Quite nice weather here as we are not in the path.

Welcome choc :)

Today is going to be very unproductive I think

mammymammyIRL · 16/10/2017 09:55

Cag you deserve an unproductive day after yesterday. I think I'll be tidying my room & playroom.

mammymammyIRL · 16/10/2017 09:55

Will start playroom while they're in bath Grin

SnugglySnerd · 16/10/2017 10:15

I'm having an unproductive day. I sat down with a cup of tea and hour ago and haven't moved since.

Apparently it costs £2500 to have a tooth out under GA. That's a lot isn't it?

Pinkpeppermintteaforme · 16/10/2017 11:21

I think its the anaesthetic Sunny
Anaesthetist,theatre,theatre staff .
I was quoted 3K 😑

Cagliostro · 16/10/2017 11:48

Yikes 😱💸

I am now the proud owner of another blood glucose monitor. Who'd have thought I'd get two in a month 😬 They didn't ask for the old one back either but I guess they can't reuse it anyway.

Flu jab done, on way home to attempt cooking lunch before packing a bag of stuff to do in case of long waits at clinic! And back out on the 2.30 bus

SunnyLikeThursday · 16/10/2017 11:56

Yes I suppose so Pink. Being grown up is not at all the way I expected it would be. Who would have thought that having teeth and children was so expensive?

Pinkpeppermintteaforme · 16/10/2017 12:31

Teeth and children sums up where my money is going atm Sunny😂😂😂

Cant get rid of either tho !

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/10/2017 13:06

£2 cash back for pumpkins on topcashback.

I'm thinking soup??

SunnyLikeThursday · 16/10/2017 13:13

Glad it's not just me Pink. Smile

Does anybody know what a person needs to do to get a cold to go away quickly? Do you think a choc ice in bed would be a good thing or a bad thing?

Ds has a cold and I'm eager to get it fixed, but a day off school would incur the wrath of The School System, which is of course best avoided.

SnugglySnerd · 16/10/2017 13:18

I think they just have to run their course Sunny but I'm sure a choc ice in bed wouldn't hurt!

It is so dark here today I've put the lights on. According to other threads on here today it's dust from the Sahara.

sunny I’m a believer in feeding a cold. For me I tend to drink a ton of water/hot squash/tea and take vitamin c and echinacea if you have it.

Baby group was nice. Met new people, and “old” people who I went to school with. £1.75 coffee.

Stopped in M&S for fruit £10.65.

Now Home - were having lunch. I was clever and made my lunch before I sat down to feed dh. Clever face.

Very wierd Sky here. Dark and tempestuous.

Cagliostro · 16/10/2017 13:23

I think they say starve a fever feed a cold don't they? Old wives tale I guess but interesting anyway.

I have a usual set of things for a cold: spicy food, crisps (scratch an itchy throat), hot squash with honey. It's difficult when your DS has food sensitivities though :( so I'd probably just go with whatever he can stomach TBH. Apparently garlic is good.

Cagliostro · 16/10/2017 13:25

Ha x post! I do feel hungry when I have a cold TBF. It was harder this time as I was so restricted re sugar etc but maybe that was a good thing Blush

Also the weirdest thing that helped this time was melting some jelly cubes/powder and drinking it hot. Read it on MN and omg it works. Soooo soothing

Pinkpeppermintteaforme · 16/10/2017 14:26

Hopefully em you were feeding DS not DH Wink
I got very good at eating and feeding at the same time.
Its really warm here but the sky is glowing very strangelyConfused

ememem84 · 16/10/2017 14:27

Bahahahahabaha!!! pink yes ds not dh!!! Hahahahahaha

Pinkpeppermintteaforme · 16/10/2017 14:29

Colds
Keep warm, plenty of hot ribena and spicy herbal tea.
Wierdly I only get a cold about once every 2 years but if I do it slaughters me .
Gp thinks its to do with a strong immune system reacting -which is why I always have the flu jab.

Pinkpeppermintteaforme · 16/10/2017 14:29

Cag Garlic would also work for vampires. I wonder if they make garlic choc ice? Kill two birds with one stone.

mammymammyIRL · 16/10/2017 14:52

Dc bathed separately so no playroom done Angry. Have played with ds's games this morning & now it's dh's turn. I'm going to make a start on my bedroom from the corner with the least mess right around to the crazy corner BlushShock

Cagliostro · 16/10/2017 14:52

Hmmm maybe ask Heston Blumenthal (or however you spell it) - sounds like the kind of thing he'd make :o

On way to scan now and we finally have the weird looking sky. Caglets are fascinated!

mammymammyIRL · 16/10/2017 14:55

Enjoy scan cag I'm going to enjoy my new pink album while I clean/declutter/tidy my room Grin
