I hope everyone is all right and recovering from colds/illnesses. My ds has started sleeping a bit better - no more shouting 'No!' over and over in the night - but he is still waking up earlier than usual and down on sleep generally. I'm feeling a bit less of a zombie, too, by going to bed when he did for the past 3 nights!

NSD yesterday and hopefully again today. Dahl and rice planned for dinner (currently ds's favourite). Payday tomorrow, woohoo!

Girliefriendlikescake · 27/02/2019 12:12

Busy morning here have done a spring clean and washed bedding, sofa blankets, the kitchen floor, hoovered and a general tidy up. Looks much better now. It's still glorious sunshine here which feels a bit odd for February but I'm not complaining 😎

Anyone watching Stranger Things on Netflix? Am trying to work out if it's suitable for dd?

ememem84 · 27/02/2019 12:47

girlie how olds dd?

I found it a bit scary if I’m honest....

Just been for a bra measuring. 34E and £148 on bras. Ffs.

Ggreengrass1 · 27/02/2019 13:55

Girliefriendlikescake · 27/02/2019 14:46

She's 13yo em I watched the first one Ystd which was fine but if it gets scarier dd probably won't cope neither will I

Just back from aldi £69 lighter at least £15 of that was non food stuff and am hoping the food will last two weeks.

Meal plan:
Today- jacket potato, tuna, cheese and salad
Tomorrow-Turkey breast/ veggie sausage with veg and new potatoes.
Friday- pizza and salad.
Saturday-Salmon in pastry with veg
Sunday - mini roast
Monday - pesto pasta and salad

That's as far ahead as I can think 😁

ememem84 · 27/02/2019 15:09

Oh 13 she’ll be fine! Maybe. Haha. It is good. So maybe let her watch.

Cagliostro · 27/02/2019 16:50

I’m totally putting off getting new bras. Argh.

Frugal win, tenner in a charity shop :o the wheely thing that is, not the baby. DD1 attached the strap as Rowan is actually a bit too small to reach the floor and scoot herself along yet :o

She’s now having a full on tantrum because she’s had to come inside. Toddlers 🤦‍♀️🙄

WreckTangled · 27/02/2019 17:38

That's a bargain cag

Wasn't a nsd in the end. £60 for three of us to go on an alpaca walk Grin friend owes me £30. It's our birthday gift to our other friend. Can't wait!

SneakyGremlins · 27/02/2019 17:49

I feel so ill Sad

ememem84 · 27/02/2019 18:34

cag so cute!!!! And great bargain.

My toddler is tantrumming because he is drawing in my naice moleskine notebook which was given by a bank to me (bnp paribas branded so a freebee) and I’m letting him use my favourite colouring pencils. 🙄 were also watching in the fucking night garden.

S’up sneaky?

SneakyGremlins · 27/02/2019 18:37

I've had a runny nose and streaming eyes for a few days now and I've been taking double my daily antihistamine dose and no help Sad

Hope the immunosuppressants aren't stopping them from working Sad

SnugglySnerd · 27/02/2019 19:22

Bargain, Cag!

Hope you feel better soon, Sneaky

I am so tired today. About to start marking...

Ggreengrass1 · 27/02/2019 20:05

Hope you feel better soon sneaky
Great bargain cag
snuggly hope the marking doesn't take too long and you can have a good sleep.
Going to collect dd1 from her club in my PJs and watch Veep. £1.89 spent today on eggs. Also fantastic news ds2 won pip appeal, and no time limited added. I can hardly believe itSmile

Ggreengrass1 · 27/02/2019 20:06

I won't be getting out of the car, I hope!!

SnugglySnerd · 27/02/2019 20:07

Thanks. The marking is dragging tonight. I want to go to bed. DH bought me a cake though so that's good.

WreckTangled · 27/02/2019 20:19

Ggreen that's great news! Obviously the system shouldn't be so shit to start with but still a massive weight off your mind

Snuggly pleased you have cake I can't imagine how fed up of marking you must get

Sneaky hope you feel better soon.

