I’m glad to hear your sons ok wreck.
I spent £25 today on food in Aldi. I managed to avoid all the wooden toys (mainly because I preordered a couple of bits off the website).

mammynowanauntyIRL · 26/10/2018 20:06

Yesterday's spends I forgot €7 on eyebrows shape & €4.50 on lunch

Today €35 on a pair of bootcut jeans & a top for funeral I'm attending tomo. Jeans will be my new good wear jeans instead of the ones h shrank in dryer, which were amazing Sad

Cagliostro · 26/10/2018 20:07

I’d be interested to read that article :)

mammynowanauntyIRL · 26/10/2018 20:08

Wreck that's very scary

ememem84 · 26/10/2018 20:17

www.iflscience.com/health-and-medicine/people-with-depression-use-language-differently-heres-how-to-spot-it/

cag here you go. I haven’t read much of it yet.

Cagliostro · 26/10/2018 20:29

Thanks :)

Waiting to portion out my slow cooked chilli. Le yum. No idea if I’ve used enough spices... or too much...

Caglets are enjoying decorating for Halloween :o love having this extra space!

ememem84 · 26/10/2018 21:13

I might get a few small pumpkins tomorrow and pop them in front of the fireplace for decoration.

I may take ds out and get some pine cones and conkers and leaves and put them in the big glass jars too. For autumnal decoration.

ememem84 · 26/10/2018 21:14

Catface is staying behind with dparents tomorrow 🙀😿 Dm thinks it’ll be too easy to lose her tomorrow. So well pick her up on Sunday. We haven’t been apart since I had ds last year. I’ll probably start pining for her.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 26/10/2018 21:45

I'm floating in after a lovely massage, it was for an hour and I've been done top to toe 😁 bargain at £25.

wreck hope your ds perks up soon, when dd was very ill the only symptoms for the first day or two was a very high temperature, has he had the flu spray?

WereWolfcub · 26/10/2018 22:51

£15 pub. I really want a proper night out where I don’t have to worry about picking ds up from somewhere at a fixed time. I was just starting to get an occasional social life back after 11 years and now it feels like I’ve gone backwards

Girlie, glad the massage was good, it’s very tempting I have to say

Em leaving catface sounds like a good idea as you will have lots of opening and closing external doors

Girlie not yet it's not until the end of November. Dh just said his fever has gone down overnight (typical!) which I'm pleased about. A fever never worries me in itself but because I thought it needed checking because it wasn't reducing with meds. Also his hands were freezing and he was delusional Thursday night. I'm pleased he's ok though. Did your dd have no cold/flu symptoms either?

AutumnLeaves12 · 27/10/2018 07:17

That's great that they let you just go straight back if it gets worse. I hope he perks right up for you.

I went to a church last night where they had all LED lights and my eyes are still burning this morning. I only stayed 10 minutes. I will be very glad when the LED technology has been sorted out.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 27/10/2018 07:24

My inherited natural alarm clock woke me at 4.50 alarm set for 5 so it was an easier start to the day. House to myself last night so caught up with emmerdale & had an early night. Filled two water bottles for the journey & had my breakfast before leaving the house at 6am.

Wolf I know your parents help out with childcare during the weekend but perhaps they'd help out one night a month so you could have a social life?

First spend of the day €1.90 on toll.

Wreck glad that your ds is a bit better

ememem84 · 27/10/2018 07:42

Morning all.

Today is the day. Jobs for dh - put Perspex over the landing “gap” (banisters on the landing have a reasonable ds sized gap and then a drop to the hallway...).
Jobs for me - pack ds stuff unpack at other end.

Then make beds, food shop.

