I've started leaving him behind now for work if he's not ready by a certain time. Especially during term time when the traffic is awful.

We've just got home. He's said that he needs to sort clothes. I've just ignored it. We both know it won't happen.

Veggie stir fry for dinner. Yay!!! A use up what's in the fridge stir fry.

I may have bought some jarlsberg cheese for sammies tomorrow. Mmmm. And squishy white farmhouse style bread. Mmmmmmmmm. It's very rare that we have white bread in our house.

WreckTangled · 27/07/2017 18:53

I'm always waiting for Dh too he's such a faffer.

ememem84 · 27/07/2017 19:01

Oh I'm so glad I'm not the only one.

It's bonkers. It's normal stuff too like "yep I'm ready but just have to put socks and shoes on" then faff about finding socks and shoes he wants to wear. Inside I'm screaming " so you're not ready then are you....!"

Rage rage rage.

Another emails been sent to agent for upstairs flat. Found a sleep recorder thing on my phone so left that running just now. It recorded upstairs' noises. I've also sent the log I've been keeping. And offered for agent to come and sit with us one evening so she can hear the noise first hand.

Laska5772 · 27/07/2017 19:10

i've been working at home all day..no spends but my Saltwater sale stuff arrived..(a jacket, a breton top and linen crops) I think ill be keeping them.. its budgetted for though and nothing else on CC..

Laska5772 · 27/07/2017 19:20

I have rather over-invested in a thread about someone neighbour building a door into someoneelses garden though and have been 'researching' rude gnomes! but h now I want these for my garden

Wheelycote · 27/07/2017 19:32

Laska I actually like those

Laska5772 · 27/07/2017 19:35

so do I wheely Ive bought them !

Laska5772 · 27/07/2017 19:42

.. but i am going to give them as a present to my friend for her garden.. She lives in a flat converted out of an old chapel . her little courtyard will be just the right place for them..

ememem84 · 27/07/2017 19:47

laksa they're awesome! Haha!

WreckTangled · 27/07/2017 19:54

Dh has gone out to see his best friend (who is also a girl ShockWink) so I've eaten all of his chocolate.

Just bought a big bag of boys clothes from a neighbour for Ds. Mainly Zara and next etc. £20.

Cagliostro · 27/07/2017 19:59

Oh seacow that's really sad about his nursery thing :( it's horrible seeing them struggle. And having been told it'd be fine. Nothing like placing neurotypical expectations on a child with SN eh? :( Grr.

SnugglySnerd · 27/07/2017 21:40

Productive evening. Did the shopping for 40ish quid know Aldi. Came home and cleared out 2 kitchen cupboards which meant I could reorganise a third. Just the rest of the house to clear out now...

CremeEggThief · 27/07/2017 22:25

Sorry to hear that, Seacow. Sounds like it wasn't very well thought through by the Nursery.

Good going, Snuggly.

Funnily enough, I had onion and chive cottage cheese on my jacket tonight, Cag, only Sainsburys though. I'd forgotten how much I like it as a summer topping.

Spends: £6.50 bus fare; £7.25 in Pret for DS and I; £3.05 on salad and chocolate croissants. Total: £16.80.

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/07/2017 06:13

Nsd yesterday. Except for usual £5 at gym.

Love the gargoyles.

Nsd planned today. These are all just me. Dh has been blowing the budget looking after the DC. Hey ho it's saved for. And we swap tomorrow as he goes back to work in the morning and I'm off

WreckTangled · 28/07/2017 07:39

I've got to go food shopping today. With both dc. 😭

ememem84 · 28/07/2017 08:05

Woken up fairly early this morning by catface. She had somehow managed to get her fluffy mousie trapped in our en suite. Behind the toilet. Woke up to grunting and meowing.

Had to get up and rescue Mousie. Sigh.

Today should be a nsd. Yay!

northender · 28/07/2017 08:06

Longley Farm products, especially cottage cheese, are amazing and had a very busy thread dedicated to them a couple of months ago!! We are lucky as we've got Booths supermarkets locally which stock all the LL ranges #simplepleasures
Em stand firm in the laundry war. I'm lucky as we do share laundry duties.
seacow sorry about the nursery issues

Good frugal week here. Resisted the takeaway urge a couple of times.
Pil arrived from Devon on the train yesterday. They are with us until Wednesday. We have lots planned (quite a lot of cricket obv) but the weather forecast for tonight (open air play!) and Sunday (cricket & a flower show) is pretty dreadful Sad
Need to get a few clothes for my new more slimline self. Shorts & vest tops should get me through. Along with a good belt to enable some of the "too big" cropped trousers & shorts to be just about okay. I don't want to spend much as I'm carrying on with my programme so will need a whole new summer wardrobe next year!!

Wheelycote · 28/07/2017 08:59

Morning! I'm just scooting in before going to work. Hope you all have a fab day! And catch up with you all laterGrin it's Friday!!!!!

ememem84 · 28/07/2017 09:09

Still standing firm on laundry.

Only washing my clothes and "shared" things (towels/bedding etc). Dh ran out of undies today. Last clean pair.

Bets on him just buying new pants....?!

LonelyOversharer · 28/07/2017 09:40

Yy he'll buy new pants. Dp bought 20 new pairs of socks as he "had none" ie: the laundry fairy hadn't paired up socks for a while. I am now inundated with big black socks.

Had a very angry afternoon yesterday, as we missed dd1's orthadontic appointment by one day. Aaahh. Dp said thursday, and I (stupidly) took his word for it, as he was, you know, reading a reminder text. Turns out the 26th was wednesday, not thursday. I have rebooked this morning, for september!! I am less angry now though.

Torrential rain here, so I am tackling a bit of the bathroom. It's functional but unfinished, so will see about the floor tiles and the gap in the wall tiles (we took out a huge freestanding shower to refit a bath in January). So need to clear all the crap out of there first. The loo roll tube standoff has resulted only in about a thousand ones left in there. It really does seem that I am the only human who lives here with hands.

WinchSparkle · 28/07/2017 09:47

Thank you very much @fluffy (not sure if I did that right)

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 28/07/2017 10:16

Morning all, was completely knackered last night so went to bed at the same time as dd and slept 12 hours Shock feel better for it this morning, was a bit worried that i was coming down with something as ached all over but think it was just exhaustion!!

Day off today and the plan is to go into town, haven't been in for ages (which in itself is v frugal!) but now can't really be avoided, will make a list and try to keep to it though.

Also need cat stuff and to do some clearing up....

Laska5772 · 28/07/2017 10:19

Em if he does make him through all the old ones out!

Laska5772 · 28/07/2017 10:24

Lonely when we were on holiday the house we stayed in had a small showerhead/ douche connected to the loo. really good idea esp as Greek loos you cant put paper down( small waste plumbing it seems) Anyway we liked the idea so much we installed one to our loo as soon as we got back.. its saving us loads of loo paper

WreckTangled · 28/07/2017 10:29

Should have done a tesco delivery 😩 I realised I drive through three counties to get to lidl!
