Morning !
Lonely Ive got one of those in the fridge .
I love them .
I had pancakes and fruit .
Pondering my knitting - did you resist the yarn?
Im quite proud of myself as I have been waiting 4 months for the alpaca sale instead of buying full price .

Fluffy they had thermal tights in Lidl - footless Hmm
Not really sure what the point of them is ?
I got the normal ones last year and they were brilliant .
Popped into Sainsburys and got 2 polo neck thermal tops £9 instead of £12 with 25% off plus added sweets to make up to £10.
With 2 petrol shops of £10 I got £10 of points .
Wondering if they have reduced the amount of £10 /£25 points as I dont know anyone who got any this time.
I did get 8 pairs of wool insoles £4
Super toasty !
Please live post the cot debacle em Grin

mammynowanauntyIRL · 28/10/2018 10:18

My df gave me my Christmas money now & it's more than usual so I've enough for the gym membership I wanted for myself, dc & au pair Grin

He also bought me dinner yesterday & will again today.

northender · 28/10/2018 10:26

Morning all. Just had a tidy and sort out of my side of our bedroom. Hoping the message will get through to dh!
Now I have to study, study and more study, with more tidying and sorting in between.
Had a lovely chicken dinner last night. Tonight will be something concocted with the leftovers. Need to meal plan for the week as its a busy one.
Have a good day everyone.

northender · 28/10/2018 10:42

And maybe a bit of quilting! This is how far I've got with my festive scraps Christmas tree skirt

*Em I'm sorry to hear things are a bit confrontational there. I hope it all calms down soon and that you can all work together a bit. Moving house is never easy is it?

We're still having a quiet day. It's pretty good.

WreckTangled · 28/10/2018 10:46

£25 travel insurance. Got mine and DD's separately to dh and ds as we have medical conditions to declare.

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/10/2018 10:59

Nsd.

Quite I have thermal leggings, I find the tights cosier though.

I won £17.50 on swipe and win. Last year I got £40. C’est la vie.

LonelyOversharer · 28/10/2018 11:02

north thats such a good idea! I have quite a lot of christmas fat quarters (with a wee bit used at one corner) in my box. Coming along v well there. It's the right sort of day for quilting...

quite yes/no. I will need another ball of caron aran for my door blanket (I used one almost up before), and am going to treat myself to some new dpn's (2.25mm are my go to for all tiny knits, they get lost/bent/broken), so the alpaca will fall in then. I use all the natural shades for animals, but I already have at least one ball of each colour I use.

Oh, and I definately do not need the denim blue (from the skirt I never made)!!!

QuiteFabULousDahling · 28/10/2018 11:36

They did have thermal leggins Fluffy cant remember how much .
I doubt I would wear them though.
The tights are fab and I have 2 types of Uniqlo thermal under leggings (cant rember what to call them!)
Thin heat tech ones that go under trousers and some super warm ones that are so warm they will only come out if it snows.
They are fabulous, not itchy and come up under my boobs 😂
Not looking forward to the chill this week -need to get my warm hat out.
Lonely we are kindred spirits -I found a box like that in DDs room-all of it was my yarn!

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/10/2018 11:39

Been to Sainsbury's and been that annoying person at the till doing £10 transactions.
Of to a national trust place today then dive club for DS to try.
Body pump done for me.

Also awaiting cot gate update,....

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/10/2018 11:39

Aldi thermal tights come in either next Thursday or Sunday

WereWolfcub · 28/10/2018 11:52

Quite are you a tall person? If so I may need to order some of those tights. Winter train stations are nithering places

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 28/10/2018 12:21

I still haven't found a coat for me or dd! Dds old coat still fits (just about) because I bought it two sizes too big three years ago 😂 might have a look in Go Outdoors this week. I'm tempted by the Rab coats for me but they're £££.

Somehow manhandled the arm chair into my mum's car but now can't get it out!! Will wait for reinforcements later.

Stopped at Pets at Home and spent £12 on stuff for the hamster and dreamies for girl cat who has a fairly serious dreamies habit 🐱

northender · 28/10/2018 12:23

Lonely festive bunting is another good way to use your fabric stash. I've got quite enough though & it was someone on another thread who suggested the tree "skirt". It'll at least look nicer than the bin liner usually covering the base! Still got scraps (mostly strips) so it's going to be cushion covers next...
I'm envious of you, Quite and Seacow and your knitting talents. Maybe when my study is done I'll give it a go.

WereWolfcub · 28/10/2018 12:32

Mmm festive bunting now there’s and idea, I need a completely new approach to Christmas this year, new ornaments etc so bunting might be a good start

OP posts:
WreckTangled · 28/10/2018 12:35

I wish I was craft enough for festive bunting! I've been looking for a nice one everywhere.

Can I have your top tips for Yorkshire's please? Mine are always shit

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/10/2018 12:44

Curvy Would you rather have a bean to cup machine instead of those Costa’s?.

I’m watching ewfl. Sweet potatoes in egg whites. Yum. I’m slimmer than her with none of that sadness on a plate.

I can’t eat quorn after I went to a podiatry conference where one speaker said it was very closely related to toe nail fungus. So closely it was basically refined toe nail fungus. I imagine no one who attended has bought it since.

ememem84 · 28/10/2018 12:46

Smuggy smugface got the cot in the car.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 28/10/2018 12:52

wreck how is ds doing? My tip is to get the oil properly hot before putting the batter in. Mix flour and eggs together and slowly add the milk whisking all the time.

How annoying em 😉

WreckTangled · 28/10/2018 12:53

He's fine thanks girlie covered in a spotty rash so a sure sign it was viral

WereWolfcub · 28/10/2018 12:57

Wreck equal volumes of egg, flour and milk (two eggs is generally half an American cup). Mix together with a fork but don’t beat the shit out of it. Refrigerate in the coldest part of your fridge while you heat the oil in your tin. Removed batter from fridge and mix again with fork before pouring straight into tin. Don’t let the tin be out of the oven for more time than it takes to get the batter in the pan. I pour mine while the tin is still on the oven shelf. Do not open the oven door
