EEeeeeeerrrmeeeeeegggaaahhhhhhhd wreck that looks delish!!!!!

House move update. Lawyer says it’s not happening next Friday. He joked that if by some miracle it does he’ll waive our fees....

Realistically he thinks 16 March. Which isn’t so bad.

Today’s cash money spends £10.10 on a mamas and papa’s “bumbo” chair. Not a bumbo brand. But same same.

Ds wasn’t sure at first. But seems to like it. Usually £35.10 but I had a £25 gift card. Woop.

Also £32 in boots. Again all gift cards.

His new sleeping bags have arrived from amazon. One of them is the wrong design 😭 it doesn’t really matter I suppose but I’m going to complain anyway. I wanted sharks goddammit. Not circus animals.

So much chocolate em and honeycomb mmmm

ememem84 · 28/02/2018 12:57

oh good lord. I'm dribbling here.

i was very good and had lunch at home. roast chicken, cheese and spinach sandwich. toasted. a coffee and a huge glass of squash.

have just emailed amazon to make them aware that they've sent the wrong sleeping bag. it isn't really a bit deal as both are the same size and price, but its not what i wanted, and they didn't make me aware of any issues with the order. I'm hoping they send me the correct one and let me keep the incorrect one cheeky

two loads of washing have been done. ds is napping. i may tackle my tax form.

I have been very good and renewed my home insurance (4 days to run out), I actually took my renewal at £171, the closest compare the meercat could come was £221. But instead of lump sum I'm paying monthly, will cost me £2/month to do this, but I did not want it on my credit card. Figured it would cost more than £24 in interest over life of balance sitting at the end of a maxxed 7k card.

Now I want to make rocky road! But no biscuits/matlesers/crunchies in. And no way of getting out. I went over my wellies in the front garden getting the litter tray, as the cat was howling. He went straight in it!

AdoraBell · 28/02/2018 13:55

DH has finally got his head around switching energy suppliers. He’s the type who thinks staying with the same bank for 40 plus years is still a good thing.

Should save around £500 a year. He’s also looking at switching internet Shock

That looks lush Wreck

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/02/2018 14:14

Adora Well don’t stop him now, the mans clearly on a roll. Tell him to put you as joint account holder & then you can switch it yourself.

£5 prosecco for the weekend.
£10 petrol.

His royal furriness approves of wilko cat litter. Half the cost of my old one.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 28/02/2018 15:15

lonely so much snow! We had a tiny bit last night but apparently going to get some proper snow tonight! It only ever snows about once a decade here so will be quite exciting, dd is desperate for snow!

Happy birthday moan 🍰🍰🍰

wreck that looks amazing, I'm drooling! !

I've had a nice and quite productive morning, it's been eye wateringly expensive though...

Here goes;
£15 school dinners
£30 towards school trip
£95 easter holiday club
£5 post office
£32 in boots on my nice face creams, they were on 3 for 2 and should last me ages.
£2 charity shop
£5 lunch
£7 in morrisons, more plants - I think I need a self help group for plant addiction 😐
£60 boycats insulin, should last 4 months.
£12 cat biscuits

God writing all that down makes me feel a bit sick!

Have gone through finances and worked out a budget for the month, I'm still spending too much on food so def looking to improve that this month.

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/02/2018 15:19

I got to work and it was the best 8-830 journey in ages cos all schools closed.
Roads are clear now but more forecast tonight.
Nsd though so bonus.

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/02/2018 15:19

Happy birthday moan

Fluffycloudland77 · 28/02/2018 16:07

Our road has an inch of snow at most and the roads fucked. I’ve just watched an Audi RS4 slide down the road diagonally & I’m sure my cars slipped backwards on the pavement.

I can still see the brick paving through the snow Confused

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/02/2018 16:28

We got 5 ish inches this morning. More overnight tonight. Shrugs

Had a good laugh at a tosser showing off in his rear wheel drive car. Oh how I laughed when he lost it. Knob

ememem84 · 28/02/2018 16:33

SCHools are closed here tomorrow.

Dsis is excited (teacher).

Dm and df are concerned how I’m going to cope with ds in the snow. They just popped round with bread milk eggs and cheese. Result. I have told them that I’ll cope as I do every day. Just get on with it....

Snow day here. It's quite bad in my part of the country. We've all been told to stay indoors between 4 p.m. tomorrow and 12 noon on Friday due to blizzards. The schools closed today and will stay closed until Monday. We've lots of food so we'll be ok for a few days. It's coming down heavy at the moment but the flakes are tiny - not those big fluffy flakes.

Spends - €20 for a big bag of coal from a fuel truck in case the power goes.

ChristmasSeacow · 28/02/2018 16:56

Happy birthday Moan

Blimey Fluffy what gradient are you on?

We’ve just had a couple of inches overnight but a bit more today and it’s stuck around. My biggest problem is pushing the buggy in snow - it’s a workout! I have to go out for the school run (no closures here) and it’s about 20 mins each way normally. More like 30 on the way there this arvo (uphill and in snow) and almost an hour on the way back (trying to herd DS who has just got the idea about snowballs Hmm). It’s fine unless it gets too deep for the pram. In that event the roads would be a nightmare too so I’d have to walk with dd in a sling. I’d be really worried about falling over while carrying her... but I’ll cross that bridge if I come to it. We’re forecast a bit of a warmer day tomorrow, so it’ll probably turn to slush, then snow again Friday. It’s a bit inconvenient but I’m pleased for DS who’s 5 and hasn’t really seen snow since his first Christmas, which he won’t remember. He’s loving it.

NSD so far but only because I forgot I needed eggs. I asked DH to get some. I have to pay the deposit for our holiday today (£200) and I'm also out tonight for dinner with a friend, so I expect that will be about £20-30.

Ooh, I also need to order some photos if I get the chance. Seeing PILs this weekend but I’ve left it a bit late for delivery of prints I think Confused.

I love watching the snow fall from inside a warm house! Might have a brew Brew

ChristmasSeacow · 28/02/2018 16:59

Life that’s a lot of magazines. I used to get a couple, now just one food mag a month. It’s a real treat...

WreckTangled · 28/02/2018 16:59

Still no snow here 😭😭

tinyradish · 28/02/2018 17:12

None at all wreck? Shock you're safe from the chaos at least!

Spent £3 on lunch because it was curry day & who can resit curry? Curry, rice, nan & chutney so not bad.

Also £14ish for travel insurance for both dh & I for a short trip next month.

WreckTangled · 28/02/2018 17:39

We had snow flurries yesterday but nothin settled

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/02/2018 17:45

Sea have you got a sledge? Can you put baby and child in the sledge and walk?

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/02/2018 17:47

Big snow flakes here, schools already reporting closures for tomorrow.
I know I ended up getting 3 per month. And a big pile of ripped out recipe. I'm going back through then as sick of reading the same stuff. don't mention the recipe books

Stay safe in the snow

Wolfcub · 28/02/2018 17:55

On they way home, or at least trying to be. Left the office over 3 hours ago and still haven’t got to the first stop on the east coast mainline ☹️ Hey hum!
Happy birthday Moan Cake

Love the baby feeding stories, I really don’t miss the mess though but I swear ds ate with more manners at 6 months than he does now!

Paid another £200 off the holiday. Two months left to pay it all off.

Have done all banking and budgets etc today as it’s payday

Ocado delivered shopping to dh and ds thins morning yay so we will have food when I get home

WreckTangled · 28/02/2018 17:55
