Oh cag she is scrumptious!!!

Wolfcub · 06/10/2018 20:57

Cag such a beautiful picture. Her birthday is a few days after ds’s.

Sea food news on shoes and trousers. I cannot wear smart trousers for work as I am the wrong shape but I am always interested in comfortable shoes, arthritic bits mean heals are no longer in my clothing vocabulary.

Haven’t quite caught up with the thread, difficult afternoon. Will catch up.

Mammy did the court put anything in writing re support from h? If not and he keeps playing silly buggers you might need a separate financial order.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 07/10/2018 07:08

@girlie no arrangements in place yet regarding money except verbally that he would continue to pay the mortgage, it's not the only bill involved in a house and two children though Hmm hopefully my solicitor will be in touch this week
Hope your DD's hearing improves that's the last thing she needs Thanks

That's interesting about shoes on eBay so I should sell rather than charity bin when decluttering?

Cag she's a beauty

Christmas back to work batch cooking Smile if it's a single synthetic duvet ds's goes into our dryer

Wolf there's nothing ordered by court regarding access or money, I just went for a safety order, which arrived valid until sept 17 instead of sept 19 ShockAngry I've got the amended one now though.
Will probably have to go down that route if I can't get an agreement in place via solicitor

Wolfcub · 07/10/2018 07:33

Mammy fingers crossed the solicitor can resolve it.

It is very frosty here. Ds has an activity that I have to watch, outside, for about five hours today. Brrrr

ChristmasSeacow · 07/10/2018 08:13

I hope you get the money sorted soon Mammy.

Wolf do you take a flask of hot drinks with you? And have you seen those hand warmers that you can buy that you kind of ‘snap’ to activate and then pop in your gloves? Not very frugal I guess as they are consumable but they were a real life saver in my pre-DC life of hobbies when I used to hang out in animal hides in winter taking photos of birds etc. 5 hours is a long time to be cold!

DH has been lovely and said I could have a lie in today (we usually have one each at the weekend but both had to get up with a sick dc each yesterday). I might get up in a mo though as I need to do some work today, as well as a lot of batch cooking. I will be chopping veg for hours! At least it’s dry here today.

I’m about to spend £87 on 3 pairs of sandals. They are the cork ones, like Birkenstocks, and I lived in mine this summer and they need binning now as I’ve walked miles in them and the soles have lost their supportiveness. They’re around half price so much better getting some now than waiting till next summer to buy at full price.

Is the frugaleer weight loss thread still going? Is it in WL chat? I might pop over. Am sticking to the plan at the moment so it’s going well, though I am spending more on food!

ememem84 · 07/10/2018 08:30

wolf also re hand warmers you can get ones to go in boots.

When I’m riding I also have sheepskin insoles in my riding boots. Lovely and toasty.

WreckTangled · 07/10/2018 08:31

We're going to the tip and garden centre today. Not spending any money though.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 07/10/2018 08:37

We're over here Frugaleers talk weight loss & food http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/weightlosss_chat/3304935-frugaleers-talk-weight-loss-food Christmas

I hope so wolf but I'm more concerned about getting a routine in place for having them now, I have suggested 2 evenings each & every second fri/sat/sun and he said ok but then never replied when I asked which two evenings & did he want to start next fri as his weekend Angry He also told me he'd pick them up at 4.30 but didn't appear until 7, I had rushed home to have them home for 4.30, he denied saying 4.30 even though I've got it on text. I think he thought I was going out with a gang yesterday evening and wanted to ruin it for me. I wasn't but was still angry on the dc's behalf.

Have you got any of those coats jam recommends for long country walks?

Christmas have you had any luck with physio for plantar fasciitis? Probably don't have time to go. Definitely worth getting the sandals now reduced & shoes you got yesterday sound lovely. Hi

mammynowanauntyIRL · 07/10/2018 08:39

That hi just slipped in Hmm

Will be a nsw for me, have €7.45 in my account. On Friday I paid €3.98 balance on Tesco cc which I thought had been paid in full on balance transfer.

Wolfcub · 07/10/2018 08:48

Sea can you use the food processor to hop the veggies?

Parka - check
Scarf - check
Thick socks - check
Contigo - check
Deep heat patch and codeine check

I cannot however find the refillable bloody hand warmer.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 07/10/2018 08:56

You sound well prepared wolf

thistimenextsummer · 07/10/2018 08:59

Morning all!

NSD yesterday but we're off to local outlet store today so expecting spends. I don't 'need' anything but will be on the lookout for Christmas gifts and possibly shoes for the girls if there are any real bargains to be had.

