How did the viewing go this morning Em?

Take the sleep in while you can Snuggly, must have been pretty refreshing for you all.

Fluffy There's an offer on the Sparks card at the minute for 25% off 6 bottles of wine. There's a nice Malbec that is 2 for £12 at the minute. So, using the 2 offers combined that's 6 bottles of a lovely red for £27 or £4.50 a bottle. Which I think would be cheaper than even Aldi.

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/04/2017 16:37

£7.50 primary (voucher) £2 Wilko, £41 running kit for dh, £1.69 superdrug. Saw some nice clothes in marks but still have hof and debenhams vouchers to use so will go to the metro next week and find similar styles in there.

MeadowHay · 14/04/2017 16:46

Sunny Wow, last time I looked into it all people who appealed to tribunal had about a 50% chance of the tribunal awarding benefit. It appears that for certain groups of disabled people this is even higher with regards to upgrading from standard to enhanced mobility. DH sent off my documents for my second mandatory reconsideration yesterday along with the formal letter the welfare rights organisation wrote for me. Just have to cross my fingers and wait now, but I'm not holding my breath, I expect I will have to take it to a tribunal as not many decisions are overturned via a mandatory reconsideration.

Horrible and grey today and been raining heavily the last few hours! Had a nice brunch out with my parents and brother before that though. My parents paid. So my only spends today are £1 on a box of pantyliners. It is nice and cheap when I stay with my parents as they pay for everything (they have quite a lot of money so they can afford to, I should add).

Starting to get a headache which I think is due to the air pressure/weather. When it's been overcast for ages I always seem to get headaches and migraines and so does my mum.

allthebestplease · 14/04/2017 17:09

The m and s wine offer is great, such a bargain.
I want a 'crime egg' too 😊
My parents have the lidl coffee maker and the like it. We just use a cafeteria and buy lidl coffee and we like the taste.
£1 biscuits
£3 hand cream
£10 face sun cream spf 50.

These have been the first non food / non going out items I've bought this month, so although I've not managed the whole month, I think I've still been good at not spending frivolously 😏

needastrongone · 14/04/2017 17:16

All Snap re cafetiere and LIdl coffee, I really like the taste, it's actually nicer than M&S ground imho.

Agree re the wine offer, plus you can use it more than once.

3 race entry fees for tough and hilly trail races, £26.

LonelyOversharer · 14/04/2017 17:35

Spendy again today as I needed some more Easter eggs as we're now going to my parents on sunday. Plus top up shop, asda £46. Then £30 in b&q on a right random selection. I need to sort out my chucks with automatic drinkers, so bits of pipe and guttering! Then just some chicken food £9.50.

Spent the morning pottering in my greenhouse, thats all my baby plants potted on. I gave them all some miracle gro, so I'm expecting it to be a jungle tomorrow!

Just had a nap! Contemplating making some dark choc and cranberry hot cross buns now.

LonelyOversharer · 14/04/2017 17:38

We drink Kenco Millicano, now buy this in big tins from costco, and we have proper coffee from a wee stove top thingy, using sainsburys fair trade everyday beans, v tasty. We've got a dolce gusto machine, but its fallen out of use lately, don't know why!

Unescorted · 14/04/2017 17:44

em hope the viewing went well. I hear you on the show home living.

Aldi have got some new wines in. There is a drinkable claret for £4.29, One called Ventoux and a nice Chianti - all under a fiver.... I come out in hives if I go over thhe £5 mark. Obviously I am just doing market research.

Sunny hope your neck feels OK soon.

need you should try the Kinder Downfall race - it has 2 ups and then along the plateau. Great views all the way if the weather is kind.

Loveabaconsandwich · 14/04/2017 17:49

I've been screened out of all the VO surveys today fluffy

Apart from supermarket earlier, managed not to spend anything else.

Had a lovely walk with the kids. Sunnyish and a bit blowy but still nice.

