Now that I've put that in the title, we will almost certainly get snow. LOL!

Welcome to nearly-August.

Oh em go get that chocolate! Or ltb. But chocolates cheaper.

*wreck is exactly right. He dropped the ball, is annoyed at himself and is taking it out on you. I’m sure he knows this, he knows it’s not your fault.

hes Determined he’s going to have a shit day.

I’m doing well today. Clearing loads. Eaten loads of frogs. Haha.

Lunchtime is going to be spent looking at sale stuff and maybe bras (with my voucher). And buying chocolate. Lots of chocolate. 🍫🍫🍫

Then drinks with my friend later. She’s not drinking as is on tablets so instead of our usual wine time we’re going to the juice bar.

I'm off to buy lots of ice cream but I think I'll venture into Aldi - any recommendations?

Ah, the mental load cartoon. I am sure every woman, children or not, relates to it.

This month I desperately need new work trousers, a blusher, dd1 needs new shoes (her feet grow so quickly), I always get dh a small inexpensive gift for our wedding anniversary. NSD today, apart from paying the gas and electric - £80, I need to ask our landlord if we can switch suppliers.

Cooked a chicken last night so have lunches and a couple of meals sorted. Yum.

My dh is being very nice and has stayed home today to look after ds, as my annoying virus has got worse instead of better. He also put a wash on, moved another to the tumble dryer, did the dishwasher, and has fed and is caring for ds. I just wanted to mention that as I don't high-five my dh quite as often as I should.

£4.37 in coop on snacks. Salt and vinegar squares, dairy milk, peanut butter Oreo dairy milk, Oreo dairy milk, and reeses peanut butter cups.

I also fed most of the coinage in my purse into the self pay machine.

£17.95 on Photobox for a Photobook of ds for my grandma. I’m feeling guilty for still not taking him to see her (£1000+ for a weekend for flights...) so have made her a suprise present.

£1 works stuff
£10 petrol.

Born I hate cooking too but I have allergies so if I don't then I basically don't eat. I never would have got away with fussiness as a child because it was eat it or go to bed hungry and my mum wasn't afraid to enforce that rule. I've just made cream of mushroom soup from scratch.

When I was 10 we got two kittens who immediately figured out life was one big buffet of half eaten gourmet tins & mercilessly manipulated her into providing at least two choices per meal for the next 15 years. I was still on eat it or leave it when I left home.

There is a moral in there somewhere

I'm tucking into Maltesers buttons as we speak. They are beyond addictive.

Yesterdays food shop was £74

Been shopping today. Deep breath, here goes:

£9 inflatables for us to take to the beach the weekend.
£7 hoodie primark
£15 sandals new look
£25 midi dress new look
£26 snake print top river island
£3 parking

There is so much animal print stuff around. I love it.

DM bought DS shorts and all of us drinks.

I really need some new bras too. Maybe next month.

Bandit My dh earns all the money for our family and is taking time off work to help while I'm ill, and I reckon that warrants a bit of recognition, given how much time women on MN spend slating their dhs.

I just checked my receipts and new look sandals were 16.99 not 15.

I wonder if I rounded them down in my head (while whispering 'go on Flappy treat yourself'.)

Colleague bought biscuits. Not just boring ones. Jammy dodgers. Custard creams. Bourbons. Oreos. Party rings and pink wafers. Mmmmmm. So I’m having a biscuit break.

I bought chocolate today too. Hotel Chocolat seems to be regularly putting out a load of reduced stuff that's short dated so I check now and again :o

Maybe he needs a list by the front door em? He needs to focus because this is how babies get left in hot cars all day.

I'm in desperate need of new clothes. I cant see any I like and even Karen Millen has let me down.

Sorry Bandit I misunderstood. Yes, women don't get much back-slapping either do they? I figure if I hand some out then it might be catching, and we all might talk folks up a little more. I reckon that if we go around telling our dhs when they do a great job then they'll be more motivated to live up to that ideal. I don't do it much though.

Maybe fluffy when we move he wants a “organisation station” somewhere.

Trouble is with dh, he likes the idea of organising. Just doesn’t ever do it.

He’d never leave ds in the car. Ds is far too noisy for that!

Plans have changed for this evening. Friend wants to go to the creperie. So I may have a small glass of rosé and a crepe. Woop.
