Wolf well done you being so fair, I'm being told off for some friends die not taking h for everything. It's not who I am & it's not what I want for my DC's father

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/11/2018 07:37

Life

I think you’d like it, they sound very versatile & I’m sure you’d make use of it.

My energy supplier have emailed complaining I’ve cancelled my direct debit. Funny how they can find time to contact me now but couldn’t when I complained.

CurlsandCurves · 23/11/2018 08:13

Oh gawd, do I need an Do I need one that big? It’s 6litres!

CurlsandCurves · 23/11/2018 08:14

What happened to my post?
Should read, do I need an Instapot?

Wolfcub · 23/11/2018 08:16

I agree Happier. I don’t ever want anyone to say I took advantage or did things unfairly. I particularly don’t want a judge to think that as I am the higher earner, ironically my wage increased significantly the day h departed but i was already earning slightly more. And I intend to take the house and it’s negative equity! H has offered it. I intend to hold him to it. I’ve taken all the joint debt and he can have the majority of the house contents. I think that’s fair but I am concerned a judge will not see it that way.

I have a shocking cold and sore throat. Sat next to a poorly colleague in a meeting earlier in the week and have clearly caught their germs. Bleurrgh.

Cleaning day today and will try and make a Christmas cake and plant a Christmas tree in the garden too. Best go and crack on!

Wolfcub · 23/11/2018 08:17

Its not it’s ffs

Lovemaltesers · 23/11/2018 08:30

Love the nc happier

Try a couple of sizes christmas then you can see which is the best fit

Hope cag and wreck and the other missing regulars are all ok xx

I need to try and get out of bed. Have not much in me after yesterday's sickness. But phone needs to be charged and the charger is downstairs 🤦‍♀️

Happierwithouthim · 23/11/2018 08:42

love hate when you're that poorly that a little job that like seems surmountable FlowersBrew

wolf exactly how I see it. I'm also the higher earner.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 23/11/2018 08:53

Great name change happier

I've got so much to do and no motivation to do any of it! ! Can't believe it's the party tomos, it's been one of those things that's been ages away for so long.

Am cooking a large gammon for the first time, any tips anyone?

ChristmasSeacow · 23/11/2018 09:32

Girlie if you haven’t soaked the gammon overnight it’s sometimes worth bringing it to the boil and then discarding the water and starting again with fresh. Makes it less salty (not always necessary as it depends how salty they are to start with but if it’s not one I’ve bought before I always do it just in case).

Wolf would a judge even look at your settlement if you and H have agreed it mutually?

Got a bit of work to do, back later. Other than that this is an oven cleaning /laundry /declutter day. Not very thrilling but highly satisfying.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 23/11/2018 12:16

I think I've burnt it seacow hopefully won't taste as bad as it looks 😂

Upstairs is now clean, about to hang out the second load of washing and then going to pop out for more paper plates and cups!!

ememem84 · 23/11/2018 13:45

£11.50 on a glass of champagne to toast my lovely friend getting British citizenship today. And then £5.80 on sandwich coke and crisps to soak up the booze. 😀

Wolfcub · 23/11/2018 14:03

Cleaning done
Washing done
Christmas cake in oven
Christmas tree planted
Amazon order for Xmas done.
Sainsbury’s £125 for Xmas booze for me and booze presents for others plus new pjs and a pair of leather boots for me which had 14.50 off!

Wolfcub · 23/11/2018 14:08

And £50 theatre tickets. There was a Black Friday sale for Shrek the musical and I had wanted to take ds but couldn’t afford it. Black Friday pretty much halved the cost. Yay

AutumnLeaves12 · 23/11/2018 14:08

ROFL! Wolf I thought you were about to say that you'd put the Christmas lunch on. That would be fantastic.

Btw after your wonderful advice on talking to my forgetful friend I had the best ever conversation that other day.