Dh is at football and I have a bit of a headache so might go to bed.

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/02/2019 20:24

Went to fitness class.
Going to take my breakfast too the train tomorrow in a yoghurt put so I can chuck out when done. To many carbs on the menu.
Gws sneaky.
Cute picture cag and a bargain.
£16 Sainsbury's. Needed tea bags for work amongst other things.

Cagliostro · 27/02/2019 20:45

Phew that is such a relief green I agree not cool that you had to go through the stress of course.

DS’ DLA forms arrived today actually. I am so NOT wanting to fill them in because it will make me sad. But his needs are getting more and more intense, not less as he grows older. Love the kid but man alive.

That’s a great idea using a disposable pot for packaging. Saves lugging it home and better than just chucking it straight away.

Hope the cake makes marking a bit more bearable. I can’t express how much I admire teachers!

We’ve decided to try some washable nappies. We used them a lot with DD1 but they were two piece things and it was such a faff trying to fit the wrap correctly to avoid leaks. But a couple of friends have some all in ones left from their kids so there is no outlay other than the flushable liner bits, and a lidded bucket. We wouldn’t be using them full time but just at home I think, might save a bit of cash anyway.

Must finish ordering Tesco.

Cagliostro · 27/02/2019 21:03

Is it a cold sneaks (no idea why I want to call you sneaks instead of sneaky... it’s a term of endearment like fluffster instead of fluffy... I miss fluffy 😭) or hayfever? Someone on my FB posted how their hay fever is starting already 😱

Oops gotta pay for some Usborne books. I cancelled a couple to reduce the cost. One is for a home ed project (weather)

Girliefriendlikescake · 27/02/2019 21:51

I really miss fluffy as well 😰 I really hope she decides to come back.

Hope you feel better soon sneaky

Thought dd had settled with some friends but had tears tonight as she found out one of the friends is having a party and hasn't invited her 😪 gutted for her. I don't understand where she is going wrong with her peers, I wish she could find that one good mate who treats her well.

LonelyOversharer · 27/02/2019 22:04

Oh girlie your poor dd. I feel your pain too, my dd3 is struggling massivley to fit in with her peers (that she has been with since nursery) at the moment, with her going up to high school this year it's a massive worry.

I am taking dp's personal debt in hand (cannot/willnot touch the business debt), forcing him to set up standing orders, and have transferred the worst onto 0%. I was paying them each month anyway, so may as well save myself £360 interest.

Other spends £5.40 in the co-op. I needed a paper to line the wormery trays with! And was hungry for snacks after work. My new wormies are happily ensconced in their home now.

And £40 in the amazon on what might be a new hobby (like I need another Hmm), it's called '5d diamond painting' basically colouring by numbers using little plastic faceted pellets. So 2 to get going with (I have one coming from china, but got impatient), a light pad, and some extra tools and boxes.

Will do an hours painting before bed.

Cagliostro · 27/02/2019 22:06

Ooh DSS was telling me his girlfriends mum just got into that. He used to do a similar thing with sequins.

I am ignoring any crafty stuff. I’d like to do Lino printing again though as I loved it in school.

Really must start planning the garden.

Cagliostro · 27/02/2019 22:07

Aaargh girlie poor DD :( kids can be cruel :( it’s so painful being left out.

Unescorted · 27/02/2019 22:20

sneaky that sounds like the cold I have. Really runny nose (two boxes plus a roll of bog roll so far), think you are getting over it and bam! you feel as if you have been runover by a truck. I spent all day in bed today. I have optimistically set my alarm for tomorrow.

PSA - do not commute by train into Manchester because you are guaranteed to get it.

Girlie it is so hard not to wade in on their behalf. Girls are so mean at times. Our dd had similar problems - she got through it and now doesn't even try to fit into friendship groups. She figures that if they like her then they like her. She isn't going to change to appease the group mentality & fit in. Ironically now she doesn't care they flock to be her friend.
