They’ve put Russell fucking Brand in Ballers; ruined I tell you, ruined!

Fluffycloudland77 · 23/08/2018 22:34

Tinky Oh well spotted, I am definitely losing my touch. I make it 20p for four tins. I'll get two because dh has an account.

Bornlazy · 23/08/2018 22:37

How is it possible to take a full black bag of rubbish out of a cupboard and yet it still looks full? It's tidy but full.

TinkysWinky · 23/08/2018 22:39

Bizarrely they have disappeared off my greenjinn - must have heard me talking! Still on shopmium though so yes 20p ish for 4 cans Halo

Bowerbird5 · 23/08/2018 23:48

Well done those with GCSEs.

Yesterday I took DD to Sainsburys for some shopping. As she nipped to the loo I had a look in the sale. Dd then joined me she has a swimsuit and a tankini. I bought a pair of jeggins £12 and a top for £5 and a TShirt for £10.They will do for work.
Treated DD and her friend to lunch.main mealx2, a pot of tea. It came
to under £29

LonelyOversharer · 24/08/2018 00:39

I have a wicked short (bum short) kilt too! Ralph Lauren circa 1998. Bought full price in the house of frazer (it was a huge treat, a could not resist purchase).
Always pulled in it. I'll never part with it.

I did wear it last year for our last bike race, with opaque tights and my red Fly London boots. Felt good that day. Am a stone heavier now!

Done 5 hours of painting tonight...rush job for the museum in San Francisco. Next time I volunteer for this kind of thing, please poke me in the eye.

Fluffycloudland77 · 24/08/2018 06:43

Fucking weirdr, mines gone too. Buy them anyway in Tesco and then complain to green jinn the offers ended early. They might honour it.

Theres a big lemon tart, £7, free on checkoutsmart for Ocado.

ememem84 · 24/08/2018 06:49

I also had a pair of combat trousers. Which I wore with my “Jenny from the block” heeled timberland-esque boots.

Mine were cheapy ones from shoezone (or similar). I loved them.

I also had a thing (aged 17) for baggy jeans, poker straight hair and layered tshirts. Skater chic. Channelling avril lavigne maybe. I’ve never even tried skateboarding.

Much happier with my style now which a friend (who is in fashion dahling) describes as “Hamptons preppy”

SnugglySnerd · 24/08/2018 07:15

Ah combat trousers take me back!

I don't think I have a style anymore. If I do it's "toddler sticky chic" so generally stuff that doesn't show the marks and washes easily! I would like to be stylish but I never know what to buy.

Cagliostro · 24/08/2018 07:38

Oh I used to love my combats and skater jeans. And had a few gothy clothes too. Now I go for the style known as "whatever fits"

ememem84 · 24/08/2018 07:41

This morning im mostly digestive biscuit and party ring covered.

Party ring biscuits and a cup of tea in bed are a birthday tradition in dparents house. I made tea sorted ds asked him to write his card to dh (baby is now covered in blue pen...) and plopped him on bed with dh. Fetched presents. Dm them bustled in with presents and biscuits. Ddad came in then went to the gym.

Ds has had 2 party rings for his first breakfast. Our bed is full of crumbs.

WreckTangled · 24/08/2018 07:46

I used to have jeans that were wider at the bottom than the waist! And a t shirt that said 'fuck me in famous' ShockBlush when I was 14...

ememem84 · 24/08/2018 08:25

I also had a cheeky girls Tshirt “touch my bum this is life” and a “yes they are real” Tshirt.

What was I thinking........?!?!

Wolfcub · 24/08/2018 08:30

Very sore this morning after a lot of traveling this week. Going to see if I can walk it off this morning with dparents. May not be the best idea but at least the air won’t smell like train!
Nails brows etc later with be about £45 and then about £6 for a few pints at tea time

ScandiLady · 24/08/2018 08:58

Nsd today. Swimming lesson for dd1 later today...
Agreed with dh that if chats Monday and Tuesday don't give a job he'll contact the union for benefits.

