Now that I've put that in the title, we will almost certainly get snow. LOL!

Welcome to nearly-August.

He may call you worse when he's a teenager Em Grin

R4 reckons Mark Carny has wanted to raise rates for ages so while it's not a huge shock it is going to be uncomfortable for a lot of people. There is a generation of young adults who have never known interest rates above 0.5%.

I have vague memories of another commentator saying consumer borrowing is rising, which isn't great.

£5 petrol
£21 aldi Shock
£3 lidl.

Lidl are apparently trialling a 5kg box of fruit and veg in some stores. I say apparently because it was on their facebook page.

WreckTangled · 02/08/2018 19:03

£13 Nando's for both of us. Yay for nhs discount

QuiteCleanBandit · 02/08/2018 19:26

Surprised the GP doesnt want to see you Sunny if you feel so weak you cant get out of bed, another week of this isnt going to help.
Aaah that sounds lovely and well deserved em
I love Heel Genius -often on 3 for 2 .
Poo -not good for all those on a variable rate .
Whats the betting no increase in interest on savings Hmm

BestFootForwardAndThenSome · 02/08/2018 19:38

I think she figured it was just a virus that needed time to shove off Bandit. I suppose there's not much else she could do.

Having said that, I've been experimenting with having a teeny bit of that "low salt salt" stuff that is 50% potassium chloride, and I'm wondering if that might be doing a little bit of good (touching wood now). I'm wondering if having a gastro bug for so long in such extremely hot weather has maybe sent my electrolytes a bit bonkers, and if a bit of potassium might help.

If you wouldn't mind crossing your fingers for this experiment I'd be awfully grateful. Smile

I would think rehydration drinks with correct levels of all electrolytes might be a better option.
I would expect her to assess you properly tbh Sunny
Thats a long time for a virus .

Bornlazy · 02/08/2018 19:41

DH didn't close the door properly on the freezer last night Angry so I have had to try and use up some of the things that were starting to defrost. Needed cleaned out anyway I suppose...

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/08/2018 19:55

Did you lose a lot Born?

EWFL is on soon.

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/08/2018 20:00

Boo on the interest rate rises for borrowers.

£10 millets, £15 m&s. £200 panto tickets but that will be 3 presents.

Wolfcub · 02/08/2018 20:01

EWFL klaxxon

lifelongfrugaleer · 02/08/2018 20:05

Bigger, got a blocked drain. The bath water is in the garden.

Bornlazy · 02/08/2018 20:07

Not really Fluffy made lasagne with some bolognese, but had to chuck some ice lollies. Could have been much worse.

ScandiLady · 02/08/2018 20:09

So grocery shopping done
7 £ in aldi on suncream

5 £ in rema
Should tie us over to mid next week so its fine.
Had a wonderful day at the beach. Both girls love sand and water and the water is now a whopping 25 degrees high. ..
I have sold for 72£ so fare so pleased with that.
Dd1 is wishing for roleplay outfits for Christmas. Any idea where the best and cheapest place to get that is?

Wolfcub · 02/08/2018 20:12

Do people on this programme never budget?

QuiteCleanBandit · 02/08/2018 20:19

EWFL
Another family with virtually adult DC who whine at their mother who is seemingly the only one who is capable of providing food Hmm

QuiteCleanBandit · 02/08/2018 20:21

I know Wolf
We get a takeaway once every 2 months and thats a mega treat .

Wolfcub · 02/08/2018 20:24

And why do people who only ever seem to use a microwave have nice kitchens? Jealous moi!?!

Fluffycloudland77 · 02/08/2018 20:28

I have kitchen envy. Last time I drove past Newport it was a right shit hole.

ememem84 · 02/08/2018 20:35

Probably fluffy haha

That was lucky born

Dh’s friend (ds’ godfather) came round for dinner. Ds showed of his crawling skills. Dfriend is so good with him and ds thinks he’s funny. Dfriend did crawling too. And block building.

Flappyjack · 02/08/2018 20:41

Watching EWFL too. The family seem so lovely. They are all really smiley 😁

Unfortunately, the show has made DH fancy a pizza so he has gone out to buy one from Lidl, so frugal fail for us then. Secretly hoping he brings wine.

BestFootForwardAndThenSome · 02/08/2018 20:43

Thanks Bandit. What would be a proper assessment? Maybe I could do it myself?

My dh did try to buy a rehydration drink but there were only flavoured ones and I can't do flavoured stuff, so I decided to roll my own. Or at least I poured some low salt salt onto a plate, dipped the tip of my finger in it and licked my finger. I like to live it large.

QuiteCleanBandit · 02/08/2018 20:44

Flappy Grin really suspicious of over smiley people .

£7.50 -that must have been Charlie Bigham Macaroni cheese

Flappyjack · 02/08/2018 20:49

quite I once worked with someone really smiley who never let anything get to her....until one day she had a mahoosive meltdown and threw a chair across the room. So you may have a point there.

I had a £7 macaroni cheese at a festival this year but as far as I could tell there was no cheese in it.

em what tattoo are you having done? I got money for my 30th and I'm going to get one done I've wanted for a few years!

scandi what kind of role play outfits? My dds liked a favourite character and accessories. Charity shops are great for hats/wigs. Tkmaxx do amazing dresses with hoops for around £14-20. They are beautiful. Unfortunately neither of my girls would wear them! Or if you are handy tutu dresses are v easy to make. I made several for dds all no sewing involved!

I was watching EWFL but staying in a Travelodge and dd1 wanted to sleep so turned it off for a bit to see if she can drop off.

Lsd thought I'd spend much more. £24 on lots of drinks, chip shop dinner, ice creams for dds. £2 on duck food. Added a photo of dd feeding the swans and ducks 😍

BestFootForwardAndThenSome · 02/08/2018 20:52

I'm a compulsive smiler in public. I think you probably already know what the flip side is of that. Smile
