Happy Easter everyone. Lovely to read all your Easter plans/activities. Dad is staying with me for a few days. Unfortunately, he forgot his reflux tablets so he was awake half the night Sad. I suspect he'll spend most of the afternoon snoozing in his armchair. Planning a big lamb dinner and then some chocolate and tv Easter Smile.

If it's nice tomorrow we'll go for a drive - somewhere with no entry fee. It's still 9 days to payday and funds are low. But we're taking Dad with us on holidays during the summer so we'll have some lovely days out then.

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/04/2017 10:56

Well i forced the kids to church. £1.60 for collection. I figured if i don't go for Easter there is no point following the faith.

It's raining now so indoor NT after lunch.

Waitress once you get into the swing pic nic is great. We feel bereft if we don't have one on a day out now.

Ah poor cateface and poorly DC.
Mammy the room looks great. Ours had a never ending pile of unfiled paper work that i cba to do.

Think we will get some butterflies and set them loose at the allotment. Although we are not plot holder we can get someone to let us in

lifelongfrugaleer · 16/04/2017 11:01

In fact I'm going to run up some biccies to take this afternoon with a flask

MeadowHay · 16/04/2017 11:07

Happy Easter everyone.

I have terrible nausea since yesterday evening when I had a migraine. Migraine appears to have gone but nausea still here so worrying the head pain etc might come back ergh. I think it is this horrible overcast weather, the air pressure like this always gives me migraines Angry.

NSD today again. So cheap staying with my parents Grin apart from the train to get here like. Planning to go to a local museum place later to see a dress exhibition with my mam. Entry is free anyway and my dad will drive us (it's just about within walking distance but it is pissing it down here as usual).

DH and I have 4 easter eggs between us from my parents Grin.

CremeEggThief · 16/04/2017 11:58

Happy Easter, everyone Easter Smile. Hope the Easter bunny's been good.

Mammy, your bedroom is beautiful! The wallpaper, the turquoise paint and the floor are making me very Envy. Lucky you!

Today won't be an NSD, as I'm going to treat myself to an Indian takeaway tonight. I'm all alone for Easter, so I need a treat! It will probably be enough for tonight and tomorrow night, so frugal enough really.

I went to an evening wedding reception in a hotel last night, for a teacher at the school I work at on Wednesdays. She, her husband, bridesmaids and grooms all looked so young; she's 24. It was a lovely evening and nice to catch up with the staff out of school. Spends: £3.80 bus into town; £35 on taxis (it was £25 for the taxi home from the hotel, so not much more than for a taxi from town, so I was pleased with that); roughly £15 on alcohol. I shared a bottle of Prosecco with a pal and I bought a small glass of white wine and then someone bought me another glass of wine. So just enough booze to disturb my sleep, but not enough for a hangover!

mammymammyIRL · 16/04/2017 12:09

Sounds like a lovely night creme
I'm debating painting walls or bedroom this colour there's enough left from doing the sitting room, it's much darker than that just so bright today. Will still match the wallpaper

Can't quite see the shade to comment Mammy, sorry. And I love looking a colours and stuff too Smile

Em Get used to the broken sleep, it's a dress rehearsal!

I think it's the chicken food that attracts the rats rather than the compost. Ours at the bottom of the garden don't get the food waste though to be fair, more the grass, leaves and the like.

Tayto There's loads of free walks and woods to explore usually, you shouldn't have to spend too much.

I've made a quid this morning as the neighbours wanted eggs. I've also run 14.5 miles, took 2 hours on the nail so pleased with that.

Off to clean out my chickens now. SiL is doing Easter dinner.

needastrongone · 16/04/2017 12:39

Here's a link to the new thread I've made as I'm sat with a cuppa. Can't honestly remember when I last started oneGrin.

Anyway, please fill this one up first, no sense in wasting!

CremeEggThief · 16/04/2017 12:40

Wow, Need, you've definitely earned some Easter eggs today!Star You've inspired me to go for a walk. No more than 3 miles though.

