Now that I've put that in the title, we will almost certainly get snow. LOL!

Welcome to nearly-August.

Morning everyone Smile

Is NSD No Spending Day?

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/07/2018 12:36

Sneaky Yes that's right.

Good idea Lonely. I've filled out a form online with my details and when I get my referral code I will PM you. You have to let them close your old account and switch two DD. Then we get £100 each.

Then you can refer your DP and you'll be £300 better off when it's all rinsed out.

CurlsandCurves · 28/07/2018 12:38

Sneaky yep, that’s right.

Life hope you get something to help and it’s nothing too serious.

My house has been cleaned from top to bottom and I barely broke a sweat, which made a nice change! It’s lovely and sunny yet blowing a gale, perfect drying weather. DS2 is complaining it’s cold because I have all the windows open 😆.

I’ve been feeling quite low and annoyed with myself for not keeping on top of things due to the heat, so today is making me very happy.

WreckTangled · 28/07/2018 12:57

I'm going to switch banks again once I've paid off our overdraft. Then I'm never getting one again!

Ds is doing a dirt bike session with Jason Higgs. Apparently he's really impressed with his riding

ChristmasSeacow · 28/07/2018 13:42

Ooh Lonely we are just 11 miles from there! Just stoped for lunch but it took ages, as usual. I don’t think I’m going to win the argument to take a detour... Sad

ChristmasSeacow · 28/07/2018 13:44

I asked, DH scowled and said ‘you’d better be bloody quick HmmAngry’. But he didn’t say no!

LonelyOversharer · 28/07/2018 13:48

Fab seacow your dh clearly understands that a bit of knitting on the go is a way to a bit of peace! It is right there as you get off the motorway, five minutes detour, tops!

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/07/2018 13:49

You did fluffy and I should have listened. 3 days anti biotics. £8.80. also another £10 getting stuff for a corned beef pie.
Some one dh knows is living on 1 meal a day and that's noodles or some such. I'm having a baking cupboard clear out before holidays. Shame if it goes to waste eh!Wink

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/07/2018 13:51

Yeah sea and her hobby craft adventure. Be a crafting ninja. In, ask, buy, out.

ChristmasSeacow · 28/07/2018 14:05

Thank you to everyone who has seen me through this most difficult of times, and especially Lonely SadGrin

DH said ‘was this the same woman who knew where the Hobbycraft was off the A1? Does she work for them? Grin

Spends: £3.50 Wink

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/07/2018 14:17

Yeah.
Tbf the m6 would be and is better than the A1 for going north. Tis a lovely road to drive.

ChristmasSeacow · 28/07/2018 14:28

It really is! Sunny I’ll post when I can but fear that as DH doesn’t like twisty roads I’ll mostly be doing the driving when it’s really pretty. It’s a bit dingy now as it’s raining. But still so beautiful. So green! I’ve got more used to yellow landscapes down south!

QuiteCleanBandit · 28/07/2018 14:33

Hurrah! Well done Sea
Happy holiday knitting !

Is this the right time to mention that Woolwarehouse have 40%off Drops Cotton ?Grin
Have ordered some Drops Bomull Lin to make a drapey jumper.

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/07/2018 14:40

£7.50 wilko paint for the en suite. Grey skies durable finish.

I'm off thur and fri so I can do it then.

ChristmasSeacow · 28/07/2018 14:56

Ooh Bandit, Aran weight... that’d knit up nice and quick . Must not look at patterns, oh no.

It’s peeing down here. I’m afraid DH will make me drive soon... I’d like a nap first but I need dd to drop off first as her whining is keeping me awake Grin. I’ve put the nursery rhyme playlist on... this has bailed us out a few times already on this trip!

QuiteCleanBandit · 28/07/2018 15:06

😂😂😂
Yes its on 6.5mm needles -Deschain published by Quince & Co .Lovely and drapey and cost £14 .

Are you on Rav? you can look it up there .

ememem84 · 28/07/2018 15:13

Just lost a long post. Bugger.

Essentially £30 riding.

House we viewed was nice. We’re going to offer. But not until Tuesday.

I’ve signed a contract to rent a secure undercover parking space in town. Under ds Nursery. £170 a month.

mammynowanauntyIRL · 28/07/2018 15:23

I remember that about the poles in the Highlands when we were on honeymoon. It was August so they seemed rather strange! Enjoy your holiday
Life hope GP visit goes ok and you get some relief after it.

WreckTangled · 28/07/2018 15:34

Well apparently ds is naturally gifted at dirt biking and they couldn't believe how good he was. That's going to be an expensive hobby isn't it?

ChristmasSeacow · 28/07/2018 15:49

I just looked it up Quite - that’s really lovely! I think I might be too short and fat for a cropped sweater but I reeeeaaally love it 😫.

We are just heading up to Dunblane now. We’ll be going along the A9 which goes round the edges of the Cairngorms shortly. I went on a photography course in Kingussie once, it’s so beautiful round there. Still 3 hours to go... and a stop for dinner. The sun has come out but the skies are grey. The colours of the sky and landscape are wonderful, I can’t do it justice...

QuiteCleanBandit · 28/07/2018 15:53

Im doing it longer Sea Im tall and long -that would just reach my underboobs😂
Several people have -I always adjust patterns.
It would look lovely on you Im sure.

BestFootForwardAndThenSome · 28/07/2018 15:57

That sounds lovely Christmas.

Em if it helps any, my old boss used to have to pay £15 a day to park anywhere in town to get to nursery and his job. I have no idea how that was feasible. It sounds look a good idea if you can nab a parking space like that. Anything that makes life a bit more feasible in this complicated life stage has got to be good.

I'm sitting in bed looking at the internet and carefully not spending money.

OP posts:
ChristmasSeacow · 28/07/2018 16:18

Yes, could just knit it longer. I’m not sure how much yarn to allow, the yardage on that yarn is a bit more than on the pattern yarn too, so maybe that gives a bit of wiggle room. Hmm. You are putting temptation in my path. I love a good draper top.

Past Perth now. Satnav just said ‘continue for 108 miles’ (to Inverness)

BestFootForwardAndThenSome · 28/07/2018 16:30

Fantastic. Just like Peter Pan:
