Mum went to dr. Dr sent her to hospital for a cat scan. I’ve spoken to her and she’s there now. Theyre running tests but think it’s just a migraine as all tests have come back clear.

So that’s a relief. Sort of.

Spends today £4.60 on a delicious tuna mayo salad sandwich on white bread. Mmm. Yes I could have made it myself. But well. I didn’t.

£8 cath kidston on a dinosaur plate and bowl for ds.

£9 in boots (using points) on a new eyeliner brush. I want to use my gel eyeliner but have misplaced my old brush.

Today I am mostly dealing with buying a plane for my client. I am currently on the phone on hold to the CAA to find out how we import a plane from the Us to the uk and then to here. Do we need to register it uk then deregistrt and reregister here? Who knows....

mammynowanauntyIRL · 30/08/2018 14:18

Great news em
wreck sounds like a lovely meal plan.

I need to start doing this. And get dinners ready evening before or in the slow cooker to serve up when I'm home.

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/08/2018 14:19

£7.15 Tesco. Cat food, 2 x sweeteners, 12 x smart price gravy. Dh says their gravy is the best. 20p a pack.

£5.74 homebargains 3kg tilda long grain rice, two hand gels, 1 pill box for dh's medication.
£10.98 superdrug. 2 x glycolic peels, 1 foundation.

£5.53 lidl. 4 garlic bulbs, 4 lemons to be juiced and zested, bag of sugar, 3 x plain flour (in the freezer) and 15 eggs.

Also registered for online gp bookings for me, cant do dh but will frogmarch him in at some point, possibly at gun point. We have a gun in the house.....

Things I'm going to try my hand at;

Suet pastry for steak puddings. Haven't got pudding basins but my dishes are sort of pudding shaped so I'll use them.

Dried onion for kebab night, I'll try to use the halogen oven as a dehydrator.

Dried Garlic. As above. The neighbours will love me.

I think that's enough new experiences for one week.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 30/08/2018 14:29

fluffy omeprazole which I've taken, backs not been too bad today but the nerve pain in my arm is back. Will speak to my dr tomos, I'm not sure what to do about work.

My friends been over which was nice .

ememem84 · 30/08/2018 14:33

She’s had all the checks and they’ve confirmed she has a brain. Haha! I asked her whether they found her brain. She sent me a text just saying “slap”

Haha.

£50 on a coat Blush

mammynowanauntyIRL · 30/08/2018 15:27

I forgot in my wisdom getting sharing 3 for 2 deal with my friend on vitamins that I've to pay solicitor €80 on Tues. Have searched for pin # for cc and will use it. Blush

mammynowanauntyIRL · 30/08/2018 17:31

Hopefully I'll have booking.com refund before then & not have to use cc

thistimenextsummer · 30/08/2018 17:53

All the talk of Instantpots (want one, surely it will change my life??!!) has made me dust off the old slow cooker - a batch of sausage casserole now bubbling away.

Glad your ma is feeling well enough for sharp come backs em!
And £50 on a coat that's probably going to be needed very soon sounds most reasonable wreck Smile

TakeItSlow · 30/08/2018 17:54

I'm back from the consultant. He agrees that I need to learn to play the clarinet and had nothing else to add, as I'd done all the reading already. How cool is that, to have to learn a musical instrument on Doctor's orders? Woohoo! He said I should also consider operatic singing. Ye Gads. Grin

TakeItSlow · 30/08/2018 17:55

He specifically suggested the didgeridoo, but I think that may be a step too far. LOL!

WreckTangled · 30/08/2018 17:57

Thanks nextsummer Grin** it's currently £100 on the Debenhams website so I think I did well plus TopCashback.

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/08/2018 18:09

Someone sounds better Em.

I'm wondering if the instapot is too much, It's not like I lack gadgets.

LLL you will have to let us know how you find it.

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/08/2018 18:10

Dh has 20 Wreck. He never wears a coat except to go to the supermarket to buy booze. Meh.

LonelyOversharer · 30/08/2018 18:22

My tea was on the table when I got home! Chilli, nice.

Spent £26 on ebay posting, but thats all sitting in my paypal.

Not sure when I'll hear from the bank/surveyor/solicitor. I'm going to sit tight and wait. I haven't paid the fee to the solicitor yet, so I'm sure it won't be long!

Have had to request a refund for dd2's schoolbag. Would it be very silly to order it again?

lifelongfrugaleer · 30/08/2018 18:24

LSD today. £5 primark and £3 shampoo

WreckTangled · 30/08/2018 18:25

The thing is you need different coats, lightweight waterproof, medium weight waterproof, warm waterproof, going out coat, super warm cosy coat Grin

Ah lonely how I would love to come home to dinner! Well I do sometimes but never anything home cooked!

Wolfcub · 30/08/2018 18:32

Went to label ds’s pe shorts bought from the specific school uniform shop - wrong fecking colour, will have to go back tomorrow.
Em glad dm is ok and that they have checked her out thoroughly

Fluffy you can never have too many gadgets

Hard day at work. Just waiting for ds to have his hair cut £15. Then will go and buy wine!!!
Pay day at midnight. Have diverted leftover cash and an appropriate portion of the annual expense savings to the credit card to pay for the uniform/clothes spends. £67 left to clear off it which I should be able to pay tomorrow

TakeItSlow · 30/08/2018 18:33

My current winter coat is knackered and I have no other coat. #scrooge.

AdoraBell · 30/08/2018 18:36

August has been a heavy month. DD birthday and before that One had a friend over from the Middle East. 3 nights in London and them BBQ with stepson & gf for their birthday. I haven’t totted up, can’t face it 🤦‍♀️

No grocery order this week, fridge was heaving so just needed bread, £3.80 in the bakers, plus yoghurts, fruit juice and chocolate, £17 in Sainsbo’s.

Glad your DMum is feeling better em

Fluffy I’ve pickled radishes this week, apparently it needs a month to brew.

Sounds a good price Wreck 👍

TakeItSlow · 30/08/2018 19:07

Where do you all buy coats? My coat situation is a bit dire.
