Of course the heaviest shower fell while I was out to shed to feed cat and put on a wash this morning, the rain spatters reached 7 feet into the kitchen from back door! And had to bring hens down food as H had taken it up from them last night, first time in about 3 months Hmm Angry and then when I was leaving the house the rain had disappeared Angry
I heard the wind and the rain last night too, but according to fitbit I was asleep so at least my body was relaxing.

Lunch out today and was meant to be treating my friend for her birthday but she's off sick so it'll just be €5 approx for me then.

@em your dad may not have understood in the moment but he will understand today why you told him to go away.

Dd has read all the books we have that are at her level and not able for the ones given to her by her niece yet so may spend on books this weekend. She loves the fairy and magic animal ones, and I bought some from a website before, must search my emails for invoice to buy some more.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 21/09/2018 08:39

It was www.snazal.com and found the next series, might get some presents for Christmas to bring it up to free uk delivery.

ChristmasSeacow · 21/09/2018 08:51

Hope everyone’s homes are still intact! It was pretty stormy even in London, and we don’t normally get much of the exciting weather in the Thames valley. In fact the sheer noise of the wind woke DD up at 2am (MuuummyyyMuuuummyyyMuuummmyyyy! Confused). I’d only gone to bed at 1am because I was up late fashioning crayons out of fondant for DS’s cake (his actual birthday is tomorrow) so this wasn’t good news. It took me 1.5 hours to get her back to sleep. She’s just woken up, but I’ve had only a couple of hours of unbroken sleep so am feeling a bit rough!

Thanks for the kind cake pop comments. I think everything looks pretty professional if you wrap it in cellophane Wink. Not much potential for a business really Lonely, it’s quite a crowded market here actually. Quite a few people are doing bespoke cakes, and much better than I could! They are pretty expensive though, I’m glad I can make my own. I always make an effort with DS’s cake (and class treats) because it’s all I can really do to make his birthday special. He’d never manage a party, doesn’t ask for toys, isn’t keen on surprises etc... so the cakes are The Thing for him.

More cake today - assembling and decorating the birthday cake, family are coming on Sunday.

£30 yesterday on a top for myself online. I also bought loads (and I mean loads!) of Fitflop shoes and boots a few days ago and I have to sort out what I’m keeping and what the final bill is. My foot pain has got worse so I’m desperate for things I can walk in. They seem to come up small though and then there’s no half sizes above my normal size 7. So I’m going to have to wear size 8s and they seem huge! I hope I don’t decide they don’t fit after a bit of wearing, that will be an expensive mistake!

Continuing the spending ... £5 slimming world (had a good first week!) and £37 on a huuuuuge paella pan but using an Amazon gift voucher, so not real money! I’m going to make paella for our family lunch on Sunday. I cook for a crowd pretty often so think I’ll get good use out of it. Also £10 on a huge bundle of second hand tights for dd from fb. Phew.

Ocado order is going to be expensive this week because of hosting.

Dd has started doing fake sneezes and saying ‘bless me!’. It’s so cute ❤️

ememem84 · 21/09/2018 09:16

Payday!!! Wahhoooooo!!

Budgets are reset.

Ds woke up at midnight. Then at 3. And then bashed me on the head at 6 with his toys. (I slept upside down in bed so my head was near his cot so I didn’t have to sit up in the night just reached a hand over and sssshhhhhed him)

Le tired now.

TGIF.

But payday. Jobs today. Post office, go to dsis’ house and pick up cake decorating turntable and piping set. Go to bank for money for the week - am taking out £40 cash. That should be enough for this week (riding tomorrow £30 and then £10 for incidental spends). And have to get a new eyebrow pencil from boots (will use points for this and it’ll be my payday treat).

Cagliostro · 21/09/2018 09:16

Awww that’s adorable seacow 😍 Cagletini’s current thing is saying hello (“awa”) into a phone. Or whatever she’s holding that can be held to her ear like a phone. Brick, open compact mirror... or a chunk of sweet potato 🤦‍♀️😂

Thankfully the wind and rain died down so we are ok for sports club. The first paying session so the first cash earnings since we moved (2 months ago today!!! 😱). Determined to keep better records of our cash income this time!

Bornlazy · 21/09/2018 09:26

Had a spendy day yesterday £60 Aldi £40 Morrisons £12 Mothercare on a gift (everyone at work is having babies) and £34 in Poundstrecher. I am starting to wonder if I would be cheaper avoiding bargain places as I often buy things just because they are cheaper and not because I actually need them at that precise moment. I am incapable of going into a shop and buying only what I have on a list - I go into an almost trance like state and start wandering up and down every aisle 😫.

