12 quid something in soft play (mostly hot drinks for me!)
8 pound something McDonald's
£12 in The Works on some gifts for a couple of parties DD has coming up.
Really unhealthy day food wise!

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/11/2018 17:00

Nsd.

ememem84 · 24/11/2018 17:08

£12 M&S on some flowers for Dm and some scones. Dh wanted some chill time so I took ds to see dm. We got there (via the post office to pick up a parcel and via boots to get an order) and Dm had made cherry topped white icinged fairy cakes. With raisins. Yum. She’s given us a load to bring home.

Came back and dh started apologising because he hadn’t done anything and he knew I’d be upset. so why didn’t you take the laundry out or wash the lunch stuff up

Have now sorted laundry washed up and shoved ds dinner on. And have come upstairs for a quiet 20 minutes.

Just slammed my leg into the wooden bedframe as didn’t bother turning the light on. 😭 that’s going to bruise like a mother

LonelyOversharer · 24/11/2018 17:38

Ouch em! Your dh is evening out. Two months ago he would have shouted at you first, because he hadn't done any jobs. Dp is currently fast asleep, yet he can't work out why he cannot sleep at night Hmm

girlie hope you are all ready for your party, and that it all goes off really well, enjoy! Wine

Wolfcub · 24/11/2018 17:41

Did not go out for pints 😟 feeling rubbish. On the plus side all I’ve spent today is postage for neice’s present and £12 in Tesco for cold pills and juice and some Christmas lights for the tree I planted yesterday.

Lovemaltesers · 24/11/2018 17:46

£40 smiggle
£7 on a nativity outfit from eBay as figured buying fabric to make it myself would be more expensive
DP spent £90 in Sainsbury's Shockand still not inspired with the microwave food for dinner

Enjoy your party girlie 🎉

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/11/2018 18:10

Thanks for the seed tin links. 2 more present sorted for £22.

Stuck on 9 yr old D's. His list had one thing on : surprises please

Wolfcub · 24/11/2018 20:24

Life, what sort of thing is he in to?

LonelyOversharer · 24/11/2018 20:39

Oh that's both lovely and a smidge unhelpful life dd2's lists are always like that. One year she simply wrote 'a big hug'. I vote for lego. Cannot go wrong with lego? Maybe a lucky dip box? Lots of little things you know he'll like, in a big wrapped box with shredded stuff so he has to pressie dive.

I'm doing that in a A3 sort of sized gift bag for after lunch (instead of after lunch presents) for the dc, but only because I have massivley overbought stocking fillers.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 24/11/2018 20:54

Hope you are having a fantastic party girlie.

We went to a lovely little cafe for lunch called Breakfast, Brunch and lunch, they served the best vegan sausages I've ever had!

Visited the Christmas market and now watching them ice skate.

SnugglySnerd · 25/11/2018 06:02

Em I do all the laundry. Then I can't complain it hasn't been folded properly etc!
Dh irons his own shirts though.
He also does the bins, cleans the bathroom and does all the washing up that won't fit in the dishwasher. I clean the kitchen. We share the rest.

LonelyOversharer · 25/11/2018 07:28

Morning snug you on the early sunday watch!? I hope everyone else is having a super sleep and lie in. I am adjusting to getting up early, on my second coffee already. I am sorting out the bloody living room today. I want to put the decorations up soon (about a week into December) and need the room clear.

If I go out, it will only be to the tip I think!

Lots of snow forecast for next week ~feeling very festive~

lifelongfrugaleer · 25/11/2018 08:04

He's into skate park/scooter. Plays for a footy team but not really into footy as in had the attention span to watch games. Likes Chelsea. No idea why.
Fortniteof course

Going to IKEA and the metro centre today. Will be spendy

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 25/11/2018 08:04

Morning all.
Today we go back home, but first we are going to visit Dean Village, have a walk around the farmers market, take a look around the charity shops and buy some shortbread.

ememem84 · 25/11/2018 08:20

Morning all. Do is on the early shift today. Much to his annoyance. Ds woke up at 530 again. And I nudged dh and told him it was his turn. He humphed.

I’m still in bed. I went back to sleep for a bit. Then they came up to see if I was awake and whether I’d drunk my tea. So will get up in a bit.

Result yesterday. Back in July I did a boots order which included 3for 2 on hair gel stuff for dh. I only got 2 in the box. Dh said not to bother complaining as one was free anyway.

Yesterday when I picked up my order there were 2 parcels. Boots had been having a clear out of the order area and found one that I hadn’t collected in July. The missing hair stuff. So yay.

Am feeling bloated and a bit sick today. Af is due tomorrow though so that’s more than likely why. Also sinusey. But again af and new aligners for my teeth. So could be affecting things. Ds also has a cold I think. So much snottyface!
I’m having a scone and jam for breakfast I think.

northender · 25/11/2018 08:45

Girlie hope you had a fantastic party & managed to enjoy it properly yourself.
Em that does sound like progress with dh. Excellent.

It was dd's birthday yesterday. I took her & 4 friends bowling & then left dh in charge of them back here for the afternoon while I went to football. Bless him, he put the pizzas in the oven & then went about setting the table nicely for them, for dd to come along & say they'd be eating upstairs!! She did realise his efforts and thanked him for what he'd done, then went up to the loft with the food! Dh had very sheltered teenage years & finds it difficult at times to relate to the dc.

Today my parents are coming round for lunch & dd has put in a request for party food and a carrot cake for her birthday cake which should be relatively okay to do (the third year she has asked for this!).

The last couple of weeks have been so spendy, I really need to sit down & update the spreadsheets & budget [hardly dares look].

AutumnLeaves12 · 25/11/2018 08:48

Dh is away and so far I have managed not to burn the house down or similar. Yay!

This morning we ran out of food, but we got dressed (in a civilised manner) and drove to the co-op at 7am in the dark and bought food. So both of us are fed. Result!

Both printers have broken, one has emptied its yellow toner cartridge all over the kitchen sink so the sink is now bright yellow. But I figured out that the yellow binds to sink dirt rather than actual sink, so I think that is fixable. Result again!

Yesterday I cleaned the whole house ready for a playdate that turned out to be in two weeks time, and then ds cried for 10 minutes when it didn't happen. However he then stopped crying, so I think that is going okay too. The house is, after all, very clean.

My dotty friend is getting ever dottier and I think I am going to phone the GP surgery tomorrow and ask their advice as it is really getting weird. Maybe they can phone next of kin or something. Eeep!

Dh comes home in 15 hours. By which time I sincerely hope that the house will still be standing.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 25/11/2018 09:03

Happy Birthday to your dd north