We've made a big pile of clothes to recycle so can now get at my clothes in the wardrobe. Found a lovely hoody that I expected not to fit but it did, just needs a wash. A lot of shirts that don't button up anymore Blush and jeans I couldn't get over my thighs Grin. Oh dear.

It feels weirdly frugal to declutter. Not sure why though!

Girliefriendlikesflowers · 14/04/2017 17:53

Its gone really cold here today, have had to put the heating on Hmm

allthebestplease · 14/04/2017 17:58

May have a look at those Aldi wines 🍷

Did my nails, am going out tonight so the polish is a bit rushed.

Brilliant wine offer Need. Malbec sounds lovely.

Lovely colour All.

First ever solo minx. Really happy with them, room for improvement but I feel much more confident doing them now.

ememem84 · 14/04/2017 18:46

Morning viewing went well. They made an offer. But it was about £20k below our asking price. They called back earlier to increase but it's still too small.

Two more viewings tomorrow. Still can't do any washing. Grrr.

It'll be worth it in the end. I know it. Short term pain.

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/04/2017 19:21

It will be worth it em

LonelyOversharer · 14/04/2017 19:36

Holy cow em they don't hang about round you! Still, the quicker you go under offer the less viewings!

Lovely toenails fluffy weirdly I can stand polish on my toes, think its cos my circulation is so bad I can't really feel them.

Hot cross buns proving. The milk was a bit hot and the chocolate chips melted, I'll mix more in for the second prove, so double choc and cranberry. Might be brilliant, or yuk.

CremeEggThief · 14/04/2017 19:47

Sounds amazing, Lonely. Le yum!

Beautiful nails, Fluffy.

Even if it wasn't the right offer, and offer so soon must mean it won't take long to sell, Em. Short term pain for long term gain, eh?

Fluffycloudland77 · 14/04/2017 20:17

You've got to wonder about some peoples though processes.

"Hmm this flat is in good repair & nicely decorated. We'll offer £20k less and bank on them being desperate". Sod them. They don't get your lovely bathroom now.

Thank you creme and lonely. Usually I think everything I do is not good enough but I'm satisfied with these.

Unescorted · 14/04/2017 20:37

We are seeing a lot of uncertainty in the housing market. There are so many factors changes going on so quickly. Can you instruct your EA to tell the people that made the offer that you need time to consider it but to take further viewings.

needastrongone · 14/04/2017 20:47

Loverly nails all, enjoy your night.

Not a bit of dry or hard skin on those feet Fluffster, and the colour is lovely too. Everything, EVERYTHING you do is good enough. Trying to improve is okay though, for your own sake, but not others.

Ahh Em, I am afraid we tend to put in cheeky offers, it's the businessman in DH. Playing the game, although cars are the worst for his antics. We did get our first house for £30k less than asking price though. Keep going.

You are ahead of me Lonely in the greenhouse.

East tea of spag bol. DS and DH out watching the match, me and DD watching LOTR (The Two Towers). We are both Tolkein fans.

Coppersulphate · 14/04/2017 20:58

Lovely nails Fluffy. They look great to me.
Double choc hot cross buns Le yum
Meadow , I bet you get your PIP. I heard on the news today that ATOS ( is that the firm that do the assessments?) have claimed way over contract because so many people are refused then appeal. Don't understand it but I bet it's a scam. Potted tomatoes on today with DGD. Putting beans in tomorrow if it doesn't freeze them
Tonight.

ememem84 · 14/04/2017 21:14

I'm all for a cheeky offer. Just when I'm the one doing the offering!!

Have felt awful all day. Really achey and sinusey. Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow.

Sounds like loads of you have had good days.

MrsMozart · 14/04/2017 21:25

Ooh. May I join in?

CremeEggThief · 14/04/2017 21:29

Of course, MrsMozart. Everyone is welcome Smile.

MrsMozart · 14/04/2017 21:33

Thank you Creme Smile

I'm having a read to get the gist.