Also have to call/text Hermes person who tried to deliver our toaster yesterday but missed us. So must see if I can get it today from her.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 27/10/2018 07:48

Em super exciting day for you all, garden looks fab too btw

mammynowanauntyIRL · 27/10/2018 08:04

€1.60 on newspaper, I'm 30 mins early for meeting my df Grin

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 27/10/2018 08:28

wreck it was so quick with dd, she was fine mon and Tues then spiked a high temperature Tues night but was not too bad wed (off school but playing/eating etc) another high temperature wed night and thus clearly unwell (off food/lethargic ) early hours of fri I called the paramedics as wasn't happy with her breathing, sounded like she was struggling. They said yes she is poorly but doesn't need hospital, she saw her G. P at 11am that day and he prescribed steroids and antibiotics and said maybe it's croup 😐 and at 2pm I called 999 again as she was struggling with her breathing again. I insisted they take her in which they did and just as well as her throat was so swollen when they knocked her out to have a look they couldn't get a camera down 😮 She then spent the weekend ventilated on PICU, our little town doesn't have a PICU so we ended up in Wales as the only place with a bed!!

All in all utterly terrifying and the only thing she came up positive to (and she had every swab/blood test done possible) was influenza.

I don't want to scare anyone but I had no idea how serious flu could be and how ill it could make a healthy 10 year old 😓 and I'm a nurse!!

Anyway onto more light hearted matters, I'm still in bed and had a lovely sleep. Plan today is to take dd riding and then I'm going to look at an arm chair that is for sale on fb, it looks nice and is only £20! Dd wants to get some pumpkins so will pop your morrisons and see what they've got.

WereWolfcub · 27/10/2018 08:43

Morning all. Girlie that sounds quite frightening.

Dog-sitting today so will be out and about in the sog. Ds has an activity in a bit so will take him there in a while and I need to drop off the charity shop stuff, there wasn’t time yesterday as traffic in town was awful

em have a great moving in day, and pace yourself. The gap in the banisters sounds a bit Shock, don't think that is any way allowed on the mainland, for the exact reason you're blocking it. 10cm in the max gap, like cot bars I think.

I am decorated out. Seriously. I ache all over, have that gloss smell under my nose, but must keep going. I get the girls back at 3, and it won't be as finished as I'd hoped. But we are all loving the wallpaper.

WreckTangled · 27/10/2018 08:53

Girlie it's scary when even the GP gets it wrong. It's a good job you have medical knowledge and trusted your instincts

AutumnLeaves12 · 27/10/2018 08:59

Girlie that really is scary and it must have been so hard to make those decisions on your own without another adult there to discuss it with. I find medical decisions in the night so difficult. You did a brilliant job getting your dd to hospital and getting her the help she needed when she needed it. Flowers

ememem84 · 27/10/2018 09:14

lonely I dont think that’s allowed here now!! But the house was built in ‘76 so times have changed and health n safety etc. Anyway it’s being blocked up. It’s not essential to be done before we move in (as well still watch ds like hawks anyway) but one of the more essential essentials.

LonelyOversharer · 27/10/2018 09:19

So, dp did an epic trip yesterday to pick up a free rx8 engine. He's going to dismantle it, produce a set of engineering drawings of it, then fix it.

He has just dropped it on me! It was balanced on the jack. Just stop it falling says he as he hoicks it up a step. Yeah, right. He did not tell me it was 95kg. My legs are a bit bruised and scraped. I have a feeling he is going to be reallly nice to me today.

Unescorted · 27/10/2018 09:58

wreck that sounds awful. So pleased that she has made a recovery.
Very belated birthday wishes for caglatini hope it was awesome. I love the innocence and hope of first birthdays. They are just jolly good fun.
Em happy moving day!
Lonely awesome DIY skills again. My wallpapering looks like Nora Hattie's knees. I like plastering mind.... It is like a huge cake.

I have had a bit of a break from here .. unintended just work life got in the way. Hope you are all well.

I have been relegated to Pew McSpew today. If any of your babies get it treat them with care. It comes with horrific cramps and bone numbing coldness. If I recover I will be making a skirt, having found a remnant of stretchy suiting material.... Holy grail = a comfortable pencil skirt. £3.54 including zip and fastener. Swearing extra.
