It's a bit ridiculous fluffy im tempted to tell them that we're going out at 1230.

Coppersulphate · 22/07/2017 12:01

Easy day here at last. Just got to water neighbour's greenhouse and do paperwork for the charity.
Good call Cag, no point in rushing. De clutter slowly.
I am like Need. Neurotically tidy. Throw stuff out all the time. Everything has to be put away. No good really.

SnugglySnerd · 22/07/2017 12:11

Fluffy most of our housework is feline related too. Plus we spend a fortune on his special food. I jokingly said the other day that when he dies we'll be able to afford a cleaner. DH pointed out that if he dies we won't need a cleaner!

£30 in Asda. That included stuff for the foodbank as I know a lot of families struggle over the hols when they're not getting their school meals.

They're here here.... interrupted my watching of it's always sunny in philidelphia.
Episode 1 of season 12. The gang turns black. I bloody love Danny devito.

Also. Have discovered black pepper cream cheese. (Soft cheese = not ok for preggos modwife said Philly cheese or "plastic" cheese is fine.) currently eating it with ryvita and tomatoes.

Dh has told the broadband guys that it has to run in from the outside. Not through our flat. They are not happy. It's pissing down with rain.

I was going to go to the stables today and watch "my" group and have a pony snuggle. But I'm a fair weather pony smuggler. The sand school is a proper sun trap so on a hot dry day it's nice to sit and watch. Not so much today.

£122 on a spa morning for my friend and me. She will give me back her half though. I think it's good for £61 you get coffee with home made biscuits, all morning in the spa/gym, a treatment of your choice and then lunch in their restaurant. Can't wait!

Coppersulphate · 22/07/2017 14:40

That's amazing value Wreck. What treatment are you going to have?

WreckTangled · 22/07/2017 14:45

Back neck and shoulder massage!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 22/07/2017 15:00

Hello you chatty lot Grin

North I had similar feelings a year on from when dd was ill, i had flashbacks for a few nights and felt quite unsettled for a little while Sad when something traumatic happens its normal that anniversaries will bring back mixed feelings i guess.

If i could afford it I would def get a cleaner!!

Need one of my colleagues son had his driving test last week, I was really shocked at how expensive it all is now Shock

Dd is off at a local theatre for the day, last show of the school year tonight. Am amazed at how well she is coping given her ridiculously busy week and crazy day yesterday! Her leaving party was at another year 6 childs house who had a massive garden, outdoor heated pool, hot tub, a disco plus massive trampoline and play house Shock Shock Envy parents are consultants apparently.... needless to say the kids had an amazing time!!

I have got the period from hell so having caught up on some housework jobs am now under a blanket watching Gardeners World (I know how to live Wink )

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 22/07/2017 15:05

Oh and I feel your pain re the cats creating mess, my house seems full of cat hair at the moment as they are still moulting like mad!! Plus they also like to kick cat litter everywhere and dray their food about out of the bowl as well Hmm cats are dicks aren't they?? I swear they create more mess than dd.

Both my cats are currently happy on the Harringtons cat biscuits which are quite reasonable price wise.

ememem84 · 22/07/2017 15:35

We have fibre broadband. Woop.

It only took them 3 hours. But no more slow internets.

Just temporarily lost catface. I couldn't see her in her "safe space" thought maybe that she's escaped with all the noise the fibre guys were making. Moment of panic.

Found her though. Under the wardrobe. Even safer safe space. Have left her some dreamies and have left her to it.

Loveabaconsandwich · 22/07/2017 15:52

My teeth have been uncomfortable since my appointment on Tuesday and this afternoon I have full on toothache. Just slept for two hours.

Spent £97 in Tesco this morning. Did get a few good buys. Huggies little swimmers nappies were £5.25 or two for £6. You can get £1.50 back with tcb. Got two boxes of the the new season 8, 5 shopkins which went through at a misprice of £2.49 each (someone posted this on hotukdeals). Got three black light leg tights for £0.83 each. They should last the winter.

I still had to order pampers nappies on Amazon when I got home as they were better value. £14. We only use them at night as she gets so wet, Tesco pull ups during the day.

Trampoline arrived for DDs. But weather is so bad we can't put it together today.

