Thanks for the new thread Quite and congratulations too Flowers

Unescorted · 07/11/2018 13:58

So much for my day of spendyness. I am waiting for a parcel that UPS apparently tried to deliver at 11:48..... Except they didn't and then they suggested that I might want to trek to the depot a mere hours drive away to pick it up or wait in tomorrow for them to try and deliver it to the wrong address again. I can't possibly see why I would want to do either of those options. Good for a nsd though....

Unescorted · 07/11/2018 13:59

Ohhhhh... Congratulations!.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 07/11/2018 14:30

Congrats quite

SnugglySnerd · 07/11/2018 14:40

Thanks Quite. Going to try and keep up now. Congrats on the voucher win.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 07/11/2018 15:07

Wow quite that's amazing! Which competition was it?

I'm waiting for my massage, feeling pretty rubbish today so hoping it will help!

Unescorted · 07/11/2018 15:25

They are going to deliver it this evening.... The not honouring the contract bit put a cracker up their bottoms.

SnugglySnerd · 07/11/2018 16:27

£1 something on a packet of bagels for lunch and some ibuprofen today but that's it.
We're doing much better since extending the mortgage but it's tempted me to spend more. There have been a few impulse buys in the supermarket! Need to get back into good habits or it'll defeat the point of extending the mortgage to have spare cash for emergencies. Having said all that we spent very little over half term. Entertained ourselves with free autumn activities - leaf printing etc.

How did the exam go today autumn?

ememem84 · 07/11/2018 16:28

Wow quite that’s awesome!!!

Went to the bank and sorted life insurance/mortgage insurance stuff. So that’s done. Yay.

Whilst in town I spent: £32 in warehouse on a corduroy skirt (mustard) with a gift voucher.

£35 in jojo maman on 0-3 baby grow and 6-12 hoody for my new nephew who will arrive by 7 December at the latest (that’s sils c section date).

£26 boots on more dummies for ds as his have got lost in the move, a new sippy cup, and a couple of bibs with sleeves.

Also had a look at the Harry Potter make up range. It. Looks. Awesome. But I don’t need it.

All the above were spends on dh’s credit card.

Have just got home from the coop. £82. Mostly on list stuff. Price was bumped up by two baking trays. £25 for the two.

Annoyed as I wanted to get two knives but left my knife stickers at home. Brute running a deal at present where you get a sticker for every £10 you spend. 20 stickers equals a free knife. Or a more expensive knife for a max of £4.50. Now have enough stickers for 2 almost 3 knives. Just need 5 more stickers. Hopefully Dm can get them for me in the week.

SnugglySnerd · 07/11/2018 16:44

Harry Potter make up?? Where? What's it like? Does it come with a spell that makes it apply itself while I get on with something else? I would totally buy that!

Unescorted · 07/11/2018 16:59

I need self applying make up. When I do mine I look as if I am auditioning for The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Not a good look.

SnugglySnerd · 07/11/2018 17:00

Haha! Same here Unescorted! Twice lately I've got distracted by the kids and gone to work with mascara on only one eye Blush

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 07/11/2018 17:09

Ooh can I have some self applying make up too please?
The older I have got the worse I am at applying it!

ememem84 · 07/11/2018 17:29

It’s in boots. It looked awesome.

I’m being more daring with my make up at present. I have so many bright coloured eyeshadows to use. #justbloodywearit

Although like snuggly I did go to work the other day with only one eye lined.... ffs.

Picked Ds up from nursery. He’s had 45 minutes sleep all day. 😪 but for the moment he’s happy enough. Singing in the car while we wait for dh. I’ve also given him a small handful of raisins. Yay.

Unescorted · 07/11/2018 17:35

curvy I can't see my face without glasses....so I have to guestimate where it needs to go.

Em happy days on the sleep ...it was that point both of mine started sleeping through. My life was transformed.

Lovemaltesers · 07/11/2018 18:03

Thanks for the new thread

AutumnLeaves12 · 07/11/2018 18:05

Thanks for the Fred Quite. Smile

I'm just finished rushing around cooking post-exam. Thanks for all the good lucks. That really helped.

The exam went fine I think. I did some bits really nicely. Moon River came out beautifully. Then some bits I cocked up hilariously, including one scale that took five attempts to get right, and one where the clarinet turned unexpectedly into a rock and did nothing.

The singing bit went weirdly well and I produced what sounded to me like a beautiful soprano singing voice that I didn't know I had, and the sight reading went well, which has never happened before.

I totally fried in Daisy Bell, but scrambled to get back on the horse before the end. My third piece I played slowly, because it is hard, and nothing went too badly wrong.

Anyway, there it was. I get to find out how I did in a week and a bit I think, but my piano man said he thought I did okay for a pass. Fingers crossed. Very exciting stuff.

Makes me realise that I'm quite good at science, as I scramble around on the bottom rung of music 35 years after all the usual grade 1-ers.

Ds played his self-written piano composition perfectly and has a byootiful cerfiticate. (he doesn't get it from me)

Wolfcub · 07/11/2018 18:12

Thanks Quite

Justanothermile · 07/11/2018 18:15

Thanks for the new thread quite, and absolutely fantastic news on the competition! Great timing for Christmas.

My mother is 85 girlie. You sound bloody fed up. You've had such a run of shit luck with your health, it's bound to get you down. It's wearing, chronic pain is deeply wearing I found. Hope the massage helps, it used to ease my tense muscles, I used to get tense with the chronic pain.

NSD.

Unescorted · 07/11/2018 18:17

Well done autumn my music exams always sounded like a cat being strangled and any one in the room when I sing requires danger money.

LonelyOversharer · 07/11/2018 18:21

Thanks for the thread quite, I've had a much better day at work today. Prised the window open which helped to keep me awake! I've also said that I don't want any more home-painting until the spring (I needed to be brave to do this!), so from now on I can knit without guilt!

Nsd, and my yarn is here. I am just about to open the bag sack

LonelyOversharer · 07/11/2018 18:28

As always the colours are squint, but I'm really happy with my haul. And two new sets of 2.25mm dpn's. I was down to 3 single needles. Best get knitting then...

Thanks Quite, well done winning a voucher. You’ll be able to get all your Christmas food and drink for that much.

Nsd.