Mammy, go for it. You've got the paint, so what's the worst that can happen? If you don't like it, just paint over it. I would have loved that colour in my kitchen diner, but it's such a dark room, I reluctantly decided against it.

needastrongone · 16/04/2017 13:37

Definitely just my thing creme and not worthy of a star, I just run a lot and train a lot 'tis all. I simply hadn't been on the road for a while (lots of trail) so wasn't sure of pace.

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/04/2017 14:29

Happy Easter Easter Smile

Nsd. Watching rich house, poor house.

Cagliostro · 16/04/2017 14:29

NSD here, not doing owt. Just about managed to sort out a little egg hunt last night. Fell asleep on the living room floor while the Caglets watched Horrible Histories to be briefly woken up once to ask what it meant when someone said they had two left feet Confused and once to ask if they were supposed to be going to bed :o oops!

Definitely need a sofa. British Heart Foundation have a sale so we'll get something cheap to get by for a while.

Hope new church goes well Sunny!

CremeEggThief · 16/04/2017 14:32

'Course it is Need.Halo

Congrats on the scan yesterday, Cag. That was a nice touch from the sonographer.

Did my 3 mile walk in 40 minutes, just before the rain started, and had half an Easter egg after it, watching "Hop". Going to heat some soup up in a bit and have the rest of my egg.

SunnyLikeThursday · 16/04/2017 14:39

We had our trip to the different Church and is was good. Good organ music, good singing, nice pews, and chocolate swiss roll afterwards. What's not to like? We topped it off with a nice lunch at the pub opposite and a climb up the hill, so that was a good morning. 80p at church and £22 on lunch. Seems a bit unbalanced that, now I think about it.

Rainy outside, glass of wine, chocolate, Cool Runnings and extra pairs of hands = a very relaxed waitress!

Fluffy I'm finding RHPH really interesting! I liked both families this week. The mum's comment that she'd never had starter, main course, pud in a restaurant really made me think about how eating out for us has become a norm not a treat (as it should be).

CremeEggThief · 16/04/2017 14:56

Sounds good, Sunny.

Welcome back, thewaitresses, I meant to say earlier.

Best of luck with your course tomorrow, Fluffy.

Fluffycloudland77 · 16/04/2017 15:11

Oh it's not tomorrow, it's June. I booked it before the places run out.

Thank you though 😊

Dh doesn't think people will pay an extra £5 to have their body shaded to look slimmer using fake tan Hmm Angry

It's what they do to the Victorias Secret models before their runway show.

CremeEggThief · 16/04/2017 15:45

Oh sorry, for some reason I thought it was on Easter Monday!Easter Smile

ememem84 · 16/04/2017 15:55

need I'm getting used to broken sleep. I'm feeling all sinusey still so that's affecting my sleep somewhat. That combined with the amount of water I'm drinking means I'm needing to wee a lot.

Dh is sleeping in the spare room tonight. His choice.

I've eaten far far too much lamb. Baby likes lamb.

HollyTheHarrier · 16/04/2017 16:04

Just checking in after a very non-frugal (but very enjoyable) weekend away at a friend's wedding. First wedding of about five this year I think...almost all of them requiring travel and hotels! Oh well. It's worth it.

Should do some housework this afternoon but going for a run first. Not sure how far I'll go, perhaps 10 miles.

Great news on the scan Cag. Hope things continue to go well.

Loving all the garden pictures and getting some inspiration for the house I'm hopefully buying...

CremeEggThief · 16/04/2017 16:07

One Easter egg gone, one to go. Might have a wee snooze on the sofa now.

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 16/04/2017 16:13

The little park local to us did a little Easter egg hunt, spent £1.50 on the hunt and £3.50 ish on ice creams.

I'm back to work tomos Sad my week off has flown by.

CremeEggThief · 16/04/2017 16:19

Aw, sounds lovely, Girlie. At least you're making the moment of your last day, before work tomorrow, eh?
