I don't thing those vouchers sound worth it lonely.

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/11/2018 20:12

I used to love living by a supermarket for the mark downs.

I got a half price turkey Christmas Eve once by loitering in the aisle near to closing time. There was no living with me that year.

WereWolfcub · 02/11/2018 20:14

I agree unless you are already qualifying or close to qualifying with your normal weekly shop they are not worth it. That said I wish ocado did saving stamps and boosted them like Morrison’s. There were a couple of tough years where that really helped at Christmas

My friends call me a yellow sticker ninja!

QuiteFabULousDahling · 02/11/2018 20:32

Thats a lot of money for £20 Lonely
Bet with price comparison you could do better as Fluffy says.
I do top ups at our Co op
The Co op gives you 5% and your community 5 % on everything own brand , all year round ,even a pint of milk.
Mine is going to be my Christmas cheese fund .
Did you miss me Jam? Grin

Quite I haven’t but I really want one. I was looking covetously in Lakeland today although their poo biscuit cutter has made me never want to shop there again

QuiteFabULousDahling · 02/11/2018 21:35

Grin Ok might have to google that.

Im sitting here with 2 hot water bottles and the cats blanket and Im still cold.
I dont really like CH that much, its so drying .

ememem84 · 02/11/2018 21:38

Frugal win (I think). I thought first mortgage payment went out yesterday. It didn’t. It doesn’t go out until December. Yay!!!

Ds loves his new books. We went to dparents (his childcare for today although he really supervised them!) and he was happily playing with my dsis’ old weebles. Weeble road and cars. Weeble school. He had apparently been playing for hours with them (zero naps today...) we played and read new books then had dinner (Dm offered and we accepted - chicken korma) then played some more. Got home an hour ago. One very tired completely played out boy in bed.

Dh has finally hooked the tv up. Hooray. But there’s nothing to watch. Booo.

No reason bread in Morrisons, McColl's, other McColl's, or Sainsbury's Sad

SneakyGremlins · 02/11/2018 21:52

Reduced Angry

Back at Morrisons trying again...

SneakyGremlins · 02/11/2018 21:56

I have Quite! Courtesy of a generous MNer.

Best thing ever.

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/11/2018 22:17

I’ve got one too Quite, it was my Christmas present off dh last year. Possibly the best thing he’s bought me. It’s faux fur but the furs not great, it sheds a lot and isn’t as soft as other furry throws I’ve had in the past but that might be to conform with fire regulations?. It was the dreamland one.

I’ve seen them on co-op mobility and groupon recently for around £40 in normal fleece.

If you wash fleece on cold cycles it stays fluffy and soft.

The cats pinched both my hot water bottles and my fleece blanket.

QuiteFabULousDahling · 02/11/2018 22:29

Thanks for the recommendations .
Ive got some JL vouchers so I think I will get one.

The cat can then have his blanket back !

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 02/11/2018 22:30

Morrisons had a heated blanket for £16 the other day, is that cheap? I thought about it but couldn't decide so left it.

Those spend a certain amount for 5 week offers are only good if you would definitely spend that amount, I know I wouldn't so I'm still better off at aldi! !

Have just spent £40 on new school shirts for dd, they will probably all go back as finding her shirts is a nightmare!!

ChristmasSeacow · 03/11/2018 06:25

Argh, it’s my lie-in today and I can’t sleep!

lifelongfrugaleer · 03/11/2018 07:02

I went to Alexander buildings last week and was very restrained.....lakeland headoffice

Sports clubs today and a shlep to Sainsbury's to get what I couldn't get in Aldi.

ememem84 · 03/11/2018 07:14

Riding today £40. Dh is going to b&q
to get things to do his “weekend” jobs.

Everyone (apart from me) is still sleeping.

QuiteFabULousDahling · 03/11/2018 07:31

I woke up at 6.30 , got up to feed cats and chooks and check on my casserole in the slow cooker .
I have thickened the casserole, put on a load of washing and having coffee in peace.
Meeting a friend for lunch today and hoping to get my eyebrows done .

Second half of the meal deal curry for dinner and Strictly tonight .

mammynowanauntyIRL · 03/11/2018 07:39

I woke at 4.30 but went back to sleep again until now.

You sound more you now em

Drove to town yesterday while dd was at horse riding to get ds sized for a bike for his birthday, arrived to discover he'd fallen asleep, tried to wake him gently & it didn't work so just caught up here while he was sleeping.

I've got an eye test this morning so can go then. I've got €15 off €75 spend in Dunnes Stores that loads of people swear by so I'm going to shop there this week & see. Will add up as I go as I find Dunnes Stores expensive. They do have a basics range too so will shop carefully.

Personal spends
Newspaper
Maybe glasses topup, I get their basic frames for free included in my contacts subscription

Dc are going to their dads at lunchtime today & staying until tomo eve & I'm determined to gut my room once & for all and get rid of things in the house that I couldn't usually when they're here Grin playroom is a hell hole, I'll see how I go there Hmm

Good news on ds birthday - shared bouncing castle is now down to €50 each, was meant to be €70 & would have been more if it wasn't shared Grin
