Here for 28 NSD and counting how much is left at the end of the month

Spent £2.65 on coffee with a friend today, classing as essential spend as hadn't seen her for a while. Managed to resist having a cake too. Was very tempted to nip out for wine tonight but settled for drinking the beer I already had. And in bed already as feeling exhausted.

Littlechocola · 21/02/2018 22:23

Adora pretty certain as I’ve been tracking it for the past few months. I’ll look online tomorrow to see if it matches. It’s so depressing. I got my wage slip today and despite working nights and a few overtime’s it’s still disappointing.

Itis6oclocksomewhere · 22/02/2018 10:22

No spend Feb is not working out for me. Hoping this last week improves but I'm not holding much hope for that.
Roll on no spend March!

Gah81 · 22/02/2018 12:32

NSD yesterday and hopefully another one today. Payday tomorrow and will actually have some money left over this month to put into my savings account. Which I am pretty sure I could not have done without this thread!

NSD but only because I literally have no money left in my account due to paying off my credit card ...but that's a good thing I know ! Pay day tomorrow so I'll continue with the no spend until I've saved a bit more..have vets bills for March though plus just too many outgoings!!!

Chimichangaz · 22/02/2018 22:29

Spent money on health (£26 on Dentist, eye drops), food (£4.50), car wash £5. However, I have checked my budget and I'm on course to spend £160 on groceries this month compared with an average of £215 (not counting December when I spent £400!! Shock). Really pleased with that, and I know I wouldn't have done it without the inspiration from this thread Thanks

I spent too much today. Ugh. Annoyed at myself, but at the same time my daughter deserved a few treats today, and the other bits were in the sale and will be required in a few months time. So it would be stupid to not buy them cheaply now and spend more later in the year.
I need to focus again next month though.

ivykaty44 · 24/02/2018 07:14

I have had a pretty good week, Monday - Friday we’re NSD but I made a contribution to leaving present at work & flowers for a sick colleague.

My biggest gain from January was getting out of the habit of takeaway coffee by switching to latte sachets. I purchased a box on Monday in M&S and the cost is £2.50 for 8 whereas I was purchasing 1 takeaway coffee at that price 4-5 times a week so a saving

I’m also being much more vigilant in dishing up an extra portion at dinner to pop in the fridge for lunch the next day - it saves time and money on lunches

NSD yesterday. Out of my £££ online shopping I’m keeping a £45 dress and £40 blazer.

Gah81 · 24/02/2018 09:21

Well, yesterday we had dinner at my favourite restaurant to celebrate my promotion (yay!). Today I am seeing friends for brunch and then dinner but then tomorrow should be a NSD.

chickenowner · 24/02/2018 10:57

Yesterday was a good spend day - free trip to the cinema (free tickets when you update membership), spent £2.20 on a coffee in the cafe where I sat and read for an hour before the film.

I didn't pay for parking - I parked 10 minutes away and walked.

We also don't need much shopping again this weekend as we have a lot left over. We're just going to get a few fresh vegetables.

Although yesterday and today are not NSDs I'm still spending a lot less than I used to. It's good to be more aware of money and what I actually need.

pinkroseapp · 24/02/2018 13:31

Spent £1.97 in Aldi, £1.58 in card factory for ds’ classmate’s birthday party tomorrow. Got paid on Friday however credit card bill is due on Monday and that will not leave much for me to spend for March.😰

mamapants · 24/02/2018 18:47

Haven't updated in a while.
Very few nsds.
Have bought a book, diesel, new phone as mine broke, school swimming money, veg man paid and half a holiday paid.
Today I've bought some new jeans for me, pyjamas for ds1.
Will check balances later as I've just been paid.

chickenowner · 25/02/2018 15:00

NSD for me today.

I've been catching up on housework plus made a loaf of bread (so much cheaper than buying a nice loaf from a bakery) and some biscuits.

Settling down now to netflix and knitting. Smile

Gah81 · 25/02/2018 15:07

NSD today - apart from weekly shop.

Also discovered yesterday I had some Freedom Points which I was able to use to buy a clothes steamer from Amazon which I had been after for ages.

Am quite pathetically excited to use it tonight on some blouses :)

mamapants · 26/02/2018 15:33

Spent £10 yesterday on a picnic but the activity was free.
£37 today on food.
Sorted my accounts today and had record amounts to put into savings this month.
Helped by no council tax.
Next month will be expensive I think .need to pay the rest of holiday accommodation. And need to decide whether to renew membership to local kids play park or not. Am dithering.

chickenowner · 26/02/2018 16:26

Another NSD today!

Gah81 · 26/02/2018 18:12

Well done mamapants on the saving! This month sees DP birthday plus the last of the vet’s bills.

NSD today - got a heavily discounted Indian meal at Sainsbury's yesterday so that is tonight’s cheap dinner :)

NSD today, DH bought coffee.

mamapants · 27/02/2018 10:42

I'm snowed in so as long as I stay away from the internet it will be a nsd.