Sunny and bright here and I'm still in bed with a cuppa so happy days Smile

mammynowanauntyIRL · 07/10/2018 09:11

Last night I prepped Jack Munroe's pint glass bread, going to bake it now, will post photo when it's done Smile

Sounds like a good day thistime

lifelongfrugaleer · 07/10/2018 09:35

£50 MacDonald, £187 riding party, shattered now. Woken with a headache.

ememem84 · 07/10/2018 10:04

Have been awake since 5! Ds woke up coughing and didn’t seem to want to settle again so we had a nice cuddle in bed. Yay! Until he tried to escape.

We shared breakfast (toast and cut up fruit) and have had some playtime. We had some milk and read a book all before dh came down at 830. So relatively long lie in for him.

I’ve just got back from the gym. Ddad just saw me walking into the kitchen and asked where I was going. Had to point out I’d just come back...

Not sure what today’s plans are. Aiming for nsd.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 07/10/2018 10:16

mammy I've got a horrible feeling he is going to be a pita re money and access. I think you are going to need everything in writing as he will just muck you about otherwise.

Dd still not right so back to the Dr's tomos.

Ystd was a lsd £1.52 on milk and a paper.

Today I need to do an aldi shop, will get organised and do a meal plan in a bit....

Wolfcub · 07/10/2018 10:55

Life happy birthday to dd 🍰

Cagliostro · 07/10/2018 11:10

Jeeeez they’ve put our old house up for rent again. £1000pm for a tiny two bed with crappy storage heating that I can see they haven’t replaced :(

Cagliostro · 07/10/2018 11:11

We ended up paying £900 before we moved out, for context.

ememem84 · 07/10/2018 12:06

At fils. Been given the biggest set of joules bath stuff I’ve ever seen. For my birthday. Yay. (Super kind Although more stuff to clutter up the house!! Haha!) smells lovely. Floral but also really citrusy.

ChristmasSeacow · 07/10/2018 12:44

Well he might find potential tenants aren’t impressed with the heaters Cag! Though he’ll probably say they work a treat Angry

Hope you are staying warm enough Wolf

My big excitement of the morning - DD is walking! FINALLY! She’s definitely been capable of doing it for a while (she’s been barely holding onto our finger while walking about) but was just too scared to do it alone. She took two steps on her own this morning with my encouragement, grinned a massive grin and then literally ran across the sitting room and into the kitchen! She’s been belting about ever since, with a fair bit of falling on her bum but it doesn’t seem to be putting her off. She’s been running around with a toy in each hand BECAUSE SHE CAN! I am so chuffed!

My back is also rejoicing GrinGrinGrin

ChristmasSeacow · 07/10/2018 12:51

Mammy I’ve not done anything about physio yet. I’ll go to the Gp but expect I’ll end up waiting a long time. I wouldn’t mind going private but I’m not sure how to find a physio I’d trust as I’m really anxious about making it worse. Though it’s fairly bad already 😬

I have indeed bought a lot of footwear recently - and very little else! I think you can all tell how obsessed I am with my feet atm Grin.

FWIW Mammy, I think your DH is probably going to be a knob about money and access. Any way to have a dig at you. I know you’ll stand firm, you sound so optimistic about your future DH-less life!

mammynowanauntyIRL · 07/10/2018 13:07

Yep girlie text messages this morning regarding dc have proven that. He totally misconstrued what was said outside court house last week too.

He lodged €122 less into joint account today too, like if he's buying food etc that's fine until we sort finances out properly but use joint account so it's transparent.

Jack Munroe's Pint Glass Bread frugal but high calorie, I forgot the salt in mix too.

Cag is housing market so squeezed that people will end up paying it?

Brilliant Christmas well done to your dd
You're right I'm definitely optimistic about my future minus H

I'm watching nappily ever after on Netflix & then the kitchen is going to be emptied of h's crap

Cagliostro · 07/10/2018 14:02

TBH I’ve seen similar houses go for a bit more than that. They have at least put wooden flooring downstairs although wouldn’t be surprised if it’s cheap crappy stuff. It’s a sought after area, fuck knows why as the primary school there is shit. It’s like the reputation is everything regardless of what it’s actually like. Not that I’m biased or anything :o

Yay seacalf! 😍 And double yay for your back, you will enjoy standing up straight now.

Winter stuff. I’m getting Cagletini some wellies, but in terms of outerwear do I go for a coat or a snowsuit? I know you can get footless snowsuits so she can still wear shoes. I don’t like them as much as newborn ones with feet though
