mammy now that is impressive 😂

CurlsandCurves · 27/09/2018 14:34

North yes it is indeed JD Sports. Everyone I’ve spoken to has been really nice, but honestly it seems like they just haven’t got a clue!

Adore Teddy 😍😍😍

Just had fingers and toes done, I’ll post a photo later. Cost me a bit more because the salon was hosting a Macmillan coffee morning so of course I had to buy some cake!

ememem84 · 27/09/2018 14:56

So. Lovely friend paid for lunch. Yay. And I got us 10% off with my store card. I just waived it at them and they took the discount.

Also...my new course has been approved. Yahoooooo. And work will pay for it. Waaaaahhhhhhoooooooo!!!! And I’ve been accepted on it!!!!!!! Weeeeeeeeeeee!!

now to buy a new laptop and note books and pens for studying jokes

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 27/09/2018 16:34

That's great em well done!

Amazing weather here, I'm lying in the sun in the garden!

Spent £1.20 parking
£6 primark got a lovely scarf for my god mum

Will get my other brother some nice bottles of beer at some point which he will be happy with.

Dd wants to go to the cinema tomos with her new friends and possibly macdonalds as well.....

northender · 27/09/2018 16:43

Great news about the course Em
Curls that's exactly what our friends said re JD

Justanothermile · 27/09/2018 16:46

No you are correct north re Archeology, well remembered I must say! I'm glad you had a good experience at Liverpool, the city had a good feel to it, as did the campus.

Not such good news re your DS, make sure you update us as to the outcome tomorrow.

Yes our dogs are not allowed on the sofa either Adora...... or the beds....Grin

Petrol
£73, empty tank.
£50 Amazon, office items for work.

Adora You have lost that fight. Just sit on the floor so he can stretch out a bit Grin

North I know that it sounds bonkers but warm tea bags can be used on eyes. The heat seems to draw out infection and tannin is astringent. If a wounds too wet with no infection it can stop healing completely. I wont bore you with my "I healed a wound that was static for 7 years with honey". Obviously the honey was sterile manuka.

Curls Email their ceo, the email address is on google. It's been going on long enough.

Em Excellent, I'm sure your boss is calculating your new salary as we speak.

£1.60 ham
£6 aldi, eggs and two beers for me.
£1.77 morrisons
£7.50 petrol.

WreckTangled · 27/09/2018 17:59

SummerDaize · 27/09/2018 18:11

Nice!

SummerDaize · 27/09/2018 18:12

Shame not to be able to use it all the time though.

Did you want that soup flask that I posted about? I posted earlier on today so you might have missed it.

WreckTangled · 27/09/2018 18:15

Oh sorry I saw early but haven't properly caught up! Thanks for the offer but dh has just announced that he fixed it (but didn't tell me!)

SummerDaize · 27/09/2018 18:19

Ah! That's very good news then. Well done your dh.

SnugglySnerd · 27/09/2018 20:08

Just realised it's payday tomorrow for DH and me and we're still well in the black! Hooray!

northender · 27/09/2018 20:14

Haha Jam it has changed so much since I was there twenty something years ago, but still has a good vibe & some of my old haunts are still there!
Well, I don't want to tempt fate, but ds looks and feels markedly better today (Day 4 of antibiotics, 24 to go). Fingers crossed the improvement continues. Thanks for the teabag tip Fluffy, I've made him try allsorts & I think teabags have been done!
Dd is going to cost us more for a while as she has group drama exam coming up in December but really wants to do a solo exam too. The teacher can only accommodate that through one to one lessons which obviously cost more. Dd is very committed though and we have always supported ds financially with his cricket so we have said yes. It's 1 lesson a week for 8 weeks (£20 for 45 mins). The exams are a once a year thing so it won't be ongoing. First lesson is tomorrow.

CurlsandCurves · 27/09/2018 20:20

snuggly yay, well done! So are you going to move what you’ve got left to save it? Or do you have plans for it?

fluffy I’m giving it till tomorrow which is a day later than they promised and then I’ll email. Thanks for the tipoff re the CEO address. I’ll definitely be going down that road if no joy tomorrow. And maybe asking if they fancy replacing their head of lost parcels with me. Or employing me to actually read emails before sending out a stock reply.

ememem84 · 27/09/2018 20:33

So tired.

Dh has labirynthitis. He’s been feeling dizzy for a few days and went to the dr today.

I’ve just done a quick count of my coins in my jar. £53. Wahooo. Waiting until it’s full before banking it though.

SnugglySnerd · 27/09/2018 20:59

Bit of a mixture Curls. Will probably use it for Xmas.

ibuiltahomeforyou · 27/09/2018 21:33

Thanks for your warm welcome back, team! Has anyone tried the budgeting app Cleo?

I spent £26 today in a toy shop for a set of Hama beads and some felts for my DN, and a fuzzy felt set for my goddaughter whose birthday is coming up.

I still have half a tank of petrol too.

Had lunch out with someone at work (who paid on expenses) so that felt indulgent!

CurlsandCurves · 27/09/2018 21:37

em ooh, labyrinthitis is nasty, DH has had it twice. Last time he was bed bound for a fortnight. And he never gets poorly. You all have my sympathy.

CurlsandCurves · 27/09/2018 21:41

snuggly whatever you use it for, if you use it, it’s nice to have that buffer, a bit of protection from whatever life in general throws at you.

ibuiltahomeforyou · 27/09/2018 21:48

@SnugglySnerd that is so inspiring!

SnugglySnerd · 27/09/2018 22:09

Thanks ibuilt and Curves It's the first month since going back to work that we haven't struggled because of childcare bills so it feels like a bit of an achievement. All my bill/mortgage etc switching is paying off at last!

mammynowanauntyIRL · 28/09/2018 02:23

@this no they just had stickers & crafting stuff and one pack of stickers were Halloween themed.

@em congrats on approval for course

@Girlie great work on inexpensive gifts

Further spends yesterday €4.10 on chips for me, I skipped lunch with nerves, only had a plain roll from Lidl bakery mindlessly eaten in my hand & realised at 5pm that I was starving.

Yesterday was a big day for me, was in court with H (not sure what I owe solicitor yet but whatever it is it was worth it) I succeeded in getting a 12 month protection order(without going on stand to give my statement) and an agreement for h to move out asap, continue paying mortgage until house is sold once I relinquish any claim on his other house & don't prevent access to children. Phew! And for separation agreement to be sorted out within that 12 month timeframe. Grin He did try get me to pay him €5k to help set him up in other houseAngry & walk away from court but I refused firstly in person & secondly through my solicitors discussions with his.

@snuggly great news about payday & still being well in the black, is this as a result of stretching out your mortgage term?

Bornlazy · 28/09/2018 06:26

Well done Mammy that must be a great relief for you. You can finally start moving forward with the next chapter of your life Flowers

ememem84 · 28/09/2018 07:02

Wow mammy well done. That’s a huge step forwards. Xxx