DD1 is still getting "new" chickenpox spots

cag maybe you could get some removal/ skip/ man with van quotes now? Then you'll know what you need once you are ready to book and will make it easier when things may be a little more hectic

Cagliostro · 22/07/2017 15:57

I think that's a wise plan love I have an ISA with not much in it currently but perhaps we could put moving costs aside in there. Will need furniture too Confused as well as baby stuff like a pram!!! Not great timing, expense wise :o

Coppersulphate · 22/07/2017 17:31

Wreck massage sounds just what I need. Been faffing in the garden all morning collecting veg. It's now the rain from hell.....did I once complain that it hadn't raided😟😟

Coppersulphate · 22/07/2017 17:32

Posted by itself.
Been preparing veg for the freezer all afternoon.
Back is aching
Here are the French beans

£10 estate Lauder anr. I had loads of coupons & birthday money so I got the big size, it should last all year.

Did you know you can spend nectar points online with Sainsburys? You just link the card in the account section. I've been doing surveys on and off today for Christmas.

I had to use Tesco points for last years Xmas food.

SunnyLikeThursday · 22/07/2017 18:30

Cag If you do feel at all brave, the freecycle can work weirdly well. If I do a big clearout I just put everything outside the door and then list the whole lot on one freecycle page saying "I'm happy for one person to take everything" and usually the first person who emails comes and take the whole lot away in one go. I can't begin to imagine what they do with it all, because I check if it's worth anything on ebay first and it never is.

I always feel so pleased to be shot of the stuff though.

northender · 22/07/2017 22:14

You are all lovely people, thanks for your kind words, they mean a lot. I am feeling better and very positive again so fingers crossed...
wreck the spa sounds like a good deal and really appealing.
em I'd definitely get a cleaner if you can afford it. I would if I could.
girlie nothing wrong with a bit of Gardeners World, I find it quite therapeutic!
Is seacow okay or just away on holiday, haven't seen Meadow posting either.

The day started with a boot camp session which was very hard but brilliant. Returned library books (£2.50 fine Blush). £8 on a fabric panel for an advent calendar for dnephew. Dd and I are going to do it together. The shop had it made up so I'll try to post a pic of it in a minute. Then spent the rest of the evening watching ds playing cricket. Despite the bad forecast, it's been a lovely day here.

CremeEggThief · 22/07/2017 22:47

I like "Gardener's World" too, Girlie- and I don't even like gardening! Hope you feel better.

NSD.

northender · 22/07/2017 22:50

Hopefully the pics work. The first is the piece of fabric I bought and the second is what it should turn into.

CremeEggThief · 22/07/2017 23:04

Incredible, North. You and Lonely are so talented with fabric craft.

northender · 22/07/2017 23:10

Thanks creme but I'm still very much an early learner with the quilting, I do enjoy it though. I'm in awe of Lonely with the knitting and dressmaking, neither of which I do.

LonelyOversharer · 23/07/2017 06:43

north those panels are great. My mum made one for dd1 when she was 3 or so, and we treasure it.

Up early, big bike ride to do. But I made some overnight oats ladt night, which I'm really looking forward to.

Have good Sunday's everyone.

WreckTangled · 23/07/2017 07:16

North that'll look amazing! I'm jealous of your skills.

I'm going spinning in a bit. Bil is coming to look after the dc as Dh is going to work.

northender · 23/07/2017 08:34

lonely what was also good was that the woman in the shop showed me how she made it up (slightly different from the instructions) which gives a much nicer finish. Luckily it's a local shop so when I've forgotten what she said, I can go back!
wreck well done on the Sunday morning spinning. I'm trying to psyche myself up to go for a run but I ache all over after yesterday's boot camp session.

The rest of the day will be busy. Ds has 2 matches, I'm doing breakfasts at the first one and then taking dd to meet her American pen pal who is in the UK on holiday visiting family. She is very excited. Then we're going to a friend's BBQ. I may pop in to DS' second match for a while but it's not an important game & we can't watch everything.
The only spending should be on some drinks to take to the BBQ. Have a good day everyone.

lifelongfrugaleer · 23/07/2017 08:35

I've had a very rare lie in. Off to Skipton food festival today. Do might be speedy might not depends if my inate Yorkshiremen kicks in.

Spent loads yesterday. £60 primark. Annoyingly forgot to redeem my gift card. £20 superdrug, £20 sainsbury,
Bargain of the day £6 converse boots for ds. Reduced to £16 then I had a £10 loyalty voucher. He loves them. School shoe app made too.
Then drove to friends birthday party no spend as had pic nic lunch on car. Then back to s different sainsbury to buy DC fresh pizza for their grand.