This is a holiday weekend for us so going to our caravan today and staying until Monday. That always costs money as we buy nicer food and more drinks. DS are both at an age where they don’t want to go and moan constantly 😡. I have woken up with a sore throat and feeling a bit grim so don’t really want to go either but we will.

Sea your cakes always look amazing, you must have great patience. Hope you have a lovely day with ds tomorrow.

ememem84 · 21/09/2018 09:27

Haha cag ds does that into a banana. We’ve taught him “banana phone”

He thinks it’s hilarious.

sea soooo cute!!!!

Wolfcub · 21/09/2018 11:08

Bathroom cleaned, load of wShing on and kitchen floor mopped. Having a little sit down now as I’m wheezing. Need to go out and find some hot eye compresses

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 21/09/2018 12:06

Hope all the poorly frugaleers feel better soon 🌻

Between my arm, the weather, the cat, the back gate banging and dd coughing I got about 2 hours sleep last night 😱 so knackered today. Took dd back to the Dr's as still coughing but he said it was just the end of her bug and to ride it out.

Did an aldi shop £37 but bought lots of fruit to hopefully help top up the vitamins! About £7 of that was non food stuff as well.

Took ages to clear the kitchen this morning post cooking and baking session Ystd, def the down side to cooking stuff from scratch!!

ememem84 · 21/09/2018 12:40

Ahem. £81 spent in boots. On sale items for ds (plus a red winter coat not in sale £26)

ememem84 · 21/09/2018 12:59

Also £11.95 boots (using points) on a smashbox eyebrow pencil. I’ve been wanting to try this for ages. So treated myself on payday.

Wolfcub · 21/09/2018 13:05

40 boots on medicines, hot eye compresses and my moisturiser which was on offer
25 M&S and £6 pets r us

WreckTangled · 21/09/2018 13:17

£55 Aldi (didn't have half the stuff I needed and didn't get loads for that Angry)
£3.99 the range on some modelling clay for DD's homework
£2.75 wickes on a lightbulb for the bathroom.

Pay day for dh yesterday but he still hasn't been paid Angry

Also just read a work email that was basically a team lead from another area telling me off for doing something that she knows f all about. So now I'm in a really bad mood.

Meal plan:

Chilli
Jackets and beans
Pasta and sauce (ds' choice)
Pizza (DD's choice)
lamb kebabs w/flat breads
Wraps with chicken and humous etc
Frittata-bacon and cheese

ememem84 · 21/09/2018 13:26

Have also taken out my spending money for the week. £50. And my credit card will live af home in my drawer from tomorrow.

WreckTangled · 21/09/2018 13:44

And she copied the area manger into the email! Ffs.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 21/09/2018 14:13

Not surprised you're pissed off wreck have you replied?!

Food is getting more expensive 😕

Fluffycloudland77 · 21/09/2018 14:14

NSD..

Watching SWFL. Where do the women find these men?.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 21/09/2018 14:20

wreck Can you give your side of the story to your area manager or will your area manager see it for what it is, none of that other team leader's business? Angry on your behalf

€6.30 on lunch at shop incl 60c on pint of milk for work, I'm not going to take it out of petty cash though cos it's such a small amount

Direct debits that went out of my account today
€70 car loan
€5 dd savings
€4.14 Team RH subscription
€0.99 iCloud subscription
and out of joint account
€40 credit union loan
€190 to au pair
plus €20 for horse riding

WreckTangled · 21/09/2018 14:22

No and I'm not going to. She's four pay bands higher than me so no point, you know how it is. I'll tell my own manager Monday (who's lovely) and will make me feel better I'm sure.

WreckTangled · 21/09/2018 14:23

Mammy I'm hoping (assuming?) the area manager will be thinking 'why has she copied me into this I'm far too busy and important to care' (she's five Pay bands above me I am but a speck of dirt to these people 🤣)

mammynowanauntyIRL · 21/09/2018 14:34

If it's not her area, she shouldn't be reporting on it to anyone really unless you put someone in danger which is extremely unlikely knowing you from here

WreckTangled · 21/09/2018 14:36

Grin certainly not. I just emailed a medical professional (who I know well through work) a question direct instead of asking my the head of our department (who wouldn't know the answer because she only just started) who would then have to ask them anyway 🤷‍♀️ medical professional responded and said x isn't right and needs changing and copied in other team lead (presumably because x needs changing and she can do that!). Gah.

ememem84 · 21/09/2018 14:49

Watching swfl this evening....

Cagliostro · 21/09/2018 15:48

Oh that’s annoying wreck I’ve had annoying bureaucratic bullshit issues at work too when I was in libraries 🙄
