Gone a bit off track the last week, treated DD1 to some stuff while we were out and about over half term, only to the tune of around £25 and then she's had a couple of parties where i've had to buy gifts and cards.

Also bought some bits of new clothes for me, go back to work after Mat Leave (thank god a proper payday is on the horizon!) this week so needed to smarten myself up a little.

This week should in theory be better, will go back to tracking and checking in every day to keep myself on the straight and narrow! Today at least was an NSD.

AdoraBell · 18/02/2018 22:59

Been out, cinema, DH paid for that so I’ve spent £19 Shock on drinks and popcorn and the most frugal coffees after in a nearby place that was 10 mins from closing. The bloke charged me .74p instead £7.40 but CBA rectifying it.

GreenTulips · 18/02/2018 23:32

Good news ...... I won £25 on the lottery! Yeah! DD can have her shoes for work experience ....

chickenowner · 19/02/2018 14:51

NSD yesterday.

Today - £20 for a dental check up and about £100 at Costco. (£200 between 2 of us). However these food items and household products will last us for at least 6 weeks, so worth it!

Well done greentulips!

PirateYellowbelly · 19/02/2018 19:25

NSD today. Back to work after half term which is good for my bank account!

totallyLosingIt · 19/02/2018 22:57

ESD today as I needed to get some food in. Of course I ended up perusing the middle aisles in Lidl and picked up a (very reasonably priced) jacket for DD. It's money I don't really want to be spending, but she could do with a raincoat for the spring, so I would have had to spend at some point (and better to spend £6.99 now than more in the future).

totallyLosingIt · 19/02/2018 22:59

100% up for a no spend March too!
I reckon I've saved about £200 this month, which I am really pleased with as am on measly maternity pay money and usually get to the end of each month with nothing left in the bank (even when I am earning my full wage, somehow).

Littlechocola · 20/02/2018 01:04

£4.50 spent on a record today.

Chimichangaz · 20/02/2018 05:50

Yesterday I spent £9 on new stationery, £6 on a birthday present, £1 on groceries and £23 on a meal with friends. Most of that was to cheer myself up. Planning a NSD today although I may need car parking later for an appointment. Tomorrow I'm meeting friends for coffee but other than that no spends planned.
Although I've still spent money this month it has been much more mindful spending than I usually do, which I'm pleased with.

mamapants · 20/02/2018 13:04

Spent £32 on top up shop.
And I caved and paid my £50 parking ticket.
Still going to be ending the month well, with money to put in savings, unless I go crazy in next few days.

pinkroseapp · 20/02/2018 13:48

Spend £30 in Aldi today, go NSD tomorrow. Managed to save £58 in January, that is after paid for house insurance, TV license, 2 years car service and MOTs plan and a crown on my tooth (over £300). So I guess it was not too bad😃.

PirateYellowbelly · 20/02/2018 19:06

NSD today again although just remembered that I signed up to buy two books through the book people at work. Intended birthday gifts for DS so I feel I can justify that.

NSD today, yesterday I spent a couple of hundred on line shopping for a jacket, funeral on Friday, but most of the monetary value will be going back. I only need 1 jacket, obvs, but needed to order lots in the hope of getting one that works.

totallyLosingIt · 20/02/2018 21:59

I took DD shopping today. We traipsed the charity shops in a local town. I spent >£5 and came away with a few bits of clothing and a new toy each for the kids so I'm happy with that.

totallyLosingIt · 20/02/2018 22:00

That should be

GreenTulips · 20/02/2018 23:48

Just dis the dreaded 'check balance before payday'

First one in months I'm not overdrawn by £250 - and am in fact £189 'up' with a couple of bills come out tomorrow! So all good!

Apart from the boiler - but we can't have everything!

AdoraBell · 20/02/2018 23:51

Yay GreenTulips

GreenTulips · 21/02/2018 00:05

Thank you!

I should also add that I've been chasing for the excess I paid for a car accident and the cheque arrived today for £100 (plus my £25 lottery win) and my car insurance has dropped by £60 !!!

pinkroseapp · 21/02/2018 16:13

Paid for 10 litres of petrol £12, that’s all for today.

Littlechocola · 21/02/2018 20:45

I just went to buy tea bags and petrol and my card was declined! Yet again I have run out of money. Absolutely no chance of saving if I can’t make it through the month. I have an electric bill to pay as soon as I’m paid. Grrrr

AdoraBell · 21/02/2018 20:56

Littlechocola are you certain of where every pound is going?

More £££ spent tonight, need bigger sizes Blush I’ll post the actual Spend once all rejects are returned.
