I thought ' Hang on, Hush do it in Green?' and rushed over! ( I have the black and the burgundy .. but they only have it in Xs .. but its £20 ,.. not bad (need I think you could justify that you know Wink..) I wish the'yd do it Forest Green and also the long harems in forest green would be fab. (though they have khaki)

I really like the cassie dress and think I am going to order it.. I can see that working with my 'retired lifestyle'!

Ive just had an email from my first ever boyfriend (I was 16 when i started going out with him) talking about Pensions ! Heck, that seems so weird..... (we both happily married BTW, we just chat now and then)

Cagliostro · 17/08/2017 12:28

No idea what I'm getting DD (was 10 in June) other than Lego. She likes clothes and dolls and teddies and would probably want more Playmobil if we had space! She's asked for hexbugs recently too. Getting a basic phone for her 11th birthday.

Em that's amazing re the reduction in CC spends etc, especially when you've also needed stuff for baby boy!

Today is a really dull BLAH kind of day which would normally result in going out for food. Purely through boredom. I am also grumpy about having to sort through finance stuff for council etc as I HATE filling in forms (get really anxious) and I have phone calls to make. Blah.

But I have instead got some cheese sauce out of the freezer, as there's cauliflower and broccoli in the fridge for dinner. And I have ham cheddar and coleslaw for a sandwich now which is always yummy. Will not succumb to another meal out or takeaway. It's horrendous how much I spend on food out but I'm definitely getting better at avoiding it.

Primark, h&m,Claire's accessories vouchers, stationary (pencils and shit, not moving. I always mix up the spelling)
Minecraft stuff, smuggle apparently stops being cool in yr 7.

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/08/2017 13:11

Ive bought the Cassie in L (as its in stock and the M isnt) but if its too big ill order the M (4 weeks delay they say) before the promotion finishes .

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/08/2017 13:27

Maybe I have a postal one too. Will see when I'm home. My email is that offer. I've got small skirts as a wobbly 10. pushing a 12 not buying until I've sorted myself out. Been looking at Richie howey after mummy I think it was recommended him. I live close enough to see if he will do a face to face consultation as I need a kick starter

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/08/2017 13:27

Dress looks nice but can't really see on my phone. Love the rushed skirt. Don't they do a dress version too

Laska5772 · 17/08/2017 13:43

(oh and ive also just got the Cassie in grey Blush) I used to have a dress like it years ago nd really loved it.. I got the M in that one as the L was sold out! one or other will fit!

Em £1200 a month! Shock is this what nursery fees are these days? (remember my DS is 27!) That would take up most of my take home pay!!

WreckTangled · 17/08/2017 14:11

Nsd! And we went to the beach! My friend bought the dc ice creams and me a coffee. It was so windy. My ds is the one on the bike!

Life I got those spellings muddled too until one of the kids at school someone told me that stationery with an E is pens etc. Remember E for Envelope!

Sun is out now. Will get out for a walk in a bit. Don't think I can face the chaos at the park today.

Was thinking it would be an NSD but remembered I have to do the food shop tonight.

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/08/2017 14:57

Expensive do is nursery but that's just eye watering.

needastrongone · 17/08/2017 14:58

You've ENABLED LaskaAngryAngryAngrySmileSmile. Stop it with the Hush stuff!! I got the skirt and the £20 ruched skirt as I know I will wear and wear this kind of stuff. The green is great for winter.

I'm liking the skirt on you though life, suits you.

seacow, neither DH nor I are blessed with amazing teeth, DS's are fine but not as super as DD's, definitely fluke of nature.

I'm perusing Amazon to find some cheap perfume for presents for teenagers that help helped with animals.

girlie, 11 is so tricky. DD isn't a feminine girl either. How about a trendy school bag for high school? She might not be into labels etc but they seem to be A Big Thing, as the kids can show a bit of identity. Or would you trust her to sit in a cinema with her friend while you sit a few rows behind? Making her feel gown up? Pair of Vans?

Laska5772 · 17/08/2017 15:01

need Sorry (dont look at what ive posted on the Hush thread .. )

MeadowHay · 17/08/2017 15:04

I have been AWOL and will be again probs, just popping in to say hi and hope everyone is ok. We are moving house tomorrow EEK the stress is unreal but I just took neighbour's dog for a last walk in the park and that helped me loads. I will miss them, they bought me a lovely bottle of red to say thanks for taking her for walks which was kind as I feel like they did me a favour really.

Anyway, super busy packing, cleaning etc but this time tomorrow we should be in our new flat which is good I guess. Starting new job on Monday too, terrified tbh.

Today has been NSD so far for me today but DH has bought some DIY things and paid our deposit for the removals which was £££. And then we are going to order takeaway for dinner later too. Moving is so expensive!

lifelongfrugaleer · 17/08/2017 15:06

Good luck meadow. One of life's great stresses is moving but you've got this covetedSmile

needastrongone · 17/08/2017 15:57

*covered, bloody autocorrect Angry

Cagliostro · 17/08/2017 16:12

Oh gosh exciting stuff meadow! But anxiety inducing too at the best of times. Good luck with it all, remember the frugaleers are behind you all the way! Thanks

I really enjoyed the mackerel yesterday and it was so cheap too. Must get it again next week, DH isn't that keen (he prefers smoked but I reeeeeally hate the smell of smoked fish ugh) but I might just grill/fry one for lunch with a salad or something. I don't really ever have fresh meat or fish when I'm only cooking for me, which is silly really when it's so easy and healthy to stick a fillet in a pan!

Am feeling so sad this evening .. just heard that DHs cousin (who we were close to) has died of leukemia . We didnt realise he was so ill even, its just so sudden. . He was such a lovely guy and not even 70 . I really liked him.. such a fab person.. Oh and his lovely wife hasnt even retired yet.. so utterley sad..

This on top of a lovely aunt dying last week ( also very sad but that was at least expected) . We have one funeral to go to on Monday and now another ..

Hell... life is cr*p sometimes .

It was because of lovely cousins advice that I have saved enough for my early retirement and campervan.. It will be rememberence of him for that and because he so loved travelling (perhaps ill give it his name when we finally get it)..Sad

Laska5772 · 17/08/2017 18:17

.. I always thought we might meet up with him somewhere when we had our van like Austria for a walking holiday ... he loved that sort of thing and Dh does to .. His wife and I would have been happy doing the spas as well !
