You acted on your own initiative so instead of adding to the workload of your head of department, I think it's praise you should be getting instead of this!

thistimenextsummer · 21/09/2018 16:38

Ooh I'm in on my own tonight so might watch swfl too!

Wreck sounds like the other person doesn't want you getting recognition for doing your job above and beyond - how annoying.

Dd has joined a new club and although we paid weekly for the first couple of weeks as a trial we just had to pay the next 6 weeks subs plus annual membership so that's £47 😱. We've only got £75 left til month end for groceries, fun, entertainment and a gift for my nieces birthday. I already have money set aside for petrol so it at least doesn't include that. Challenge for the weekend is to meet up with friends, in the rain, without spending too much money! I think picnics are out of the question 😂

WreckTangled · 21/09/2018 16:50

It really upset me and now I'm just pissed off.

Anyway. £18 in Tesco getting stuff they didn't have in Aldi and a box of matchmakers

mammynowanauntyIRL · 21/09/2018 17:07

thistimenextsummer I would message them privately and say that you can't pay it all upfront and offer the annual membership plus weekly payment if you genuinely can't afford it.

ememem84 · 21/09/2018 17:30

£10.46 in M&S. Pizza garlic bread humous and crispies.

Now waiting for dh in the car.

Cagliostro · 21/09/2018 18:40

Oh FFS eBay have closed my case as it was inactive. I was just waiting for them to resend and trying to be nice by not bugging them. Fail.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 21/09/2018 18:42

Just had the rest of my chicken casserole for dinner, had forgotten how much I like it!! I added red wine, marmite and a few other bits into the mix and it was delicious.

A good friend has offered to do some flower center pieces for the tables at my party for free 😊 she is studying to become a florist and I know they will be beautiful.

A very different evening here tonight, it's calm and clear out there!

LonelyOversharer · 21/09/2018 18:56

cag get on live chat. I have always found them ace.

Cagliostro · 21/09/2018 19:04

Thanks I didn’t know that was a thing (am on iPad app but can go via laptop later). I sent a message about the item (as it wouldn’t let me reply to the request as it’s closed) so will see. She went on holiday after “sending” the item the first time apparently... not entirely convinced TBH but I’ll get a refund at some point I’m sure.

Wolfcub · 21/09/2018 19:10

Girlie what a lovely thing for your friend to do. Flowers

Having a tough evening h’s aunty is being difficult, h is moaning at me about how hard his life is and ds is being difficult including having kicked me because he’s in a mood. Roll on bedtime

Evening, I've not kept up today.

You're very welcome life, just chuck in charity if no good.

Spends.
£24 UCAS application fee for Dd, yikes that's her application in.

DH is bringing a curry in, I was up for cooking but he's paying.

Sorted out all DS's university stuff today with him, just a few items to get but he's ready really.

Talking of DS, he's had a spendy day - £1500 on his first terms halls. He's using his maintenance loan to cover this. Nice gentle introduction to paying your own wayGrin

Justanothermile · 21/09/2018 19:17

Oh wolf, that's shit on all sides. Thanks

ememem84 · 21/09/2018 19:45

Watching swfl. Where does Steph get her jumpers?!?! And shirts.

Ds is asleep. Thankfully earlier than last night.

Hoorah.

cag that is what I hate about eBay.

Justanothermile · 21/09/2018 19:50

Do you like them or loathe em, I can't tell from your commentGrin

SnugglySnerd · 21/09/2018 19:57

Wolf that is rubbish Flowers

NSD. Feeling a bit rough. Going to catch up on SWFL and go to bed early. I know how to live it up at the weekend! Grin

ememem84 · 21/09/2018 19:59

jam love!!!

thistimenextsummer · 21/09/2018 20:53

SWFL here too. I even have a honey and lemon to make it even more rocknroll 😂 Steph's jumpers are mind boggling!! The family this week are lovely 😊
Mammy good idea about the subs. I've got the money ready in an envelope (£75 is left after taking this out) but will ask when I go to pay it. Even if it's next week and still before payday at least il know if we've needed to spend that money on food!! (I'm going to aim for a 'use up' week, just shopping daily for what we need)

mammynowanauntyIRL · 22/09/2018 05:23

This time I had to pay a registration fee for dds activity last week which I'd normally split & pay half now and half after Christmas but figured we'd be further into separation at that stage & it might be harder to get money from H so paid it now.

WreckTangled · 22/09/2018 06:54

Argh I've been looking at flights to Alicante for next year and a few weeks ago we could go with Norwegian for £500 (end of summer holidays) we didn't book because were waiting for easyJet to come out next week but now even then Norwegian ones are over £1000 and I'm worried we've missed the boat Sad

ememem84 · 22/09/2018 06:59

Morning. It’s before 7 (just) on a Saturday. How did my life turn out this way. Ds has farted in our bed and it stinks. He’s happy with it though.

We’ve also had baby shark playing since 630.

Riding today. And I have to pick up the balloons I ordered for ds’ birthday on Monday.

Other than that. No spends.

Cagliostro · 22/09/2018 08:03

Can’t believe he’s going to be one already em it’s crazy how fast this year has gone! I haven’t got any birthday presents for her yet and have no idea how we are celebrating, I know the Caglets would like to do something and lots of their friends would too as they all adore her (she is very spoilt for attention!).

I’ve got to take DD to ballroom today as DH changed his shift, we are going to a fundraiser event for an autism charity. Relevant to us as a family obviously and might see some friends there but also useful for DH’s extra job as lots of networking to be done.

No update on him changing shop branches/hours really, as the area manager wants him staying at the current one longer because basically they’re fucked if he leaves 🙄 but I suggested he asks if splitting his time might work, say two late shifts at current one and two earlies at the new one. At least then we would start getting the potential benefits of the early shifts sooner. I suppose it just depends which manager shouts the loudest. 🤔

SnugglySnerd · 22/09/2018 08:22

Top up shop planned today. Other than that nothing much planned for today except for Strictly! Glitterball

WreckTangled · 22/09/2018 08:27

I need to go and get the rest of my prescription this morning. Dh picked it up for me yesterday but they only gave him one out of the three things Angry he didn't realise because I didn't tell him what I had ordered so my fault. Am also going to take the dc to a new playground that's opened near by so they can run off some energy before it rains. I've been awake since 4:30 so am planning a nap this afternoon Grin dh is working all day.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 22/09/2018 08:59

Awake on & off all night, my headcold has returned too, I'm hiding out in my room for another little while Grin

Wolfcub · 22/09/2018 09:14

Up to take ds to contact. May go back to bed before picking him up again
