My Ds and Dh have been playing video games together all week while I float around the place. I think it's a good arrangement. I wish we'd bought the console thing earlier tbh. It seems to be worth its weight in gold. Every time I go in the living room they seem to be discussing horse-care in minute detail. I had no idea that men even thought about horses.

TakeItSlow · 23/08/2018 08:11

I'm going on holiday today. To a different house in the same city as usual. All fingers crossed that it will be good.

Lovemaltesers · 23/08/2018 08:25

Do it snuggly, followed by a nice Brew when you wake up

Lovemaltesers · 23/08/2018 08:27

Happy holidays take. Did you not book centre Parcs in the end?

I forgot to mention that we booked CP yesterday for Easter. How did I forget that nice spendy spend Blushalthough only the deposit so far

ememem84 · 23/08/2018 08:38

snuggly I rate yoga with Adrienne. Although there’s nothing quite like a good yoga class.

SnugglySnerd · 23/08/2018 09:02

Thanks Em. Unfortunately I can't fit in any sort of class at the moment but YouTube might be a good starting point.

Love you've just reminded me to take some milk to work for a brew as there won't be any!

Cagliostro · 23/08/2018 09:09

I love Adrienne too, she is so... I dunno. Zen? :o

That positive vibes pic always makes me laugh, it has been sent in FB chat many times :o

We have broadband. Finally. I am happy. But also slightly concerned that I’ll get less done in the house with more to distract me!

ScandiLady · 23/08/2018 09:10

snuggly enjoy the childfree hours...
And good luck to those waiting exam results....
Nsd today. Will need to pack a swim bag for dd1 tomorrow. Shes so excited about starting swimming lessons...

ememem84 · 23/08/2018 09:32

Yeah cag it’s a distraction. I’m showered and dressed. I’m meant to be sitting out address changes. But. I’m pinteresting. It is only 930 afterall.

I’m sorting shit out today. And may pick some blackberries. But it’s raining.

ScandiLady · 23/08/2018 09:38

My dh just quit his job ShockShock

TakeItSlow · 23/08/2018 09:39

Love no we're sticking closer to home for now. Ds had the same virus as I did and is still not good for long car journeys.. GP says ds has mesenteric lymphadenitis which is a fantastic bit of latin I think. I am plying ds with warm baths to try and smoke it out.

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/08/2018 09:44

Good luck with exam results

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/08/2018 09:47

Wait Scandi, what?! Did you know he was going to do this? Does he have another to go to?

thistimenextsummer · 23/08/2018 09:48

Eeeek scandi Shock planned? Good news? Bad news? Exciting? Scary?

ememem84 · 23/08/2018 09:50

scandi was that expected? Hopefully yes although by the Shock maybe not!

Cagliostro · 23/08/2018 09:52

Yikes scandi are you ok?

Aaaaall my spends have come out. I am much nearer zero than normal!

Justanothermile · 23/08/2018 09:52

Blimey scandi, were you expecting this news?Shock

Wolfcub · 23/08/2018 09:55

Wreck it’s pissingn it down in London take a Brolly. Spot the frugaleer in London without one and very frizzy hair as a result

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 23/08/2018 10:35

Good luck to all the DCs collecting exam results today.

Scandi, hope you are ok.

Take have a lovely holiday.

Yesterday was a NSD, hoping for another today.

northender · 23/08/2018 10:44

Blimey Scandi I take it that wasn't expected?
Huge relief here. Ds is very happy with his GCSE results. Lower than his predicted grades set before he was ill, but better than he was expecting & easily enough to get to college. Thank you all again.

Justanothermile · 23/08/2018 10:59

That's fabulous news north, really well done to your DS. He deserves it, having been through so much.

Unluckily for DS, both he and I are at home today and I'm a 'do-er', he most certainly is not. So, I've pinned him down and he's registered to vote, bought a railcard, and signed up for his college alerts at Uni.

£70 for the railcard for 3 years. I've paid. Some bank accounts offer one with their account but the one he has offers other benefits too.

Lovemaltesers · 23/08/2018 11:08

Well done north DS Star

Shock scandi. Does he/you have a plan now?

northender · 23/08/2018 11:17

just I feel your pain! Ds only got his pic for college uploaded yesterday. I've been gently reminding him for the last couple of months...

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 23/08/2018 11:40

Yay! Well done to your DS north.

Cagliostro · 23/08/2018 11:49

Excellent north and he’s had one hell of a battle this year, brilliant ⭐️

I am so happy to have broadband. I have started catching up on EWFL! I did sort the Christmas decorations while I watched one (the one where they end up spending more because they didn’t cook, like, ever).

Frugally will use leftover sausage and peas to do a pasta thing tonight.

Does anyone have a slow cooker pulled pork recipe that isn’t too... barbecuey?
