I’ve cooked Mexican food this evening. It’s on the table. Waiting for dh to come home.

He is late. Again. I am so annoyed. I called him at 635. He’s missed the bus.

He called me 10 minutes ago wanting a lift. Ds is sleeping. So I said no. Plus it’s freezing. Dh didn’t take his coat to work. Because he’s an idiot.

Em I would eat my share and make a plate for dh. I remember a lot of this from dh when ds was little although it was usually fell asleep on bus and got lost. It gave me the rage

Forgot to mention that the middle diamond fell out of my engagement ring this morning so I will have to pay for that to be repaired

WreckTangled · 28/02/2018 19:05

Gah em tell him that one child is enough right now you don't another one Hmm imagine not wearing a coat! It's bloody freezing.

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/02/2018 19:11

Sea Err, no idea. Steep as and with a bend, I think the bend is the killer. Dh just moved my car off the road and said it only just managed it. He’s motor trade and good at this sort of thing. Some poor sods just reversed out in only 10 minutes and nearly took next doors Audi out twice.

Wreck Biscuit is a site foreman on the side.

Life Issu app has food magazines. If you have the waitrose card I think that’s free online but it’s probably free for everyone anyway.

SnugglySnerd · 28/02/2018 19:11

It's snowed on and off her all week but not accumulated. I'm not too disappointed although I wouldn't mind a day off work. I've been back 2 days, I need a break!

Loveabaconsandwich · 28/02/2018 19:33

em at your DH not taking a coat 😂

Home from my last commute Smile

I was truly loved today. Got some lovely gifts and a colleague bought my lunch. My colleague who doesn’t like many people or do social gatherings came to my leaving lunch as well as the Chief boss. Honoured I was Grin

ememem84 · 28/02/2018 20:03

wreck please get a hat for biscuit. A little hard hat and a hi vis vest.

wolf I ate my share. And then a bit more. I had hot garlicky chicken in wraps with lovely spicy Home made salsa, spinach, red peppers, mayo and hot lovely sweet potato fries.

Mmmmmmmmm.

Grin at wreckedcat.

We have been badly hit with snow and it's coming down again at the minute. Took me 2 hours to get to work this morning, usually takes 20 minutes. All schools shut. I parked my 4x4 on the drive, reversed on like a pro down the hill onto it, DH goes and moves it when he uses it and parks up the street!!

Not as bad as Scotland though.

Here is the pony, we only let him out to muck out today and he's at the gate wanting back inGrin

I ran in it, a few of us hardcore folk went off road earlier.

Glad you had a lovely last day love.

Happy Birthday moan.

Spends were
£27 Aldi - I keep meaning to mention that their Cravendale dupe is actually Cravendale, the staff told me. Included toothbrushes, dog shampoo, a posh candle for DM who managed to fall over and get a black eye.
£5 dd class, proud she didn't wimp out and went tonight.

needastrongone · 28/02/2018 20:10

Pictures never post from the iPad, I don't know why?

Lovely kitty Wreck. Looking very regal!

Em Omg, how could he go to work without his coat in this weather?! Shock. Also, I love mexican food. I am not surprised you are annoyed, I would be too.

Feeling particularly grim today. Vomited this morning before work and spent the morning at feel with awful nausea and then it's come back just before and been sick a bit again, bleurgh. I get irrationally anxious when I'm sick now because it only happens occasionally but then I get like flashbacks to when I was stuck on the sofa for 2 months being sick all the time and I get terrified it will just suddenly turn into that again which I know is silly as that's highly unlikely. I genuinely get these weird flashback memories now and then to when I was so ill with the HG and it makes me feel super anxious it's horrible. One of the worst periods of my life so far, shudder.

Anyway spends today was like £2 on grapes and a can of pop to go with my lunch in my work canteen. The amount of sugar I'm consuming atm is ridiculous but I'm just hungry all the time and want sweet stuff Confused. Trying to make some of it fruit at least that has vitamins and fibre in it. I like quite a lot of fruit but unfortunately if someone put a piece of fruit or a chocolate bar in front of and I had to pick one I'd always want the choc!!

needastrongone · 28/02/2018 20:12

I also made HFW fragrant Veg 'stoup' for tea. Good for you in spades and frugal too. He's my new best friend for sureSmile

Need Lovely pony pic!! Bless him wanting to come in!

needastrongone · 28/02/2018 20:16

Wish I could post the video meadow,he has a quick roll then trotted to the gate to go back to his stable Grin

needastrongone · 28/02/2018 21:03

We've got frightening amounts of snow nowShockShock

ememem84 · 28/02/2018 21:09

meadow craving sweet things huh? I did that. Ended up buying a huge box of hair I strawbs from amazon and a multi multi pack of skittles. Apparently if you crave sweet things it’s a boy....

I also started liking things I’d previously hated and seem to have kept these up - avocados and porridge being two.

Dh is a silly. That’s for sure.

The snow is due to flomph down at about midnight. I’m still dubious it will happen.

