some seeds.

Girliefriendlikescake · 02/03/2019 09:40

That looks brilliant lonely might have a look for that later on amazon.

You lot are unobservant i changed my name ages ago 😂 think there was some security breach or something.

Good luck with the ear piercing cag my dd is too scared of needles to get it done!

I'm still in bed, also had a late night as was watching crap on the telly (most shocking celebrity moments 2018 🤪) I gave up at midnight!

Today dd has riding this morning and then a friend over this afternoon. I might pick up some grass seed as my lawn is looking very patchy.

ememem84 · 02/03/2019 09:48

Bil has arrived!!! Well. His flight has landed.

Dh and ds are walking over to fils. I’m driving over with all my riding gear and ds’ bag etc. So I can leave to go to the stables at 1130.

I love Bil. He’s so chill and just lovely. It’s a shame he’s left sil and the kiddies (2 under 2) behind as we’re dying to meet our nephews but to come all this way from nz for a week for a wedding is a big trip. sil also deserves a medal for “letting” him come and staying home alone with a 3 month old and a 21 month old

Cagliostro · 02/03/2019 11:05

Oops girlie it did feel familiar but also I just think of you as girlie and tend to ignore the latter part of anyone’s names :o Blush

Really need to cut DH’s hair today. Did DS’ yesterday but his style is much more forgiving of any unevenness. But TBH we can’t afford to pay anyone for it.

I’ve bitten the enormous bullet and officially opened for tuition business again. I’m freaking out! My anxiety is so much worse since having Rowan. But I had a few people ask anyway and I really should make the most of it while DH is around to look after her.