Bowerbird5 · 24/08/2018 09:21

Going to dig up some potatoes.

My look is what fits and what i fancy wearing. sometimes leggings and top to hide the buddha belly or a long skirt and some sort of top or layers if underneath one is sleeveless. Mostly comfort clothes. Getting chillier here soon be out of t shirts etc. unless a cardi available

ScandiLady · 24/08/2018 09:28

I mostly wear dresses and with leggins in the winther....

SnugglySnerd · 24/08/2018 09:44

I am running very low on patience today after only 4 hours sleep again last night. Also realised that I'd planned sandwiches for lunch but we only have a choice of honey or Marmite which whilst delicious are not especially filling or good for us. I suppose we can all have an apple with it!

ememem84 · 24/08/2018 09:55

Full English shakshuka for breakfast here. So good. Looked a bit messy. But tasted yum!!

Fry bacon and sausages. Take out of pan. Fry onion then add tin of tomatoes and baked beans. Add bacon and sausages back. Cookfor a bit. Crack eggs into the pan. Lid on. Cook for 5 mins. Yummmm

We’re going into town today. I don’t particularly want to but it’s dhs birthday. So we will. Also none of his presents fit. So we’re exchanging.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 24/08/2018 09:57

I honestly don't know how you function on so little sleep snuggly I'd be a wreck. I went to bed at 9.30 last night and woke up at 9 this morning 😮 I think that's why I was so strict on dds sleep as a baby, I need a lot to function and no partner meant no one else to help out.

I've a day off today with not much planned, am going to drag myself out for a run as not been for ages and need to do a quick aldi shop. Does anyone know if sainsburys have 25% off their clothes atm?

Justanothermile · 24/08/2018 10:04

Grin at Buddha belly!

I had pink combat trousers. Nice.......

Wolf. Chop up two bulbs of fennel, two onions, cherry tomatoes, slice some garlic and place in a roasting dish with seasoning, rosemary if you have it and oil. Add new potatoes (I halved mine as they were large). Roast for 40/45 minutes and stir if needed.

After said time, mix in a jar of passata mixed with a small amount of water and a good spoonful of harissa paste. Pour over the veg, and add in a tin of chickpeas and black olives. Stir everything and return to the oven for 20 minutes.

I used value everything apart from home grown cherry tomatoes and rosemary.and the fennel being the most expensive ingredient. It makes loads so I've enough for lunch today.

LSD again today, just doing a home bargains hit for university stuff.

Flappyjack · 24/08/2018 10:04

PAYDAYYYYY...

Hoping for a low spend day but run out of fruit. I only have one mango and a tin of peaches left. Will investigate freezer to see what veg we have so I can avoid the shops.

Listed an old text book for £30.00. Fingers crossed it sells and quickly too.

DH taken the boys to the park so I can get on with a few things.

Justanothermile · 24/08/2018 10:06

Ah snuggly. It's such a bloody tough time this early stage. No particular advice but lots of sympathy. Did your pupils GCSE results meet expectation?

Thatsnotmybookworm · 24/08/2018 10:12

That sounds delish @em; I'm going to try that; maybe over the weekend if I have a chance to pick up some sausages; everything else is already in stock.

Are tomatoes difficult or easy to grow @JAM? We grow a few basics at home like herbs and lettuce, more DH than me to be perfectly honest, but I would love to have some homegrown tomatoes.

Payday here too; now that I'm back on full salary and no longer saving for the unpaid part of maternity leave, I need to figure out a new budget/savings targets etc.

SnugglySnerd · 24/08/2018 10:12

That sounds delicious Jam. Yes GCSE results were good thanks. Lots of relieved kids and teachers yesterday at our school!

I think both dts are teething which is why their sleep is so bad at the moment. Ds settled after a midnight dose of Calpol!