Amazon have sent an email re my wrong item. They want me to return the item and have already processed my £50 refund once they receive the item it’ll hit my account. The bag was only £25....I’m not pointing out their mistake tonight.

SnugglySnerd · 28/02/2018 21:21

Sorry you were sick today meadow. The flashbacks sound awful. Take care.

Great pony pic Need.

I've eaten so much cake this week so far. I think the sleep deprivation/back at work/cold weather combo is causing sugar cravings. Tomorrow I need to get some veggies down me. Most unlike me not to get at least my 5 a day. I've only managed about 2 and a bit today.

I keep thinking about a homeless man I saw near our local shops yesterday. I had to rush to an appointment but had intended to buy him something hot to eat. He'd gone when I'd finished at the doctors. I've seen a lot more rough sleepers in the last few months. I hope they are all ok in this awful weather.

mammymammyIRL · 28/02/2018 21:28

Need love your pony he's gorgeous, when I walk on the lane way my db and dsil live 2/3 horses come to meet me at their gate. Look forward to seeing them each time I visit.

I've got work tomo, think I'll be home mid afternoon. Red weather warning & our competitors are closed all day tomorrow and fri.

Bacon happy leaving day

In my birthday post yesterday was €20 from my aunt, I've bought Nailtiques Formula 2 set as recommended in an article by indulgeme.ie, free delivery over €23 I spent €24.70. Beautybay.com.

Dm sent me €40 in a card today

H&M gave me 25% off one item for my birthday so I've semi decided on this jacket in mole or grey beigee* it's €60 so will cost me €5 of my own money Grin

There were lots of scratch cards so three Star's, free ticket and €2 all on ones that dd scratched.

I had no other spends today

Wolfcub · 28/02/2018 21:31

Home. Horrid drive from the station nearly got tboned and then came within a thumbsworth of hitting the house because the street never gets bloody gritted. It’s not even deep. A big lorry was reversing into the factory down the road, blocking the road like the cross on a letter t his wheels were just spinning in place like roulette wheels. .

ememem84 · 28/02/2018 21:57

I’ve had a message from an eBay seller. Do I mind if they post my item at the weekend because of the snow...? Er no. No I don’t.

Tomorrow (if it snows) has been designated an indoors day for ds and I.

Stay safe and warm y’all

Cag parcel should be incoming .
I dont think its ever been this cold, huge Icicles hanging from roof and car.

Feel exhausted as struggled to stay on my feet/keep my balance today
Huffy woman with rubbish footwear huffed at me,went tearing past and promptly slipped over karma
Love my Merrell snowboots .
Snowed under and so now the trains are running !

Moanranger · 28/02/2018 22:22

Thanks to all Frugaleers for birthday wishes. Feels more authentic than FB!
DP & I went to a film this afternoon, then dinner this evening, DD sent lovely flowers, DP gave me 6L of San Pellagrino in glass bottles. A lovely day.
LSD - movie on Cineworld vouchers, so £1 booking fee &£1.20 parking.

Re spending addiction : now I understand this, I feel more at peace. My financial situation is a matter of numbers in & numbers out, & not under my control. What I CAN control is my reactions, and to some extent my feelings. Realising the issue is the pain of going cold turkey on addictive spending, not financial position. This helps a lot.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 28/02/2018 23:15

I have had a busy evening sorting and cleaning, have decided to give dd my desk which normally resides in the living room. It makes sense as she needs it more than I do but now got to work out what to do with the living room 😩

need love the pic! Wow at all the snow, I'm still dubious we will get any. ...

meadow sorry you had a rubbish morning, I totally know what you mean about the fear though. I had a very sweet tooth and bad jelly baby habit when pregnant with dd...... 😉

Well done on surviving two days back at work, are the twins at nursery?

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 28/02/2018 23:17

Sorry last comment was for snuggly I need to go to bed!

ChristmasSeacow · 01/03/2018 00:38

Life I haven’t got a sledge sadly. Mind you, there is no way DS would share the space with dd anyway, he doesn’t like her much at the mo because she grabs at him.

Flashbacks sound a bit grim Meadow but hopefully the memories will fade over time.

Friend postponed dinner because she didn’t want to drive in the snow (her road was not gritted at all) so I stayed in and spent £150 on Ocado. That includes £30 birthday present for SIL (naice pan for eggs as requested) and loads of food for a lunch party on Saturday. Also got to bake cookies for the pta tomorrow so lots of ingredients needed. Expensive though Shock. Eggs and butter have really got expensive. It costs me much more to make naice cakes than to buy them. Seems daft but hm quality is usually better and with no additives.

Loveabaconsandwich · 01/03/2018 05:44

When I peeked out the window at 4am, no snow. Now we have snow!

The HT at DPs work texted him 10 mins ago to ask if he’d heard from the caretaker yet. Errr, no most normal people are still asleep!

The world is actually going to grind to a halt here!

My dad’s operation is this morning. Please keep him in your thoughts today, and I do hope they don’t cancel. He was getting quietly anxious the other day
