Cag you sound as though you're having a great time - enjoy your drinkWine

Wreck well done your dd! Ds1 is a good speller ds2 is like his mother not so good.

Spends today £57 Tesco. £21 B&M bought a lovely cozy throw for my bed. Walked about with my phone scanning for bargains - felt a bit silly Hmm £22 on lunch with my friend and £30 petrol. So that's £130 all paid for in cash as I still don't have my new debit card from the bank.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 11/09/2018 22:36

Welcome coral
Wreck well done to your dd, that is fantastic!
Another long day at work with more home visits and then a really long meeting.
Jam I use lots of Jack Monroe's recipes and I've never seen that one, think I will make it at the weekend.

Great work WreckDD! I can’t be the only one to want to know what the one word she got wrong was though... can I? Grin just testing myself

Lovemaltesers · 12/09/2018 06:23

Morning all.

Had the best sleep I’ve had in ages last night. Woke up at 3 and probably didn’t go back again unti 5.

Work today and must do the following:

Pay cheque into bank from insurers. It’s a refund on our contents insurance for the apartment. A grand total of £8.51.

Print and send back nsandi form re premium bonds together with proof of address and passport.

Make appointment with Lloyd’s to open savings account.

Be amazing.

Sore throat has gone. Hooray. But the songs have arrived. Boooo. Ds has a lot to answer for.

Also two of my eBay things sold yesterday. So I’m about £12 up. Yippee. And by some miracle my current for sale items have aligned themselves and will all finish on Sunday. Yippee.

lifelongfrugaleer · 12/09/2018 07:09

Just got up here. Shattered after a long day yesterday.

DD does on an away trip today.

WreckTangled · 12/09/2018 07:27

Sea it was autumn! She got the m and n the wrong way round at the end! She's very lucky I don't think ds is going to find it as easy!

SummerDaize · 12/09/2018 07:37

I had a decent night's sleep finally, but could do with about four more to catch up. And have very busy days planned on Thursday and Friday. Hibernation planned for today.

CurlsandCurves · 12/09/2018 08:10

Morning,

Had a great nights sleep last night too, was dropping off on the sofa at 9.30, so off I went and that was it till DHs alarm went off at about 6. Then I dozed till about 7.30.

Remortgage has finally all gone through and we are £40 a month better off, which is fab. More money saving ahead though. We have 2 rental properties that I’ve not remortgaged in 5 years. The buy to let mortgage market has changed a fair bit in that time, more people are lending again. And some rough calculations show that we could save £150-200 a month! So that’s next.

Once that’s done, the plan is to save save save and hopefully get some long overdue work done on our house. The bathroom is 20 years old and is desperately ready for replacing, as is our 10 year old ensuite which we did on the cheap to get it useable.

Today should be a NSD, not had one for ages. Working this morning, then having a friend over for lunch. Then more work once I’ve got the kids back from school and as much ironing as I can fit in ( why am I always ironing whenever I post on here?).

ememem84 · 12/09/2018 08:49

At work. Today I have gone for the more casual side of business casual. Skinny black trousers. Leopard print pointed kitten heels. Denim shirt (tucked in sleeves rolled collar popped). Pearls. And unbelievably fluffy hair. Sigh. May have to put it up later.

Dm made lunches - leek quiche and salad. And also dressed ds and kept him entertained while I had breakfast and my cuppa. Yay. Best Mummy.

WreckTangled · 12/09/2018 08:55

Ah tumble dried one of my (very few) bras. I'm so pissed off Angry

mammynowanauntyIRL · 12/09/2018 10:30

Got my ryanair refund of €28 Grin

Also a point of information, refunds do not count towards minimum payment on credit cards, I learned this to my cost last month. €7 late payment fee, I was only short €3.?? but I didn't have it at the time.

My own account has €3.41 in it until payday tomorrow which is fine.

Joint account is down to €114.51, H never did his transfer this week.

We are currently not speaking and I don't expect this to change now so will be interesting to see what happens with the joint account.

H has always seen this as giving money to me not as contributing to his share of the household bills, so he's probably withholding it as a punishment.

wreck your dd is amazing, and that's a funny word anyhow! Pity about your bra, so annoying.

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/09/2018 10:38

Email the ceo of the cc company and explain. If they refund also make sure it hasn't been recorded on your credit history.

What will happen if he doesn't transfer? will the mortgage be paid?.

ChristmasSeacow · 12/09/2018 10:57

Phew, I can definitely spell autumn Wink

I’m really sorry to hear about the not speaking Mammy, that must be so difficult when you are all still living in one place. Any prospect of H moving out? I seem to recall he had another property, though occupied...

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 12/09/2018 11:22

I can spell autumn as well! Not sure dd could though, she also learnt to spell phonetically and it did her no favours at all as her hearing isn't great!

I've been back to the Dr's today and she has signed me off another two weeks, am relieved as didn't really feel ready to go back but fed up as well as want to be better! Dd also off today, she has a sore throat and cough, always tricky to know with her how bad it is but I gave her the benefit of the doubt.

ememem84 · 12/09/2018 11:47

mammy that’s really shit of your ex. Hope he does transfer funds. If there’s one thing I cannot stand it’s petty game playing.

emem le yum indeed!

mammynowanauntyIRL · 12/09/2018 13:06

Love pecan plaits em
I made this for breakfast so don't feel too hard done by.

Won't panic just yet fluffy major bills incl mortgage don't come out until first week of the month.

What I might do though is stall the next grocery shop until I'm sure he's paying in money to the account & if he questions it explain why HmmConfused

mammynowanauntyIRL · 12/09/2018 13:07

Curls if I mentioned it, it'd either be 'I forgot' or a massive argument, I'm not going there

mammynowanauntyIRL · 12/09/2018 13:07

Christmas not at the moment

ememem84 · 12/09/2018 14:08

Oh mammy le supér yum!!!

Productive day.

Appointment with Lloyd’s to set up new account on Monday.

Paid in my insurance refund cheque

Stopped into local dept store to check if I had a store card/account with them (I do!) and they gave me a new card. Turns out account holders get 15% off homewares until end of September. And double points.

So. We’ll be using that then....and paying it off straight away obviously.

Also bought a wedding card for dh’s niece. We forget about his half sister a lot. She’s a nightmare. Money grabbing attention seeking etc. Dh is putting £20 in the card if we put any more than that in Half sil will be after more....

Fluffycloudland77 · 12/09/2018 15:30

NSD & superdrug got back to me to say yes I can return a foundation I bought in there for a refund so that's £5 saved.

Wolfcub · 12/09/2018 15:53
