Cheers jam love the title. em love the cake, it’s gorgeous. For some reason the return button on my iPad isn’t working. How odd.

Bornlazy · 24/09/2018 15:38

Thanks jam was trying to do a link but old thread is full. I’m sure everyone will find us on this one 😀

Bornlazy · 24/09/2018 15:40

em your cake is great it’s so bright and colourful - perfect for a first birthday 🍰

WreckTangled · 24/09/2018 15:42

Thanks jam

Em great cake! Pleased you had fun at the zoo.

Am just sitting down for a minute before getting the dc from their (free!) after school clubs then home and a quick dinner before we need to leave for ds' swimming lesson. Dh didn't empty the dw this morning and I'm not doing it. He thinks he's hard done by in the morning as he gets the dc breakfast (ds has overnight oats and dd usually has toast), empty the dw, make his lunch (he also makes DD's lunch but I would be happy to do this), maybe help ds get dressed and get himself ready. I have to get myself ready (including shower), make all the beds, do my lunch, pack DD's lunch (dh leaves it on the side), refill water bottles, write in reading diaries, ensure book bags/pe bags/swimming kits/homework are all ready if need be, helps ds get dressed if need be, ensure teeth are brushed, do DD's hair and shout ten million times for them to get their shoes on Grin I have about twenty minutes more than him in the morning so I think that's fair but as ever he likes to moan! Oh I also make sure all the breakfast stuff is in the dw (if it's been emptied) and clean down all the sides in the kitchen after he's made a mess. Sometimes I even hoover before I leave.

Ah I feel better after that Grin pasta and sauce for dinner, ds' favourite.

Justanothermile · 24/09/2018 15:43

Thanks Cag, it sounds like you have got a busy schedule at present.

Sorry for the folk struggling with MH. It's a tough thing to deal with indeed.

em I absolutely LOVE your cake, and that sounds like a fab day. Agree, where the hell did that year go?

seacow, ditto re the cake. You guys are so talented. Great news also about the opportunity re work, great if that comes off and you get the childcare sorted.

Wolf, ohh exciting! We had the whole family round yesterday for a last big meal pre DS going off to university and I used the pot to do a massive beef goulash. I'm veggie myself but everyone said how soft the meat was. Which isn't a reflection on my talent at cooking, but an indication of the pot!

And, weirdly, if you hard boil eggs in it, the shells just peel off in one, clearly this thing alone justifies the cost GrinGrin

I didn't keep up yesterday due to said family meal and prep for this, plus the usual long run on a Sunday morning.

I'm back on it now.

NSD.

Ooh that’s weird curls my post above was supposed to be on two separate lines but the return button (on iPhone) didn’t work for me either 🤔. Nope still not working!

ememem84 · 24/09/2018 15:50

Yay. Found you. Wahoooo

mammynowanauntyIRL · 24/09/2018 15:57

Sorry jam Blush

I've had some mega news today. Didn't feel right posting about it so soon after wrecks misfortune with tax.
Booking.com who promised me €150 compo about a month ago & haven't sent it, have now emailed saying they'll process my claim for €1237.21 Shock I'll believe it when it's in my account Grin

mammynowanauntyIRL · 24/09/2018 16:00

You're a busy lot while I was typing that post lots of you have posted Smile

Jam clearly that's a reason to buy one Grin

Cagliostro · 24/09/2018 16:01

Yo em the Dino tee arrived today thank you! 💐Big hugs to the scrummy birthday boy 😍 don’t blame you for feeling all emotional, I definitely will be next month. Nope enter key still not working. WTF. I shall use emojis instead.🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄Anyway, DH worked at the Other Store today, area manager changed his tune when he saw the state of it the other day and basically said Oh crap we need MrCag! 😂 But they still don’t want to lose him at the current place. Still not sure what will happen re switching. It’s frustrating being so uncertain especially as it means sports club can’t be organised more than a week in advance and it’s changed already due to moving. Argh. Don’t like messing people about! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️Need to go to Asda in a bit, to get dinner stuff. Will take a lot of willpower to not buy all the chocolate 🍫

Cagliostro · 24/09/2018 16:02

OMG mammy that’s epic!!!

Wrongwayup · 24/09/2018 16:15

Jumping on. 75 to last test on month. Lovely cake em. Girlie i also have central heating issues. It got stuck on a valve had gone. They fixed it but had to take 155 out of savings. Was good though and didn't put everything back in the airing cupboard. 3 bin liners ready for charity shop. Amazing what I had shoved in there.

WreckTangled · 24/09/2018 16:46

Mammy don't feel bad! That's amazing!! You really deserve it and it will help you so much at this awful time.

Wolfcub · 24/09/2018 16:51

Thanks Jam

Wolfcub · 24/09/2018 16:54

Mammy that’s fantastic news

Wolfcub · 24/09/2018 16:54

Em ds’s cake is lovely. For some reAson I can only post a single line and can’t do return to create a new line/paragraph

SummerDaize · 24/09/2018 17:17

Thanks for the thread jam.

SummerDaize · 24/09/2018 17:19

That's really interesting that it can just be turned on and off with a chemical wreck. It kind of makes me feel as though I could just disregard all that stuff and it might just go away. I suppose it's not that simple though is it? I mean some degree of doubt is there to keep us safe, on some level, and getting the right amount of doubt is the trick perhaps.

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/09/2018 17:24

Thanks jam

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/09/2018 17:28

Fab cake em. Happy birthday C. Return isn't working for me either so going for big spaces. £7 in £1 shop. Awesome mammy, you keep it you deserve it.

Wolfcub · 24/09/2018 17:34

Right dinner is in the instant pot. I’m not following an ip recipe just adapting a normal beef in ale casserole so it could be a complete disaster. I won’t hold it against the ip if it is

mammynowanauntyIRL · 24/09/2018 18:04

I'm looking on this money as start of my new home fund or deposit for rental if necessary I think. €1000 for that.

Going to replace chain that broke on newbridge necklace my sister gave me for my 30th it broke before Christmas and put €150 into joint acc as I've an email to back up this amount.

And remainder will just help make life a little easier.
I know I'm paying interest on cc's but I want to leave those as they are for separation as they're joint expenses.

Wolf look forward to hearing about your ip success
