8 apartments? Wow it must be bad!

Yep. Not just for the noise. For leaving buggys outside in the hallway (not allowed) washing machines on at anti social times (not allowed) kids running up and down stairs knocking on doors (not allowed) stuff hanging out of windows (not allowed) etc etc

In good news though tenant has been warned not to approach any of us. And she wants to move out. Hoorah.

Frugal question. Who do you insure your cats with? Catface is currently with petplan. But they've sent me a renewal and it's actually more than I could get if I got a new policy with them....
Thinking of shopping around.

Spends today £6,050 into pension ShockSmile

£6.87 at coop for bread squash cereal bars bin bags and a bottle of water for my desk.

£59 next voucher for dh for his birthday

£8.50 paperchase on gift wrap a bottle bag and a card (from catface to dh). #sad

thewaitresses · 23/08/2017 13:51

Good luck life - hope you've found something distracting to do!

Em I love that catface has bought your dh booze! 😸

Huge shopping bill - £107 in Aldi - I've stocked up massively on formula and nappies and we've bought some supplies for being away with family this weekend. The baby event is on and they have 360 sippy cups for £2.49.

I'm trying so hard to get our spends within budget. It's not going to happen again this month but I'm pleased that our eating out spends has massively reduced (think we've only had one take-away and a few sandwich grabs but no actual dinners out) so small victories.

ememem84 · 23/08/2017 14:35

waitress she's bought him gin. It's a thing he started on my birthday last year. I had a card saying "happeee burfday mummee luv [catface*]" and a new tea mug.

For Christmas she bought us each gifts too #crazycatparents

Cagliostro · 23/08/2017 14:53

Em they say when a new baby arrives you should get any young siblings a present "from the baby" to help them bond. Maybe baby boy should get catface a new mousie :)

Any idea how long the Aldi baby event runs for? We have a new one across town, bit of a PITA to get to but would definitely try it in the interest of baby stuff!

I am in such a shit mood today! I feel PMT style rage! 😡😡😡 This would be prime takeaway ordering day but there's a pizza in the oven for the Caglets to share and I've got my last lentil stew out of the freezer for myself (DH is working late). However that doesn't solve the issue that I have no chocolate or cake or anything. I'm tempted to order Pizza Hut just for the cookie dough...

Aldi do free mail order on baby event stuff cag

NSD

ememem84 · 23/08/2017 15:28

cag already thought about that. Also it's Catface's "adopted birthday" on 10 September. I've promised her roast chicken for her dinner not a whole one #spoiled

You can just order desserts from Pizza Hut can't you? Or do you need to actually buy a pizza? Lentil stew sounds good but maybe you need garlic bread or wedges to go with it???

I have no idea what we're having for dinner. I want something like a pizza. But we're out tomorrow for dhs birthday (local theatre restaurant for dinner and maybe silent cinema - depending on what movie they're showing. Because I've booked a table we get headphones for the film for free...)

Maybe a stir fry today. We have a ton of veggies to use. Maybe with sriracha sauce. Mmmm.

Loveabaconsandwich · 23/08/2017 16:30

How'd it go life ?

I may have sent my boss a grumpy email, and then went home. I spent the day writing a report, that one of two senior people to me were meant to write, and I was meant to "help." I think I have mug tattooed on my head!

WreckTangled · 23/08/2017 16:40

£13 at the cafe getting all four dc ice cream, my friend and I coffee and flapjacks. Not too bad I thought. Plus a man gave me his parking ticket so I didn't need to pay for that

Cagliostro · 23/08/2017 16:56

Indeed em it's just minimum spend. I have just ordered sides from them before. Going to PH for DS' birthday lunch next week though.

DCs super super hard work today. DD stroppy, DS stimmy and hyper. Plus the neighbour they play with hanging round until recently. WIBU to just go to bed until DH gets home at 11 (and god help him if he doesn't bring chocolate)?

£28 on a much-needed pedicure and £3.22 on bread, salad, scones and clotted cream in Aldi.

Well done, Cag.Star

Fingers crossed, Life.

Hope it gets sorted ASAP, now so many have con planned, Em.

Cagliostro · 23/08/2017 17:00

Also is anyone having issues with ISAs or NatWest? We've decided to put the money for the dream fridge freezer aside, but DH's ISA said "currently unable to accept payment" or something. So he transferred to me, but mine said the same! I don't really want to leave the money in either current account.

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/08/2017 18:58

I'm still at the swearing stage. Then I get a message from a friend who had devastating news earlier in the year. Puts it into perspective

CremeEggThief · 23/08/2017 19:20

Sorry to hear that, Life. 💙

ememem84 · 23/08/2017 19:22

Oh jeez life that's brutal.

I'm sorry life CakeGin

32 people for one job? That would wind me up. Why not be kind and sift more people out initially Angry as basically 32 people would have spent hours preparing for it. Was this job advertised internal CS?
