Fingers crossed and big hugs love. Pleased you had a good last day at work.

More snow here. The plow has just been past my house. No doubt more sledging today.

Lovely pic need. Nice to see dpony doing so well.

Ah meadow that sounds awful. Hope the sickness passed again.

Nice jacket mammy. Pink isn't my colour so I would go grey, very versatile.

That's tricky then sea. Although I would recommend getting a sledge after this snow has passed and shops are clearing their overstock.

WreckTangled · 01/03/2018 06:43

We still have hardly any snow yet it's so cold out shower pipes have frozen so I can't wash my hair which I have to do every day or I have a big grease ball. Woe is me.

Fluffycloudland77 · 01/03/2018 06:48

Best of luck Bacon.

Dpony Is thinking fuck that, I’ll be in my stable if you need me.

I have never seen a snow plough around here.

needastrongone · 01/03/2018 06:52

We've still snow... it's still snowing....never seen this much. School closed. I'm just off to rescue the chickens Grin

Happy belated birthday wishes Moan
Thanks for the thread Em, managed to post on it at last! Thought of you this morning when it said on the news all schools in Jersey are closed.
Our family in Devon have more snow than us in Lancashire & so it will continue by the look of the forecast. Sil & family arrived yesterday & they are off to the Lakes for tonight, leaving us with dnephew, looking forward to it!
Will catch up properly later

ememem84 · 01/03/2018 07:18

This is our snow. I was wrong.

Woken this morning by catface meowing like we’d starved her for about four weeks. And also a lot of revving of engines.

Turns out twat neighbour who drives a land rover couldn’t get it out. He also runs a recovery service. Oh how I laughed. It took him 40 minutes. I woke dh up and be cane and watched too.

Stay safe and warm.

Dcat is scared of the snow .
He is an absolute bruiser -looked out the front door and Shock then he belly crawled back in and has hidden under a table Grin
I went to bed earlyish and feel so much better for it.
-5 here
Have a safe and frugal day everyone

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/03/2018 07:30

We have probably 8 ish inches now but it's drifting. The wind is fricking freezing.

Stay safe frugaleers.

Em Grin love it when a twat gets shown up

Loveabaconsandwich · 01/03/2018 07:30

We probably have half a cm of snow, and schools are all now shut Grin

DP has had to drive in to stand outside and tell everyone where he works is shut. Lucky boy. Hopefully he will be back about 9.30am

Ha ha at your neighbour em .

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/03/2018 07:31

Oh and it's still snowing.
Dh got to work but did it was a nightmare. I'm off today.

ememem84 · 01/03/2018 07:39

Catface observing the snowy carpark. I don’t think she’s seen snow before. And I haven’t posted a pic of her for a while.

The “blizzard” (or the “buzzard” as it was written on a news sign here the other day) is to drop in an hour apparently. Then rain by 8pm to melt everything then it’ll freeze overnight. Hooray...

OP posts:
Wolfcub · 01/03/2018 07:55

I’ve not caught up on the thread yet you’ve been busy overnight. Local schools all closed and we are having a bit of a blizzard at the moment. School place day today and ds had got into the local high school. Working at home today don’t think I could get the car out of the street even if I tried

Wolfcub · 01/03/2018 08:25

Love, thinking about your dad hope the op goes ahead as planned and all goes well

LonelyOversharer · 01/03/2018 08:26

wolf was that your choice school? (I don't do 1st choice, for us it was that school or none). Such a relief when you get the news ins't it? they get much cheekier and brave once in high school

So far the cat has gone for dd3. They are best mates, but he needs to do his rounds, and he is smaller than the snow. I gave him a time out on the front step (while I went to the loo), he was very very cross when I let him back in.

Still snowing here. We will get the big car dug out later, and see if we can get to the village. 1) We have 3 pints of milk left. 2) We have about 6 cups of coffee left in the jar, and 3) Dd1 is still marooned at my parents (she is safe, very warm, and is keeping an eye on them as well).

Yay on no more commutes love

Morning all, dds school is shut which I'm a bit annoyed about as we have about 0.5cm of snow 😂 on the plus side I'm still bed!!

Will continue with house sorting today, maybe go for a wintery walk at some point.... will have to get the sledge out for dd.

mammymammyIRL · 01/03/2018 09:31

-6 when I was driving to work this morning and I left about 15 mins earlier than usual and because only a mile of my 9 mile journey was any way suspect I arrived 15 mins early and did the recycling on the way.

Little bit of a dusting in patches along the road but nothing too bad.

I suspect we'll be going home from work around 2pm though reading between the lines when my boss was talking to me earlier.

lifelong I'm thinking the grey beige is a bit insipid though.

love hope operation goes ahead and is a success Flowers

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/03/2018 09:39

mammy I'm being stalked around the internet by it and I'm swinging more to the pink now. Would do all seasons I think whereas grey is more autumnal/winter.
Go pink.

needastrongone · 01/03/2018 09:51

It's a pathetic attempt at lack of style in my opinion lifeGrinGrin

I've used the time to make some of lonely's flapjack, with added cranberry.

Bought a cheap pair of scales for amazon (mine broke yesterday so flapjack was a bit of a guess)

Also bought a runner for the Hall.

I remember school placement day, best day of my life hugely unexpectedly getting DS into the school they go to.

Thinking of your dad loveThanks

lifelongfrugaleer · 01/03/2018 10:09

I know I should be shamed. Will try harder later with my thermal trousers, fleece and big dog walking coat. Grin

Pleased you got the school wolf.

ememem84 · 01/03/2018 10:40

we are absolutely having an indoors day. Ds has just woken up from a nap and I’ve used naptime to finish my tax form.

Wasn’t sure if I should (or indeed where I should) include my Maternity allowance so have added it to the “notes” section. Have also made them aware I’m not working until 1 May so no tax will be paid. Must go in and speak to them. A job for next week I suppose.

I'm 9 pages behind. I hope everything's going well for everybody.

We're having brilliant snow here, and I'm still making videos which is great fun. We went ten pin bowling last night and had a thoroughly good time, and knocked down lots of pins.

ememem84 · 01/03/2018 13:04

sunny I haven’t been bowling for ages. I’m rrrrrrrubbish at it though. I have to have the rails up to even be in with a chance of hitting the pins!

Have just organised wardrobe and have managed to declutter more stuff. Hoorah. So another charity shop bag is ready to go. Yippee!

We’ve taken a step closer to selling. A management company is being appointed! Hoorah! I doubt it’ll go through next Friday. But maybe the week after.