I met dfriend and was trying really hard to work within her version of reality and not skip a beat if she had forgotten something. But then I tried so hard that I got totally muddled up, and forgot that she'd sent me an email that morning that I had replied to.

So now she thinks I am having memory trouble and is looking sympathetically at me and shaking her head sadly at my total lack of cop-on. How fantastically silly is that?

Happierwithouthim · 23/11/2018 14:16

Is your party at home girlie

Brilliant news on theatre tickets wolf

Happierwithouthim · 23/11/2018 14:17

€4 on lunch
€35 balance on trike ds loves & Santa will bring

NursieBernard · 23/11/2018 14:21

Love the name change Happier

NSD today, there's nothing I need in the Black Friday deals.

Got a refund by emailing the CEO of a company with a complaint after getting nowhere with customer services, thank you Fluffy Smile

Spendy weekend as I'm out for lunch and dinner tomorrow and going to the theatre with DS3 (already paid for)

northender · 23/11/2018 15:05

Happier that is a great name change.
Unfrugally ordered cutlery last night. Over the years we have lost bits and pieces of our cutlery, but particularly a huge number of forks! Anyway, I love the cutlery we have but it's out of production now (Oneida) so I've bought some from an ebay seller who did a good deal on postage and gave 10% discount via an immediate refund on Paypal.
I complained about an uninspiring meal we had on my birthday & have got 4 meal vouchers to try the place again which is a frugal win I think. The meal wasn't a disaster, just not as good as we were expecting.
Got more Christmas presents ordered last night. I like to get my team a small present & none of them are big drinkers so wine is no good. I've decided to go for Seed balls as something a bit different. I gave them to a few people a couple of years ago after they were recommended by a friend and they seemed to go down well.
I'm trying not to look at the Insta pot or Pressure King.....
Do any of you have a waffle maker? Thinking of it as a family present. There is a Breville one which gets good reviews.

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/11/2018 15:22

Well done Nursie. It’d be nice to never have to complain.

£1 squash and mushrooms in sains
£10 petrol sains
£2.80 eggs and pilsner in Lidl
£8.80 on antibiotics for my skin Sad

WheelyCoteClaus · 23/11/2018 15:34

Can I join back in please, I've been lurking and posting now and then.
I went through a split after buying a doer upper house. Would not have not have taken on so much if I knew what was coming. Over a year on still have an unfinished kitchen, no skirting boards or door frames but it's home and all mine. Including all the debt. His timing was kak but hey.

Remaining Debt - 17000 😬 this includes car and house improvement loan🙄 and a CC.

Monthly outgoings - far too high.

This year I have been working extra shifts each month to pay off as much debt as possible and got rid of 7grand😬😬. I didnt think I'd physically manage it, but I'm a year in and gotten used to it, now. Always feel proud and in control straight after an extra shift.

I should've paid more debt off, but I've gotten into the habit of thinking, I'm doing well....and that I'll beable to payoff whatever I spend😳😳 . As a result my CC has been creeping up.

Basically bad habits creeping in. I have redone my budget this week and this time I've been more realistic.

Determined to get that debt down lower and get a grip of the stupid spends.

WheelyCoteClaus · 23/11/2018 15:37

Sorry about the lack of punctuation and grammar😁

ememem84 · 23/11/2018 15:39

north are they a mix of seeds to grow wildflowers and the like?! Such a lovely idea!!!

I’m flagging now. Le tired.

Lovemaltesers · 23/11/2018 15:56

Welcome back wheely. Paying off £7k is a massive achievement Star

I have had a very frugal Black Friday. There's nothing that I need to buy that is on offer.

Finally had some food. Fish fingers cooked in the microwave 😂 Not great to have no oven and little cooking options or food left in the fridge when recovering from sickness. Thankfully our new oven is installed tomorrow and food shopping will be done too

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 23/11/2018 15:57

happier no at a local village hall, I'm having a barn dance, should be fun.

£12 in poundstretchers.

Welcome back wheely sounds like you've done really well.

Have we lost cag ?
